I like how you show the different neighborhoods in the Valley. All the different parts of Phoenix metro are very diverse. That really comes through in your videos.
That's walking distance to the first home my parents bought. It's on Voltaire. It was a brand new John F Long home built in the late 60's: popcorn ceilings, straight shot from the front door to the sliding glass door off the kitchen, no other doors to the outside, just a shower in the master bath, carport, breezeway, and shed ... This house is deja vu 😁
Tappin’ in with you Big Super… Man I really appreciate the fact you stay brining that A1 content for the culture! House is decent, in a decent area but I gotta keep it real with you, ain’t no way that home is worth 1900. 💀💀💀😂😂😂😂 After the AZ tax kick in you looking at about 2150. I hope that you and the family are good super . I thought maybe I wasnt getting the notifications that you posted because UA-cam really be on there bully. 😂. Hope to see you upload soon 💯🙏
Meh, not what it used to be. I'm at 23rd and Rose Garden. Seems to me the homelessness and drug, crime issues are creeping further north. I use the post office at 19th and Cactus, and frankly to it scares me sometimes to even go there. I used the mail where I was living, but 8t was broken into several times this year. So, no,byour area is not that great. I know because I live close to it and visit it every day
@@susanhafferkamp4325 I agree we live off cactus and 35th ave and there's a shitload of homeless. It seems like wherever there's a QT that's where they are. We have equity seriously thinking of getting out of this area,
This home has beautiful upgrades ! Love the colors and quality bathroom tile. I love the casita ! But, yes backyard was not as nice as what the inside was. But overall really impressive older home ! Thx, Big Super !
This is actually a great starter home or home for a family of 4 or smaller. Not big on the closet space BUT a small dresser could be placed in the bedrooms as well. But it was really cute
I love the updating on this oldie but goodie, the only thing that would hold me back, if I could afford a house, is that it's on a main street and believe me, I live near there and drive around there all the time, there are def some riff raff around.
OK big super this one was a bit adventurous but we made it through without incident. This home is promising and it is a nice size, good job big super you did well.
That home is cute, Big Super. It's so practical in how it's designed, so a family could really settle in. It'll do exactly what it should, and can be made quite comfortable. That casita is a real surprise. It's definitely a way to bring in some extra cash every month. That main street would take a little getting used to, but it's a good one. Thanks for sharing. 😀👍🏾
If your property is known to have a Casita, you better report that as income. Seriously. The deed will show that as a structure. Your neighbors might turn you in for having somebody live in that full time. Think big, but he willing to pay the consequences for that unless you get permission to use it also as rental property. I know, because others I know tried to pull that off.. You can't have people live in be a Casita for rent full time. And in closing.... he's still in the front yard YELLING over the traffic noise. Lol. Yeah, a prime location.
Hey super I do contract work and construction in Maryland. All over the state. Baltimore, Prince Georges County, District of Columbia. Those Block walls are found in 2 places, older homes from the Levittown era (They were wallpapered over) and, Public housing where it wasn't wall papered over. It can keep things cool if the paint is light and you have cross ventilation.
The covering over the front porch is all show, but no go. Gives an older house a fresh look, but doesn’t offer protection from rain or intense UV rays. The house is a lot of bang for the buck in a good area. Nice find!!
I love older brick block homes though I love the set up. I grew up in the avenues of greenway/thunderbird area and went to both greenway &TBHS back in the day. Loving the kitchen. It’s just me. $1945 is reasonable in the current market. It just reiterates how good my tenants have it to still be paying that "old rent price." It's all good. That 4th outdoor room was a big surprise. I was literally in suspense 🤔 wondering what those double doors were for. I can remember when I first moved to the valley. I had just graduated college, didn't have a car, and road the bus everywhere (even to work and back). I used to ride the bus to Paradise Valley Mall. Riding the bus everywhere showed me how to navigate around Phoenix. Thank you Mr. big Super Living in Arizona for the excellent home tour.
I was just in that area yesterday, but on Cactus... PV one of my fav areas. A little more $$$ into and it could be really nice.... Paint that backyard fence for sure.
I feel the same of mixing of the wood cabinet colors in the kitchen. But, it’s some type of trend. I see it all the time on Instagram. I don’t care what color the cabinets are. I just want it to be a clean uniform appearance. I liked the guest bathroom. I guess that’s the mistress suite outside. Lol!!! In all seriousness that would be perfect for my living situation. The only problem is the dogs like to walk around the house and give love to everyone. We never know who the dogs are with. Sometimes they are in the family room by themselves living their best life. I like seeing green grass in the back and front yard. My son-in-law may differ since he mows it.
Morning Big Super. I'm relocating to Glendale AZ from Sacramento CA . Company I work for wants me to work at their new fab shop. Are there any moving companies that you would suggest using. Keep up the great videos.
Only open slats are allowed because of the high winds that we get. Some HOAs don't allow closed roofs, however this house doesn't look like it is in an HOA.
I mean it’s okay . I was on renting on 44th street and thunderbird 2 years ago . It definitely went downhill going that way though . Still good enough I guess .
I’ve heard you say renters want grass in the backyard, but a lot of renters don’t want to maintain lawns…. Is that just a personal preference or do a lot of people renting really want grass?
I’m moving in the next two months and I’m looking for a place to rent there but I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews about Streetlane Homes, Invitation Homes & Progress Residential. Does anyone have any recommendations for any other realty places to rent from ?
The awning thing is all spaced out to make it look larger without using as much material. It might help keep that room a little cooler, but probably not that well. I thought it might have to do with fire code, as a lot of places require a sprinkler system on any solid topped outdoor roof, like the kind that would trap smoke in instead of letting it rise. But the rest of the house doesn't have a sprinkler system, so I'm not sure if that is the case here. I agree so much on the "lawn", seems landlords are tearing out all the plants for the tenants to enjoy. Sad thing is that ends up making that area of the city much warmer, trees and other plants really do cool the place down a lot. The wood fence is pretty usual in older post-war neighborhoods, but people are replacing them with block as the wood fences are getting too dried out and cracking. I grew up in a similar house to this one in Maryvale. In that one the bedrooms you called 1 and 2 had their closets in the wall dividing the rooms, with a linen closet accessible from the hallway. There was no extra bedroom in the backyard, and the laundry machines were on the back patio, not in a room off the garage. And I think the rooms were a lot wider on the streetside dimension, at least the (separated) kitchen and living room were. Otherwise the house was pretty similar. I was in "bedroom 2" and had some toys made of that soft plastic tablecloth material touching one of the brick walls. They got so hot one summer that the plastic got melted to the wall.
