I know most people think I'm nuts but I love winter! Especially now since I'm retired. But seriously, There's something mystical and magical about a snow storm. The stillness and calm while it's snowing, especially at night, is a perfect way to center myself. Thank you for sharing. I know what I'm listening to tonight when I go to bed!

i cancelled all my other subscriptions, everything, and pay youtube premium only. here's what i can tell you. if you methodically save videos you "love" and categorize and write nice comments why you love them, youtube builds a deeper profile of your likes and how it shuffles content for you in ways i've never experienced before. i work as an instructor of university computer science and it blows my mind weekly. a side benefit is i've also meant more people with similar likes and interest, like rock music, and i get sent videos never knew existed and similar, like old 80s rock ballads that never made mainstream but are still amazing if feeling in need of drippy ballads. best instructor .brian

I grow up in Russia, moist cold -40 feels like -55 in a good days. Reminds me my childhood up in the mountain smoke of wood and snow. This sound makes me feel home and hot soup.

Moist cold is the worst.The humidity seems to enable the cold to seep through your layers. But, this kind of cold makes any kind of hot food seem even better...soup, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, whatever.

As somebody that's been living in the Philippines for the last couple years I cannot overstate just how much I miss winter.
Yes, people living in hot regions long for winter and snow, I understand you very well. I also share soothing and peaceful sounds and images. Take a look, I'm sure you will love it. I wish you a good day.
Reminds me of Alaska nights. Cup of hot eggnog watching the Northern Lights play across the night sky, Some of the best memories of my life. Snowshoe rabbits and occasional winter fox trotting thru the back yard. Buffalo, moose, elk, bears and the occasional wolverine all while we were safe and warm in the house.

I love the sound of storms. It brings me peace while I lie in my warm cozy bed. Sometimes I feel sad for the homeless and the animals though.

Animals don't really need your pity they've got hibernation cycles and thick fur to protect them form the cold.
I lived in Colorado for most of my life and experienced multiple blizzards. I moved to Louisiana and we didn't get a single snowflake that wasn't made of paper. Seeing snow in Louisiana is as rare in Louisiana as it is to not get any snow for a whole winter in Colorado. Most of the people I know in Louisiana have never seen snow in their life unless it's on a screen. This really helps because it makes me feel at home and at peace. It helps me sleep, calm down, and just plain feel better.
This is the coziest sound known to man. A cold haunting howling wind and blizzard. Always loved this sound growing up as a kid especially. 🌬❄

I love the sound of this. It feels independent, like the wind is considered one entity, yet it is just as strong as any other form of weather.
I love this weather. So isolating, soothing, sing-song-- like wailing banshees. I'll take this over heat & humidity any day. Even my arthritis feels better in this weather.

@@predictivetextisforaunts i get your humor and its funny but my mom would have been 70 on January 1st and i still have uncles alive who grew up with an outhouse. even in a city when the grandparents had good jobs at the railroad and nice cars. Don't know why they never did a septic or maybe they did in the 60s, but its a strange world, especially when poverty doesn't allow you the choice to make decisions you would prefer occasionally.

What's funny is that as humans we love this noise as we associate it with comfort and warmth, wrapped in a blanket and feeling protected. Having grown up mostly in the deep south, I've only had a few chances in my life to experience a full northern winter. Now that I moved to New England to retire, I am hooked on snowy winters. Part of that may be I don't drive anymore lol but I can just sit inside a big window with a cup of tea and watch the snow fall silently all night. But nothing beats this sound when I'm ready for my zzzz's.

As soon as I heard the first few seconds of this sound I Instantly felt my blood pressure drop and felt calm. It's the stillness of the trees in a kaotic wind and it soothes.

The sounds of nature are so unique each are like snowflakes. Your ears get whispers of its design as it unfolds before eyes through the landscape of time. Oh , how beautiful and mysterious it can become. Your thoughts just seem to wonder off as you place the scene within your minds eye to grasp. The seasons are dressed in its own time, as the weather begins to shape its future. What a wonderful feeling to be lost in the arms of nature.

Getting away from all signs of civilization, surrendering to a completely natural world. Deep down we all want to reach a state of transcendent bliss like this. The video is excellent. // This coming summer, when I am broiling for 4.5 months of high heat and humidity I will return here and find some relief. UPDATE: November is just days away. We're back to colder weather yet I still like listening to this blizzard wind.

I agree! It reminds me of when I was younger around Christmas time and it would snow like this, and I was always happy because that meant I could make a snowman at recess the next day.
Yeah it's like Winter time and when the wind is picking up. The wind blowing always puts me at ease for some reason. On some chill relaxed vibes type ish.

This reminds me of when I was a child, my brother and I watched the 3 stooges and one store of a castle they were in and the sound effects were just like this, a haunted castle, great memories 😊
While blizzards (inside) can (sort of) be fun, even snowshoeing outside on a windy and snowy day is amazing too.
Also, this is quite a throwback to spending half of my (12 yr old) life in Norway and Newfoundland. The winters were amazing, and definitely my favorite compared to Houston weather lol.

I don't know why I find this relaxing but I do, in winter I put this on at bed time and grab a mug of hot chocolate and me and my pets settle in. This seems to settle my cats and puppy down we all hunker down and drift off and ready for a new day. Wind and rain does it for me

This terrifying storm🥶 is beautifully presented. Strange how I find it comforting . Imagining a warm fire, a cozy blanket,rocking chair, sipping a nice cup of tea.

I had the same experience;
I fell asleep to the howling of the wind in the forest wherein the trees swayed back and forth throwing the snow off their branches onto the soft, white drifts beneath and waking up I greeted the crepuscular dawn with the words 'fuck it, my phone credit is all used up'.
It is very calming
