In part one, Gabriella Krousanio (of Feeding_Wolves) will outline the best practices for building a MetaHuman Identity with the help of MetaHuman Animator. You’ll learn how to prepare the actor, the lighting, and camera setup for high-fidelity 3D animation. We’ll also start covering the process needed to capture the best possible footage for your creation.
Created by Epic Games, MetaHuman Animator helps anyone using an iPhone or stereo head-mounted camera (HMC) capture an actor’s performance and turn it into a high-fidelity facial animation in minutes. The resulting MetaHuman animation can then be used for films, games, architectural visualizations, and more. Anything that requires a human touch.

saying 'from smartphone' rather than 'iPhone' is a bit misleading, thought there maybe was an update allowing us to use this on Android :P

What a difference a lens makes, eh?
Focal lenght change the deformation of the image, a long focal lenght tends to flatten the image, contrary to short focal lenght that deforms close / far away elements@@TallSilhouette

Remember need an iPhone 11 Pro or superior for texture the face. If you want only the expression slower modelos work ok (edited thanks to redder3076) 😉
Nope. iPhone X can still be used for these kinds of apps.
@@redder3076 I express bad, you can use also an XR for taking the expresión of face, but the new feature of taking the texture of face need 11.

Anyone have an insight into how quality differs for older vs. newer iPhones? Would I regret going for the lowest budget option?
I also searched for that answer a while ago without success; maybe now someone knows something. If it’s just for facial expressions (not face texture), an XR works well although it gets a bit warm.
You won't find trustful information -- Apple need to sell new iPhones.

I can't get the teeth to work. It just keeps the mouth closed on the side by side view. Then no matter what the "Prepare for Performance" fails with a small error box in the lower right of the screen with no error message. Extremely frustrating. I can't image using this on location with talent standing around.

I get that an iPhone will be cheaper than a mocap headset, but I spent so much on bringing my business system up to UE5.3 dev spec, there's no way I can fork out another 1500 bucks for a phone, especially when I have a Samsung from last year... Not for at least 6 months anyway!
