Maybe i'm wrong, but i think tanaka is also locked behind the hermit social link, as after she mentioned getting insulted by him, makoto mentions he could find him in the mall
Tanaka is locked by Maya, you need to do Maya to get Tanaka, I’ve went through a majority of the game without seeing Tanaka however the moment I get Rank 4 Maya I immediately unlock Tanaka
Just finished my first play through Hiragana was on rank 2, Fuuka was Rank 3, and Aiges was rank 9. The main thing I did wrong was I finished the social links outside of school too fast because I always happened to have the arcana for them at the time. I was so pissed in January when there was that huge stretch when NO social links were available. I’m glad the later games made it so most links were available whether school was open or not.
You should probably mention you need to do Ken’s link story as well or you won’t be able to craft Michael who is needed to make Metatron who is needed to make Telos.
You have to hang out with him when his link episodes are available. Same with Junpei, Akihiko, Koromaru, and Shinjiro. You'll know if you see a blue circle with two exclamation marks above his head or on your map. If you take too long you're locked out for the rest of the playthrough.@@АнтонТрошкин-ч5щ
Your tip for the dating website and shrine might have saved my run lol. I felt like I screwed up some social links in the early game but now that I have nothing to do at night I can save social links with the website haha
Finished a NG 100% SL Merciless run following the Power Pyx guide and I have to say my top recommendation is to have the right arcana persona in your inventory for every SL events even when you're just hanging out or paying for shrine visits. Almost messed up my run by not having a Priestess persona for Fuuka during the dead air between SL ranks. This game is very strict especially in comparison to P5 since you've only got a week or less of leniency to max social stats and SL's on a NG playthrough.
@@PuertoRocPrime You're only given about 2-3 days of free time to fix mistakes if you're following the guide to a tea. The first few Tartarus visits are crucial to get enough of a upstart cost to pay for social stat farming and personas for social links for the rest of the run.
I’m glad I stumbled on this video. I managed to complete all social links/linked episodes and fuse Telos on my first playthrough. I didn’t think I could do it (without NG+ no less) but the advice you gave about prioritizing your classmates first is soooo important. There are plenty of times in game when you can’t hang out with them so getting them done when you can is a must. After finishing my first playthrough, I can safely say that it is definitely possible to complete all links without NG+, but you need careful planning. Another piece of advice I would give is to max out your charm and courage as quickly as possible so you can start Fuuka and Yukari’s links as early as possible (especially Fuuka). Ranking up Charm and Courage is faster than Academics
Talk about a vid when I really need it lol. The most stressful part of Persona is maxing every Social link. I was hoping I could Platinum the game in one playthrough, but I'm in the last month and I have one social link I couldn't max. I'll have to do another playthrough. Kind of a shame, I was hoping I could route a playthrough that 100% everything. I bet I could actually make it happen tbh if I routed it out a bit better.
This is gonna be the first time I don’t use a max walkthrough for the game lol, I would usually use one because 80+ hours wont take me a couple weeks anymore, at this rate it will be months, but I want to reexperience the game the way it was intended those many years ago. I really f'd up my run. I was focused on Aragaki. I didn't know how long winter break was, and so that stretch from Christmas-Jan8th completely screwed me over. I'm gonna miss maxing out Bebe & Hiraga, which sucks cuz I really wanted to Max out all the SL's before NG+ 😭I should've saved the old couple's, because they were available for most of that stretch, but not the students. Oh well, get O!Telos will have to wait for my next playthrough. Least I've got max social stats this time, but its just tedious since you've gotta wait till January to get Telos cuz of the Aeon SL
There are some Slinks you should prioritize while on school break. Like Moon/hermit, hiero, Star ect. There are also others you can do while testing is going on. I got Mitsuru ranked 1-7 in a testing week haha. Most of the school Slinks are tough because they are locked behind school.
Another thing to note you do not need to rush every single Sunday and holiday to complete maya. I’m at may 31st and I’ve gotten to rank 7 without using the current Sunday to push her to 8. Kamiki also does not come in until August 9th so this leaves a lot of Sundays available for use. Sometimes on Sundays your links will call to hang out and these hangouts can be used to get them ready when they are not ready. For example on the 31st of may Yuko will call to hang out and once you get her to rank 4 she won’t be ready to rank up even if you brought a compatible persona to her rank 3 and answered her favorable dialogue both of which gave you 1 note. This date is the perfect date to get Yuko moving forward again since she gets stopped so early.

I'm using a guide but its still pretty though since you have to clear tartarus in 1 night and early game its hard without the SP recovery items. I imagine its still viable on the first run since it's not as strict as the original game.
They made maxing out a lot easier in reload. In FES, I think you have around a 5 day error margin across the entire game. In reload I was super careless. Wrong answers everywhere, only realizing very late that you can boost social links at night on the computer(great way to spend your nights after maxing Mutatsu and Tanaka), did my non-school social links during school(always prioritize your school links), did non-social link activities sometimes during afterschool/daytime(a waste). Despite this, I still finished the game only 7 total levels short of maxing everyone. I would guess that you can probably max everything (except Aigis) by late December/early January. I was thinking of doing a new run where I see how fast I can max all the non-Aigis social links.

I almost had it, until the very last month until the end of the world. I was stuck in that 30 day time loop, where no matter what, I wouldn’t be able to max *ONE* of my links. Not focusing on the Moon, while I have school links to do next time.
I guess I won't get them all in my first playthrough. Everyone says "focus on the school links" but even with all questions right and having a matching persona, the the school links keep hitting instances where they don't have enough approval to reach the next milestone. I can't use the shrine because that's no different than hanging out with them. I'm in July and outside of a few days at the start of the game, I've never had a truly "free" day where I could waste time at the shrine. And hang out with people on Sunday? Why would I do that? Every guide says Maya needs to be focused on and she's only available on Sunday. I'll see where I end up. If I don't get all of the links I'll be disappointed. This isn't the type of game I'm going to want to play twice.

Not unless you don't have a better choice, which I why I said to use the fortunes/dating profiles on days where you have nothing else to do or won't rank up with anyone else. That day can be spent hanging out with someone who will rank up.
I made the fatal mistake of neglecting the school social links. I'm just gonna have to accept that I won't be getting that platinum trophy any time soon. New game + and the fast forward feature should make light work of a second playthrough though, if I decide to do it
Social episodes really messed me up. I just planed SL as in FES, but then I learned that episodes unlock personas, and suddenly I was 4 days short. I wonder how many of them could be delayed to Sunday or summer break or exam week.

this was my first persona game and for the spring semester i would barely do any social links i would only do character episodes and grind my social levels, it wasnt until the last of the 12 shadow bosses that i started to grind out social links. Im currently weeks before fighting nyx and I have started no social links with the main cast
I am definitely gonna give the PowerPyx guide a try. I am on my 2nd run currently and i came to realize that i messed up big time. I'll be using that guide in NGP and hopefully it works, cuz i want Telos sooo bad. So i just follow the PowerPyx guide to the letter and i should get everything?
Since you’re playing NG+, increasing your Personas’ stats is a good substitute for increasing social stats (unless you're playing under “Merciless” difficulty which resets all social stats).
I was following a guide that told me what to do each day. There was a few minor mistakes in the guide. One said to do something on an evening that wasnt possible because the game skipped that evening. Somehow I ended up behind in Fuuka's social link. Not sure if i made a minor mistake or if it was the guide.

If you dont have enough points in their link they wont rank up. You only want to hang out if the text says “i think we will get closer soon” that means it will rank up. If it says “we wont get closer even if i spend time with them” that means it wont rank up and you need to get more points by either hanging out on sunday or using the naganaki shrine to boost their points until it says you will rank up.

If you’re worried about bebe start spending time with the old couple until he shows up. You’ll want to spend time with people at school during the spring because they won’t be available for summer vacation.
How exactly is spending time with someone who won't rank up a waste of time if using the computer and drawing a fortune both also take time? Does it give you less points?
The point is to use it when they’re not available and there’s no one else you gotta hang out with. The dating profile is amazing for that because you can max night SLs super fast

You should be fine, a new game plus I was the same thing and I got everything. Just prioritize this people in school.Try to get all the people done outside of school by the 8th month.So then when you go back to school you can just finish all the people in the school and you should be fine
Some of the persona are locked: Elizabeth quests max link episodes example: walking with Kuromaru etc. some persona requires at least 2 max social links to do a fusion of the best persona of each arcana There are also 2 hidden ones: Orpheus Telos and Messiah that are story locked 🔒

Dont spend time with ryoji at all he is useless because of him I lost maxing all arcana by 1 day only aegis was left and she was at rank 9 and for some reason on the last few days the game decides you can’t meet her in school

Aegis can’t be spent time with because the days were not enough and this is coming from someone who didn’t waste a single day and always spent with people choosing the persona of their arcana. Like I said ryoji is the problem don’t spend time with him he eats up days which are crucial cause you need only aegis and 2 more arcana in the last 30 days.

Best way to get money (and exp) is by talking to fortune teller for increased gold hand appearance then keep skipping floor till you see one. Once you reach the end teleport to lower floors and repeat

For the Devil and Sun arcana you dont need personas any answer is automatic rank up.Those 2 are the easiest to fully rank up.

Social episodes really messed me up. I just planed SL as in FES, but then I learned that episodes unlock personas, and suddenly I was 4 days short. I wonder how many of them could be delayed to Sunday or summer break or exam week.

@@alexmaganda5827 I did get everyone eventually, the trick is: you need to ignore story events and holidays activities, like not going on New year's date, and doing SL instead.

this was my first persona game and for the spring semester i would barely do any social links i would only do character episodes and grind my social levels, it wasnt until the last of the 12 shadow bosses that i started to grind out social links. Im currently weeks before fighting nyx and I have started no social links with the main cast

I am definitely gonna give the PowerPyx guide a try. I am on my 2nd run currently and i came to realize that i messed up big time. I'll be using that guide in NGP and hopefully it works, cuz i want Telos sooo bad.

Since you’re playing NG+, increasing your Personas’ stats is a good substitute for increasing social stats (unless you're playing under “Merciless” difficulty which resets all social stats).

I was following a guide that told me what to do each day. There was a few minor mistakes in the guide. One said to do something on an evening that wasnt possible because the game skipped that evening. Somehow I ended up behind in Fuuka's social link. Not sure if i made a minor mistake or if it was the guide.
A lot of online guides have been using info from the older games that doesn’t work in this one.

From day one you can go to the naganaki shrine and use the fortune draw at the right to increase social link points but it uses a day.

Which social links don’t help u rank up ?
If you dont have enough points in their link they wont rank up. You only want to hang out if the text says “i think we will get closer soon” that means it will rank up.
If it says “we wont get closer even if i spend time with them” that means it wont rank up and you need to get more points by either hanging out on sunday or using the naganaki shrine to boost their points until it says you will rank up.

If you’re worried about bebe start spending time with the old couple until he shows up. You’ll want to spend time with people at school during the spring because they won’t be available for summer vacation.
I think Bebe SL can start anytime as long as you meet him in old couple SL during 1st semester . I started his SL in November after summer break

The point is to use it when they’re not available and there’s no one else you gotta hang out with. The dating profile is amazing for that because you can max night SLs super fast

You have to do all social links in one playthrough. If they’re not all maxed in one playthrough, the trophy will not pop.

You should be fine, a new game plus I was the same thing and I got everything. Just prioritize this people in school.Try to get all the people done outside of school by the 8th month.So then when you go back to school you can just finish all the people in the school and you should be fine

I made it max all social link by first run and not ng+, it's rng for me but I still not unlock all secret persona
Oh and please always rescue people in Tartarus, two of them is your social link (maiko and kabuchi)
Some of the persona are locked:
Elizabeth quests
max link episodes example: walking with Kuromaru etc.
some persona requires at least 2 max social links to do a fusion of the best persona of each arcana
There are also 2 hidden ones: Orpheus Telos and Messiah that are story locked 🔒

Low key probably gonna just drop the game I enjoyed it but dam did I mess up a lot it’s not like p5 and that really messed me up especially since the game doesn’t tell you that after October getting social links done has become a skill problem

The only problem is ryoji don’t ever spend time with him, he is useless, rather spend it maxing arcana.
Aegis can’t be spent time with because the days were not enough and this is coming from someone who didn’t waste a single day and always spent with people choosing the persona of their arcana.
Like I said ryoji is the problem don’t spend time with him he eats up days which are crucial cause you need only aegis and 2 more arcana in the last 30 days.

I farmed gold hands, I got a guide for it.
Best way to get money (and exp) is by talking to fortune teller for increased gold hand appearance then keep skipping floor till you see one. Once you reach the end teleport to lower floors and repeat
