I heard this song over a year before it was created, on a deleted livestream way back in 2022 that only remained on the channel for 24 hours. For the entire year after that livestream, I was OBSESSED with this “reverie” song I’d only heard the chorus and bridge of with two hesitant voices and a piano- I still remember having to explain to people that my favorite song “does exist i swear, it’s just unreleased and no one knows about it because it was up but then it wasn’t and now im waiting for it to release again.” It was absolutely gorgeous then, and it was absolutely gorgeous a full year later, if not more. A delayed thank-you for a song that truly makes me feel lost in a reverie of my own, the layering on this and the harmonies have me entering another dimension 💕💕

I have a past, a daydream, a reverie that used to be that will never be again. The memory haunts me a lot but, I’ve let go. I’ve found peace even if it’s hard… thank you for making this song

If Oblivion made me think of my character, Sylvia’s grief and sorrowed anger for the events out of her control, then Revere is her experience with a thing called Phantoms. Basically, Sylvia is one of my Undertale characters, the Soul of Patience to be exact, and once she was killed and her soul contained her consciousness was still aware. Trapped in a senseless void for who knew how long, a strange thing occurred, one second it was black, the next she was back in her room on the surface. It was strange, but she went with it, desperate for anything other than the void, and she ‘lived’ 8 years in that Phantom. She had joys, pains, faced trials, and grew up, becoming a kind and respected High Priestess. Until one reminder shattered the phantom, all she’d known for who knew how long, gone like that. It’s agreed upon that these Phantoms, whatever their origins, are meant to placate the souls that remain conscious in their containers. But to Sylvia, it’s like joyous torture that she tries to break as soon as it starts.
This will be perfect for my Puppeteer/Deal maker partners who fell down different paths playlist! Absolutely fits with how the deal maker had to lock away the puppeteer due to how dangerous they were becoming to their own plans of power, but they still deeply miss their old partner. They know better though. If they let their old partner out, those strings will wrap around them again. A bliss they remember, and fear.

I don't know if you've ever watched the Life Series, but if you liked the DSMP, you would probably love it. And I'm always desperate for more Life Series content 😅. Just a suggestion!
