I love how patient and calm you are with your knitting, I often get too keen to finish things and forget to enjoy the process. Thank you for reminding me to take it slow! 💕
Lovely sweater! Suggestion on the ribbing --- instead of a regular knit, try a twisted knit -- knit in the back of the needle instead of the front. I used to do a regular knit but, like what happened to you, the ribbing didn't look very neat. I saw a video on the twisted knit which provides a neater ribbing. So, do a twisted knit and then a regular purl for your 1x1 ribbing.
I loved your video! My first but I will watch others, I am sure. I recently knit the April and made the same decision about the bind off. It gives flexibility to change and it gives more structure, I think. Love your color, your changes to the ribbing and the button band. Now I need to make another! That color is gorgeous on you. I hope you enjoy your lovely new cardigan. 😊
Separating those strands is an incredible amount of work. You're so patient. I knit my ribbing (when knitting flat) in combination. It makes both knits and purls equal AND it makes the continental purling faster. Andrea Mowry has a video on it: "Combination Knitting: Knit Flat using Continental Style" I really like the "knit with me" format, too. Thank you
I did a free online color analysis on my skin and hair color to help choose the best colours that suits me. This helped me so much by avoiding certain colours that are not in my color palettes, therefore saving tons of money on buying yarns that I will not wear in the future. Love your videos 💓
I did that too actually!! and try to follow it as it indeed helps to save money and avoid disappointments! but this red yarn was bought before that haha thank you for watching! 💕
I believe the ribbing issue is due to the fact that purls use more yarn than knits (which is why inside out in the round looks better too). Likely when you were a new knitter your tension wasn't as "even" which meant your knits also used more yarn making it look even. I agree with trying a twist, but I find that half twisted rib makes it look much better and saves some time over full twisted rib. Your April Cardigan is beautiful with the 2x2 and double knit! :)
I love everything about your version of the April cardigan. I am currently working on my own version and was very inspired. Your project vlogs are amazing! 🥰
This cardigan is just so so beautiful! I love this juicy red colour and it suits you very well! I also think, that modification you have done with ribbing is a great modernization of the pattern! I generally agree, 1x1 rib sucks a lot and often wonky. But i also found out that the wonkiness of the rib depends a lot on the yarn. Surprisingly for me, my neatest rib was done with 3 euro per skin Drops Karisma yarn 😅 Since then i always give a chance of not a high top popular yarns
thanks for watching!! I do agree in the ribbing/yarn type part, I think the more dense the fabric os in general, the easier it is to achieve a neater ribbing and some yarns are just born for ribbing 😅 and less expensive yarns for sure deserve a chance!!!
You are a champion! I think i would go mad seperating the mohair from the merino 😂 The cardigan is gorgeous! I love frogging old projects I'm not loving and reusing the yarn because it just breathes new life into it ❤
I have the same issue with ribbing! I will try knitting it on the wrong side since my ribbing is always better on the wrong side for some weird reasons hahah 💌
thanks! I was using scissors constantly to remove all the fluff that was gathering around the threads. but it honestly went by quicker and easier than I imagined just took some time
Hello, I loved this video, more because I knitted this cardigan and its tourns out huge. I knitted size XS, now I am very curios, why? so I think I will knit one more, just find perfect yarn for it, without mohair.
oh no! when I was looking through the project photos, I actually noticed that in a lot of cases but sadly forgot about it when working on the button band 🫠

thank you so much for watching! oh I am guilty of that as well but I try to slow down 💗

thank you for watching and the tip! I am definitely considering twisted rib now

Wow. I'm so happy that you're still having a red cardigan, but in a much more comfortable way 🥹😻
thank youuuu! you persuaded me to go for a v-neck cardi using this yarn 🥰
@@kniteryna aw, this makes me even happier 🥹

Wow, that's magic the way you transformed one wonderful project into another one. I never thought it was possible!
Absolutely gorgeous! And that color is stunning! Excellent job :)

Very beautiful cardigan! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and honest opinion ✨
thanks for watching! 🤍
I have a tip for tidy ribbing. After a purl following a knit give the yarn a tug before knitting the next stitch.
thanks! I always try to do that and it helps but not always unfortunately
Have you tried doing a combination purl stitch when you do 1 by1 ribbing? It definitely helps me.
I actually did not but it was suggested a couple of times and I definitely want to try this method! ☺️
You are a champion! I think i would go mad seperating the mohair from the merino 😂 The cardigan is gorgeous! I love frogging old projects I'm not loving and reusing the yarn because it just breathes new life into it ❤
thank you for watching! re-using the yarn is such a magic!! love love love that we can do it with our knits!❤️
I find that ribbing is always wonky, but once you block it, it comes out perfect.
gorgeous😍
lovely cardigan!! (also love watching chats and reacts Taylor Swift album reactions)
thank you!! (yees, love their vibe 🥰)
Such a lovely video❤ as always!!
thank you, Jacky!! ❤️
I have the same issue with ribbing! I will try knitting it on the wrong side since my ribbing is always better on the wrong side for some weird reasons hahah 💌
haha so we are matching!! 💌
how did you separate the 3rd strand of yarn from the other 2 strands without getting in a super tangle? I would be interested to know! Love your vlogs

thank you for watching!! this is very surprising to hear! maybe it is something to do with the gauge or how the yarn has stretched after blocking? 👀
I encountered the same problem with the first button beeing to high. 😅
