  • Varna Bulgaria has many places all over the city where you can get street food to go, thats why I'm making this 2 videos to show you what street food is available when you visit Varna.
    The first video is a look into one of the street food Festivals Varna has throughout the year. Though the food on this festival is not typical Bulgarian food, it is done with a Bulgarian chef style.
    As the food festivals are not constantly there if you visit Varna it may or not be there, there are around 4 street food festivals in Varna throughout the year so I suggest if you are there to go on the Visit Varna website and check if there is one on at the time you are there.
    If you are unlucky and there is not one on then you'll just have to look at Part two of these videos (coming soon) which will show you the street food that is always available in Varna....which is definitely more like typical Bulgarian Food style.
    Buying me a coffee is a great way to help support the channel and the content….all money donate through this way will be reinvested back into the channel to help with trips around Bulgaria, new equipment to make better content and general running of the channel. You can donate as much as you wish and there is no sign up require just hit the like below for more details

      Having Bulgarian TV (even when we lived in Spain for 3 years we had it)helps a lot. Being in the middle of Bulgarian conversations. The biggest help has been this summer, working in a kitchen were nobody spoke English, I was forced in to talking which helped brake a barrier. I have come to realise that the only way to learn a language is to but yourself in a situation were you have no choice but to speak and find a way to understand. I’m still far away from knowing the language but I’m definitely on my way after this summer and have a lot more confidence I will get there

I taught English twice a week as well. Lived there two years. Celebrating my 40th birthday and will be throughout the country. Planning it all out. The language it amazing! I am happy to be fluent in it now.

    I really enjoyed this video.
    How long did it take you to learn that level of Bulgarian?
    My wife is Bulgarian and I haven't learnt any as we are in Portsmouth. The alphabet is daunting enough for me but she wants to retire in Bulgaria. She's from Dulbrich not far from you.

    • @ATasteofBulgaria
      @ATasteofBulgaria  2 роки тому +1

      Well to give you some context, I have be with my wife for 10 years, The first 3 I didn't try to learn anything, we were on the ships. Then she became pregnant, I said to myself that they are not going to have a language were they can talk to me and I don't understand. I Push 2 weeks to learn the Alphabet (this is very important when learning Bulgarian). I took a couple of apps on the phone like Duo Lingo and another and practiced for a few months when I could whilst I was still on the ship. The next year we went to live in Spain so the Bulgarian stop as I started with Spanish, found a great tool called Anki flashcards that you make your on flashcards, with pictures and sounds. Though During this time in Spain we had Bulgarian TV, Petya and Zhana spoke together in Bulgaria and Petya would often say things to me in Bulgarian first, If I didn't understand she would repeat in English (It was not 100% of the time though). After we moved to Bulgaria and I know that I had to start learning again though I didn't push it too much as I went to work back on the ships. Every time I was home and we were with friends I would be Surrounded with Bulgarian Language (constantly listening for words and connecting words). Then Developed a bit of a system....I made a video about it if your interested to learn Bulgarian

      @@Mark.Claughton I've been married to my Bulgarian wife for 23 years, and while I learned a little bit during our courtship, and have visited Bulgaria many times, I've not learned the language. I'd like to retire there, so I've started making a concerted effort to learn the language. I think you could make progress over a long period of time if you spend 30-60 minutes a day. And if you are indeed a truck driver, you might be able to listen to language tapes while driving. This channel is a great place to start. www.youtube.com/@Thelinguist, this fellow is 75 years old and speaks 20 languages. He also founded a website that I have found very useful (though it has a monthly cost to be really effective) called lingq. The alphabet can be confusing, but if you practice on it every day for a week, I'm sure you could get it. There are tons of videos now about learning Bulgarian.
