I would have NEVER expected Joel to run the business end-to-end like that. I always thought he had a small team. That's insane. Super excited for the documentary.
Looked like he only wanted to go up one notch and than said "all the way" once the the camera turned. Sucks blowing something up when joyriding someone. Good vid though and that is a serious operation run by a small crew.
I love rotaries, but I got to the age where the times mine were running great didn't hold me over for when it was down. Now I daily a 800hp F-150 Coyote (4 years 60kmiles in & still going). No8-10 month hunting blocks, heads on a 2J, no 12-18mo waiting on billet housings & seal kits on rotaries with $1,200 window switches.
I remember at WCF he broke an axle and shot into the right lane! Seeing that in person was my most memorable racing experience. He somehow defied the laws of physics! Words cannot describe! Seeing his old videos of his car moving around like that explains how he was able to save his car that day! He's an inspirational person without a doubt! Can't wait to see what to come this season!
Decimate means 1 in 10 so you assume an all wheel drive 3 rotor would lose 9 out of 10 times on the street? I would have thought it would do better than that.
Ohh my lord..2J Cobra kitcar, can't say I've seen one of those yet, love it! Edit* Joel, personally I feel the compound setup was one of the quickest (or quickest looking) amongst all the FL2K years to date. Yeah, it's added complexity but it seemed insanely quick.
With good balance, porting, studs, I would disagree. The amount of thickness for the housings is insanely good to hold power. The other question is if the tune was good
My best friend and I are trying to get 500hp out of a 13b with a super small turbo, I’m thinking a bigger turbski is required to hit that mark. Oh yeah it’s a 1963 vw bug that’s baby blue, fun car.
Rotary butchers are out in force to comment but they've never owned a rotary. When rotary goes wrong there's reasons, good engine builder and tune is what needs to be questioned. Not all builders or tuners can build and tune rotary reliably even if people say they are the best tuners and builders.
What happened to y’all’s app?? I just got my truck’s 6.0 ls built and I went to use the TRC app to get some rough numbers of some pulls and it doesn’t pull up anymore
No, either not built right or not tuned right. There are alot of rotary engine builders out there, but not all of them can build a solid reliable powerful rotary, of course the tune is everything.
@@xxisawthug They're not trash, because you never had one and you've heard is bad stories about them. I've seen many pistons blow up prematurely in few weeks repeatedly after rebuild consecutively but I wouldn't say They're trash. Like I said alot of people claim they can build engine but not all builders can build strong and reliable aswell as the tune. Mazda won 24hr Lemans race with rotary engine. The Puerto 🇵🇷 Ricans are the best in rotary aswell as Australia and New Zealand 🇳🇿. Rotary is definitely not trash if you know what you're doing with them.
@@Skyrexx7 I have experience with boxers not much with rotary but for some reason I always see the Rx7 and rx8 Broken down or owner struggling with repairs.Ls’s and inline engines last longer then rotary and boxers?

The way Joel drives that white Supra 👌

I love my 2jz and j30s engines
You’re lucky. My 800hp F150 keeps munching itself when the cats plug.
@RadDadisRad stop running cats. Live in a free state where you don't need that trash
@RadDadisRad do you live in Cali? Or require smog where you are at?

Joel= 🐐. What a collection and all with the Correct transmission 💪🏻 #SavetheManuals
Looking forward to this documentary cause this brand is a pretty serious player in the manual trans swap community
From rotary to 2j! both bad ass!
He is so humble its unreal. I hope to see him here at tx2k next year. Excited for the documentary
Rotary life. Build car. Drive it a few months. Blows up. Repeat 😂
Subaru life too
TRC spec 20B in a 4wd Mazda mini truck "Would decimate all" in the streets.

Holy eargasm heaven!! So epic! Rotary for the win!
The faces you make are perfect ha ha.
Joel is definitely my favorite racecar driver. I've loved orange man since I've seen it and stick shift it the coolest
Ready to collect my 1100hp Evo😈🙏🏾 (Birdman hands)
The stick shift racing scene is just on another level of cool sh*t
"Coolant temperature is hot" a rotary owner's worst nightmare
Those RX7s are beautiful cars
750 Whp it's too much for 13b with out billet internals..
I’m sure they know what they’re doing…
With good balance, porting, studs, I would disagree. The amount of thickness for the housings is insanely good to hold power. The other question is if the tune was good
I know a 13b running 1299hp and hasn't lost coolant seal.
If you know what your doing look at the 13b cars at world cup they make a lot of power on just good machining, gaskets, and hardware
Also on a side note, Joel is the best. literally saving the supras. But also how in the fuck did he pull a Supra off for 12,500 😂 that’s criminal lol
Joel....could you sponsor me one of those billet 9in's? (Shaking cup) lol
Dude's an undeniable legend.
Gosh I miss my 3rd gen. She loved to run hot but man that brap is worth it 😮💨

Love the RX-7! Keep up the rotary videos please!! TRC
The black FD has a Burnout widebody kit and was put together by a friend of mine in Rocky Mount, NC. Joel purchased the car from him
I have bought many of the items on those shelves haha

Joel is a gangster! And makes great products

TIME FOR A T-56 WITH A 20B! 🤘🏿
Could have prevented the blowout simply by noticing the TEMP gauge when the car was overheating...
why is the brightness on every TRC video so low? thought my monitor broke.
Was that grub worm he just took out? 24:54

Rotaries doing rotary things unfortunately 😂
Blowing up because it's making 375hp per rotor with factory plates?
he doesnt even know what went wrong so dont be to quick to comment
Why continue to modify this shitty engine, it is not made to run with these power safely. You already have a jz, why waste money?
