The Danish are doing things differently, they are using L-amino acids along with kelp extract and fulvic acid to increace the uptake of calcium, calcium is the key to higher bricks, the L-amino is the key to making the calcium more available to your plants
Excellent video with lots of info. Truly appreciate your hard work showing us all the signs and symptoms of nutrient deficiencies. Thank you very much!
Very helpful but I feel bc the plants aren't established and they are young you won't see the nutrition deficiency stand out the same way as in a bigger more established plant. For example I bought a dinner plate dahlia beautiful and pretty tall. However I could see the chlorosis and some interveinal chlorosis on lower older leaves, much easier than in your younger examples. I realize it's stunted though. So I'm newer to plants and gardening but I've saved so many using common sense, research, and dedication. I get upset if I can't figure out. So I'm hoping to learn more efficiently. Thanks for the video it helped me figure out my dahlias issue.
This is such a useful presentation! I really appreciate the information shared. 1 lb/100 gallons breaks down to .5 ts/gallon if I did my calculations correct. I realize this recommendation is likely for a large scale application as part of the irrigation system. As far as home garden application of magnesium goes, I was planning on using Epsom salt as a foliar spray. I have seen recommendations for 2 Tb/gallon earlier in the season and then 1 Tb/gallon once the weather has warmed and growth has slowed. Do you agree with that application?
How is it useful? He says over and over how rare this stuff is? These aren’t normal circumstances and you’ll likely never see any of this. Unless you also grow your dahlias in tiny containers off kitty litter?
I think I have watched this video 10 times in the last month. This video has been so helpful to me. In the past I would just yank a plant when I couldn't figure out what was going on but this has been so helpful that I don't need to do that anymore. Now if you could just do a video on black leaf diseases. I know this isn't the black spot of roses, but I've been having some trouble with my wisteria and one of my sprinter boxwoods. Is that email address at the end still a valid address to get some help troubleshooting some of these problems?
great presentation. I live in Florida zone 10b and we've been getting rain everyday for the last 3wks almost. just wondering is there anything that I can do prevent root rot ? My dahlias are planted in well drained soil but I've noticed the past few days that the leaves of two appear dry.
What about when the Dahlia has emerged from the ground and is about 3 weeks old in the whole plant keeps wilting and it has sprouted two stalks off the tubers but one of them had died and now the second one looks as if it's wilting in the same fashion which to me looks like too much heat but it also looks like too much water with the way the plant is wilting? I pray to God I get an answer from this comment because that would be incredible!!! Thank you if you can
I have a bicolour dahlia, which has plenty of buds on it, but the flowers half way through the blooming process starts wilting from the base of the flower & doesn't bloom fully. Any idea what's causing it please ?? I live in South East of England.
@@shannondaniels6 Nope :( Overwintered my Dahlias and have got them in the ground last month. Will update if I notice any difference this year. Trouble is... half of my tubers rotted in the ground due to the heavy rains we've had... rest are being eaten by slugs / snails. The pallets aren't helping :(
This is just so helpful, thankyou! I've used this info several times and my dahlias are now no longer yellowing!

Unfortunately mine suffered this summer with the rain & hot weather

The tuber might be rotting...

I’m having the same problem. Did you ever figure out what was causing it?
