The best way to avoid hackers is to play on a medium pop server instead of the highest pop. I have lived for over 2 days now with 25+ kills without meeting a single hacker now since I only play medium pop

My Way of DayZ Vanilla is waste a few hours finding food getting a gun run to NWAF. Die to player hiding or trusting some player then Uninstall. Then Install a week later and repeat.
You put the words "Vanilla DayZ" into any title and you're losing out on potentially tens of thousands of views. Noone wants to watch a man battle against stamina on a giant map whilst using crappy vanilla weapons for 40 minutes.

Only played official for my 2k hours, Biggest tip is probably just to shoot anyone you see and you'll be good.
Biggest tip is to not be disappointed when you die by a modder.
