I wokld love to see you react to the other trailers. Whether it be the archetype or the royal tournament. This game has the potential to be one of my favourite atlus games period.
I think the biggest problem with Nyarly's take is that we follow Atlus for their stellar turn-based combat. We follow fromsoftware for their crazy souls-like gameplay We follow arcsystemworks for their traditional fighting games. Each of these companies specialize in their own department. We dont want atlus making a first person shooter only for it to be garbage and sell low. If they'll make something good, let it be something they have experience in. Metaphor is a great example of having that Atlus "flair" but not being a direct copy of it's predecessors.
not to come across as a fanboy but you should totally play royal. the third semester completes everything storywise for me, and there are QoL improvements which are cool but not as great as the story additions. anyway! i know they said that there won't be a 'definitive version' for any atlus/sega going forward, but this was announced as a game before that was found out so idk maybe i will wait for refantaziodyne lolol
I'm not quite sure how I feel about the character designs :/ I have yet to give Atlus games a try, thought the more fantasy looking one might be a good starting point but hmmm idk I dont feel the vibe ? Should probably just bite the bullet and play Persona like everybody keeps telling me-

On one hand is another Atlus game that I would definitely enjoyed just like SMT 5 Vengeance did on the other hand i cant handle the overwhelming amount of effects of the menus this game has. Hopefully there’s an option for it but rn definitely uncertain.

yea even down to the text boxes i noticed had a lot of moving around and jittering, this game is gonna have ppl’s eyeballs doing backflips
