Rice will keep for a week once cooked (similar to in a rice cooker) ..you should consider precooking 3-4 cups and keeping cool/sealed..then you can just add to stir fry and no crunchy-rice ;)
One of the best video's I've ever seen! The quality of your videos have moved into the professional category! You're editing is excellent! I've been to Yosemite and you've captured it's beauty in a way that's unique to you're own style! Did I say I really enjoy you're video's? Awesome work Jake, safe travels...
Annie is such a cool dog! I love how she was getting all the sticks out of the water:) My pup and I are going to start our 50 state road trip this year, and I can't wait! I searched for "living in a jeep wrangler" and found your page. You make awesome content! Keep it up, and safe travels! Aloha, Amy
i don't understand how some people make videos of other people videos and get millions of views but you actually have something to watch and only get a couple thousand...
I use to live up by Yosemite in La Grange I had 3 acres overlooking The Don Pedro lake, I loved living up there so close to Yosemite went there a lot. You can go to Buck meadows out of Coulterville to free camp, you will love it there we use to go off roading there to Eagles Peak You can the backside of half dome.loved the video!!
Wow, what an amazing video again Jake. I love your video, especially the videos like these that really show the landscape. I've been watching you almost since you've started this channel. It's crazy how much you have grown and how much your videos have changed. They have changed in a good way. Keep up the great work man. Hopefully one day you will come to PEI, Canada and we can meet up. Thanks for doing what you love to do and sharing it with us, your fans.
I can't remember the last time, or maybe never, I saw such great videography with such an eye for beauty. Beauty of nature, but also the beauty of directional lines, patterns, color tones and value combinations, interest and of course mood and composition. I can sense all of this clearly.
My wife and I were there few months before you. 3 days... Half dome hike and lots of pictures. Best place I've ever been. Glad a fellow Jeep guy made it up there.
One of the better videos that you have done. Really enjoyed how you narrated and captured your thoughts. Truly made it "The Stories of Jake, Jade, and Annie". Until now, I have seen it as more of, "The Adventures of Jake, Jade, and Annie." Thanks for the 17:02 minute break from the daily grind.
Yosemite is on my bucket list. Thanks Jake for an awesome video. You guys were missed but so happy you got some downtime (away from editing) to enjoy your time there. God Bless!
By far,my absolute favorite video on UA-cam!I have probably watched this 1,000 times! We want more videos like this! It's a master piece... And BTW my 3 year old loves your videos too. She tells me"daddy, I want to watch annie!"
Jake, you should use Gaia GPS! It's a great maps app that has topographic maps and many other types. It shows a lot of hiking and off-road trails too. The best part is you can download these maps for off-line use so when you don't have service you will still be able to see the maps. You can also drop waypoints (like for your camp after exploring) and you can preplan routes to see how long they would take. Or if you were just exploring you could track your route so that you could re-create it if you wanted to or just backtrack if you needed to. I highly recommend it!
Does UA-cam have video awards? If they do, I nominate this video for best content, videography ... video-ography ... vidography ... great shots, and story line. Thank you for sharing and have a terrific weekend!
I forgot shapes, movement and life... even sound. Top notch. One example, the black dog with white markings, eating from a metal bowl adjacent to a cobalt blue water bowl. Composition or angle: perfect. The tire to the right with dirt in the wheel's grooves, rugged! Then you washing something from a cobalt blue water tank on the back of the Jeep. Beautiful!!! Remarkable. The way you play with your dog, wonderful, a lot like me. You have a great life! Personally I'd prefer no talking in the video. It needs no narration, no talking, just the video itself. Anything else takes away from the effect for me. An unspoken video has more drama and effect. Only, if a video is strong and yours are super strong!
This was awesome. I've never been to Yosemite but after watching this, I feel like I know what's it's like to be there. I love the way you shot and edited this piece and your calming vibe is welcoming and infectious. I'm excited to join you on the rest of your journey.
Jake, man this video was freaking awesome. your cinematography is beautiful and your voice is so soothing. great video, I can't wait to see what you do next. keep it up!
Incredible cinematography! I loved the documentary style of this video with the voice over. I could've easily watched another 30 minutes of this type of video! Keep up the incredible work, man! I'll see ya when you make your way to Pennsylvania!
Loved the short film Jake. Really impressive how you've perfected the vlog and more cinematic stuff as well. Looking forward to more videos like this in the future. Keep up the great work!
Usually watch your vids at night but I couldn't wait. Your best photography yet! You gotta be spending some crazy brain cells on all of your shots and angles. Pulling away from a shot and then stopping to go and retrieve your camera, lol. It feels like you have a camera man with you. Good stuff!
Jake, here's how to make that meal work better...cook the meat in the pan 75%, set aside (just use a small food storage container with a lid to protect from bugs, a baggie might melt with the meat being hot), now you will have a nice flavor base to add water & the rice. Cook rice till almost done, re-add meat, let heat 2-3 min, then add veggies...done in another 3-5 min 👍
Jake I started watching your channel about a month ago and have watched from the beginning to now and this is hands down the best one yet as far as quality and editing. You did a great job. I'm hooked and trying to catch up. But then I'm gonna be bored with only a video every couple of days or so.
You know your morning is gonna be good when jake uploads a video
CamilaTimeTv couldn't have said it any better myself. and this upload? glorious... !
CamilaTimeTv for shure
Loved this video Jake it feels more like a short film than a vlog!!
AdventureVibes I agree. It's more like a travel documentary
Looks like fun!
Seriously this is some professional videographer type material here Jake, badass edit!
These old videos are the BEST! Such Passion in them!
i like this style. you can tell you took the time to edit and not scramble around to get footage. its kind of like a short film.
I prefer this style to the more recent stuff. Truer creative story telling
I love how you talked over the vlog the whole time
Super cool
Daniel Sbardella I thought that was a cool new "storyteller" spin too
Rice will keep for a week once cooked (similar to in a rice cooker) ..you should consider precooking 3-4 cups and keeping cool/sealed..then you can just add to stir fry and no crunchy-rice ;)

First of your videos I have ever watched. Those park images were great.
Composition, framing, exposure all right on the money. BRAVO
I keep coming back to this video. The content, editing, filming, vibe, everything is just so good. I want to be able to do this once
Yeh! Welcome back. Yosemite looks truly mesmerising!!

Yep, this is the best one yet! Love watching you honing the skills and taking us along to these cool places.
i don't understand how some people make videos of other people videos and get millions of views but you actually have something to watch and only get a couple thousand...
briley bradford a dumbed down society. It takes intellect to find these sort of uploads to be entertaining and enlightening. IMO

professional quality and delivery. You have set a new bar for travel vlogs. I really enjoyed this one.
I can't remember the last time, or maybe never, I saw such great videography with such an eye for beauty. Beauty of nature, but also the beauty of directional lines, patterns, color tones and value combinations, interest and of course mood and composition. I can sense all of this clearly.
Leontine Vandermeer - Thank you!
Awesome film Jake! Story, cinematography, heck, all of it was great!!
I can totally see Jake getting some land and building a cabin in the woods when he gets done with his adventures.
Jake I love this. it's like a vlog but not a vlog. a breath of fresh air and feels more professional.
My wife and I were there few months before you. 3 days... Half dome hike and lots of pictures. Best place I've ever been. Glad a fellow Jeep guy made it up there.
