As a child, during winter I would get in bed & completely cover myself- head to toe, as my mom always turned the thermostat way down at night to save money. I would fantasize about being outside somewhere in the wilderness, trying to stay warm in an igloo, tucked into a sleeping bag with the wind howling around me. This reminds me of those chilly winter nights of my childhood. To this day I can't stand to sleep in a warm room. I like it to be quite chilly, so I can hunker down under a pile of soft, fluffy blankets. This video is the perfect accompaniment!
I love the quiet that comes with winter. That peaceful solitude when you lie awake on a bitterly cold night and hear blustery winds like this. It can make you feel like no one else is left on Earth but then you realize, out there somewhere, someone else is lying awake, feeling the same way ❄️💨❄️

Many, many years ago when I was a little boy I used to imagine sleeping on a bed in an arctic snowfield like this. It is quite amazing to realise that I wasn't alone in finding the fantasy comforting.
I've never experienced cold like this as I live in a warm, tropical state! However, after reading others comments about hunkering down under multiple blankets to keep warm sounds so wonderfully cozy!
I spent 9 1/2 years in a western U.S. wilderness area. I wintered alone twice with no cabin, only minimal shelter. I couldn't get to town until spring and only had a few basic supplies, a rifle, a good sleeping bag, my youth and little else. This is quite a few years ago now but I still think of that time with great fondness, as difficult as it was. This takes me back although most nights were so quiet you could hear the snowflakes as they landed.
Those must be such magical memories you have to look back on. Not too many could survive that, especially alone. I bet you could write a damn good book.

Why does this stuff calm me. Hurricanes, storms, etc. It calms me.
I believe the relaxation that comes to the mind with bad climate is directly connected to knowing that nothing is expected of you during this time. When there's a huge storm, no one expects you to go to work, no one is going to show up at your door, no one is going to ask anything of anyone. It's understood during horrible weather that everyone is to hunker down and just wait out the storm. Zero expectation, complete permissions from everyone to relax....
It works only if you're in a home and not actually exposed to it. It's the feeling of safety, but also the connection with nature we all have deep inside of us
I live in west virginia and it is about 12 inches of snow right now where i am. Snow always scares me because of the noises i hear outside and i was completely shocked today when i found foot prints bigger than mine going into the woods very far. I’m in the igloo with husband and dogs. We are warm have full tummies and feel safe and cozy. Have thermos of coffee and donuts for breakfast then helicopter scoops us up in morning. There are 20 surrounding igloos filled with strong brave men up and talking, laughing, keeping eye out for any dangers.

Don’t worry! I listen to stuff like this around the same time of year. It usually means I’m done with summer weather and I want to go back to the cold again
I have ADHD and OCD which make me feel awful. I'm glad to discover these amazing sounds. I listen to these sounds to calm down. It makes me feel so relax but unfortunately I'm gonna join the army in couple of days because it's mandatory in the country where I've been.
That’s how I am , love winter , my whole grown up life didn’t have heat , kitchen stove lol , me an my kids huddled around it , am 65 now an have a old wood stove , my room has to be frosty , I know I’m weird , my grown children don’t like it cold . I’m very warm blooded always have been , ty I’m not alone with temp lol
The time I feel great most is when I listen to these amazing sounds. I dream of being in this place and inside the igloo and I read a book, there is no one but me. It's incredible moments which give me amazing feelings. Im saying I think no place can give me these such feelings but here on earth. I question of human existence like why we're here? kinda questions. I know I'll never able to get such a place but I'm so happy I can get this through this video. Thanks for whoever shared this amazing video.

Could you actually live in an igloo, amazing to think about.
same idea . But without a lamp. I have taken into consideration. I hear the sound of rain with thunder and the sounds of birds. In a three-hour video, too. And I made the last hour in the video a dark screen that helps you sleep while you are comfortable and do not look at a flashlight that causes you inconvenience
Heard a similar noise like this in the middle of the night, all by myself. What a way to get shivers 😂
I love the sound of the howling wind. Real good video you got here. THANK you. I think this might be one of my new favorites. 😊
I'm excited for winter and the holiday season.
I love the sound of winds and snow make me feel like free
So relaxing and an awesome sound for sleeping. ❤
I’m in the igloo with husband and dogs. We are warm have full tummies and feel safe and cozy. Have thermos of coffee and donuts for breakfast then helicopter scoops us up in morning. There are 20 surrounding igloos filled with strong brave men up and talking, laughing, keeping eye out for any dangers.
lol how'd you get internet connection so far up North
She’s lying!

Man the Terror is such a good book and show!

I am from srilankan

I always loved frost cold and the breeze, but as a kid I lived (and still do) live in a cold area in Australia and whenever there was thunder hail or just a chilling breeze/frost I covered myself in a bunch of blankets and imagined it to be I was in a Arctic area trying to stay heated good memories and to this day I love covering myself in blankets and sleeping in cold weathers.
Definitely true, which areas of Australia are cold?
OMG! This is so good, it gives me the shivers! ⛺ 🥶 🔥....

I live in scorching humid FL and this relieves my suffering a bit
This sounds like how it would feel to be taken away in my sleep during the night. Eerie. Peaceful.
mid summer of 2024 and im playing this as i go to bed what’s wrong with me
Don’t worry! I listen to stuff like this around the same time of year. It usually means I’m done with summer weather and I want to go back to the cold again
It's way too hot - climate change is real; we seek self soothing and that's okay; currently in Las Vegas
@@cocoaball1 idk abt all that but
I know all about that!!@@5.56Arp
Summer of 24 here. A blizzard sounds amazing.
This exceeds the level of impressive⛄💯
Even though it's still summer, this makes me wanna have cocoa, a blanket, and a crackling fire in a dark room.
Makes me want a shot of Jack a beer and a woman who will take me as I am and I will reciprocate forever.
With all the hightech windows and siding etc , ya can't hear a hurricane outside. Not saying that's a bad thing. But I remember growing up in a old farmhouse.
I found this just after having watched a documentary about life at a south pole research outpost. Perfect.
cracking ! great sound makes me pull the blanket around me ,,,,even in the summer,
Great Job well done ! thank you

Trapped.... No way out from the scary cold windy arctic environment. I might as well curl up under my nice warm blankets and get some sleep💤🛌✨🌌❄️🥶
Good call!
