i don't see the problem with a dot trait.
Teemo, cassio, singend, malz, *Old-Swain. 2/4 that buff each other.
its not that different as sorcerers who buff each others and the team a little.
*thats an interesting idea too, use Old league championship that got totally reworked, in a "time travel set", or just in general,, since mort said once, that some league champs are bad for having "boring" abilities, that makes them unusable for 5 costs and stuff. some of the older versions may have something special about them,.

don't be hating on socialite, i won a lobby with socialite Atrox carry, turns out the extra damage and omnivamp makes him a decent unit.
2 things - first, I think a DoT trait is not really conducive to fights being interesting or fun to watch. If DoT in any particular set or match is too strong, it feels impossible to play against. Blighting Jewel Teemo comes to mind (yes, that's an edge case, but it's also a problem when an item in TFT is literally only ever a good on one character). On the other hand, when DoT is too weak, you have unitemized Teemo, who feels like he does nothing but activate trickshot and fortune, even if he's dropping 3k in a lategame fight.
The other thing, I'd like to see shojin replaced or reworked. as it stands in the game right now, there is not a single shojin user that would not rather have blue buff or adaptive helm. Shojin has an identity as *the* mana generation item, but it doesn't do that as well as a tier 2 offensive item made with a defensive component. In other words, a "backup plan" item just like guardbreaker, steadfast heart, and warmongs, is better at what it's doing than an item made with two components that want to be deathblade, IE, blue buff, redemption, gunblade, etc.
I have faith that this gets fixed, one of the earliest complaints I ever had about TFT was that RFC warped the game so much, turned carries like Set 3 master Yi and Set 10 Nilah from melee carries with defensive tools built in, to one man armies. For people who still wanna play that way, I'm glad that Ethereal Blades exists, but you can't choose to play it every single game. TFT isn't an easy game to balance, not gonna pretend I know more than mort, just airing out a gripe I've had for a while.
DOT champs IMO are sometimes too strong, especially Ghostly Morg
In my experience Morg is rarely all that strong unless you get close to BiS items on her as well as vertical ghostly, that's a lot to go right for a unit to be strong.
