    On average how much does it cost for Manali- Darcha- Shinkula-Manali trip?

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  Рік тому +1

      Thanks, just the return trip from Manali to Shinkula should cost just the price of petrol/diesel which could come to about 3k (depends on the car etc.) as a day trip is very much doable from Manali to Shinkula if one leaves early.

      Thanks, If you are planning till leh on this route then its difficult especially the part 2 of this route after Padum (the section towards murgumla), maybe someone with excellent driving skills can.

    Excellent videography… Very informative.
    Which month did u travel?
    Also is Gonbo Rangan to Jispa doable in a FWD? Ascending the Shinkula on this dirt track is possible? I am planning this with my new Tata Safari (Front Wheel Drive).

      Is Gonborangan to Jispa doable in a Front Wheel Drive Car? Planning a trip next May/ June 2024?
      This is a dirt track that needs to be driven up till Shinku La top.
      i have done Padum- Sirsir La- Leh this year.

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  10 місяців тому +1

      Road till Shinku La top is pretty good after that its off road but it can be done in FWD if the vehicle has decent ground clearance & since you have driven till SirSir La you can surely do it. Also by next year the roads are likely to improve further.

      @@travellingplaces Sir… i am asking you about the other way round. From Gonbo Rangan to Shinkula Top to Jispa. Asper ur video, Gonbo Rangan to Shikula Top is dirt track but Shinkula to Darcha is good.
      My car has a 2 litre diesel engine with 200mm ground clearance. But its FWD.
      Kindly guide. 🙏

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  10 місяців тому +1

      @boudhayan6720 ok sorry for the confusion on my end. Yes for that I would advise 4WD incase the road conditions remain the same for next year also.

    Can you also mention the cost and travel necessities..is it possible to travel via bike? Great vide

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  Рік тому

      Thanks, yes you can travel via bike if you like to do some offroad riding. Depending upon your bike you may need some extra fuel as fuel stations are at Keylong, padum and kharu. There is not much traffic on this route and even less post Zangla so do carry some basic bike recovery kit. Cost will vary as it would depend upon kind of your transport/vehicle but the food and stay are not expensive here.
      Online ILP you can get from www.lahdclehpermit.in

    Hi i want to go to Drang Drung Glacier from Jispa. What is the shortest route to reach Drang Drung Glacier. In google map it is showing 703KM. Please let me know the correct route.

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  Рік тому

      Are you planning a trek to the glacier? For that I am not sure of the correct route but if you want to go by road and observe Drang Drung glacier from a distance then from Jispa you go to Padum via Shinkula and then from Padum to Kargil via Rangdum & Penzi La. On this route enroute you can see Drang Drung glacier.

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  Рік тому

      Thanks 😊 🙏, agar lingshed route nahi lena then only option is to go via Kargil from Padum. So Padum Rangdun Penzi La Kargil Lamayuru and Leh

      Ye route bhi aisa challenging kuch hai kya?

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  Рік тому

      It will be less challenging than the lingshed route but till 1 hour before Kargil large part of that one also would be off-roadish. After Kargil is NH-1 which is excellent.

      @travellingplaces  Рік тому

      You mean four wheel drive? Yes one can go (to be on the safer side plan for second half of May onwards). One can go in a normal vehicle also but then he/she has to be an extremely good driver as some stretches are tough for a normal car to navigate.
