My 5 year old great granddaughter had her tonsils and adenoids out 2 weeks ago. As soon as she woke up she wanted fried chicken. She got barbequed chicken for dinner. She talked non-stop all the way home from the hospital.
She was brave

Scarlet was a real trooper, and what a cool hospital. Oh, and I can't forget little layla she is getting so big.

She did awesome! My son had his removed a few years ago when he was 8, and was trying to wheel away in the wheelchair by the time we were ready to go home haha
If you haven’t experienced it yet, good luck with the bad breath phase of healing. They did NOT warn us about that and my goodness it was awful lol

It's awesome that they let you film! It's really interesting to see the process. They did such an amazing job making it as good an experience as a surgery can be for a kid!

I had my tonsils out at 10 years old, and I can remember how much that hurt. You are a very brave girl, Scarlett. I hope you feel better soon. Have a popsicle for me, girlfriend!😊
I had mine out at 14/15 and yeah it hurt so bad
Yeah it hurt I had a tonsillectomy I was like 7 years old I think now I’m 19 years old will turn 20 in November

Ok…..so if they don’t do the IV on little kids until after they’re asleep, WHY can’t they do that for adults who are afraid of needles???
Me I am afraid of needles
you can ask for emla/lidocaine patch for the IV/ injection (Netherlands). An adult needs much more N20 (gas) than a child (given body weight) and may have more side effects. You don't have to be ashamed to ask for the lidocaine patch. Everyone works better when the patient is relaxed.
Do you want to be friends with me on tex I'm a girl I'm 38 old I'm in a wheel chair my body hurts me every day so if I ask you too play with your body on tex I like when you have no clothes on your body on tex

They are really great at explaining things. My niece had open heart surgery at 14 days old. She is now 27. They were really great at explaining everything and gave them charts for every step, and comforting my sister and brother-in-law. Layla's little dimples are adorable. I remember having my tonsils out when I was 6 and my sister had hers out at the same time she was 8. Lots of popsicles. Feel better soon Scarlet

Aww she did a great job. So proud of her. My daughter was 11 when she had her tonsils and andoids out. She didn't handle it well. Way to go Scarlett ❤❤❤❤❤❤

when i was little my mom was always able to go into the operating room she did amazing
They need to add what adults want to drink after surgery. Sometimes I am so out of it I don't know what way is up. 😂
My son, who was less than a year old then, did better with his surgery than I did!

My son had his adenoids tonsils and tubes put in his ears at the same age and afterwards he was fantastic. I hope Scarlet has the same reaction afterwards.

I had eye surgery done in late October that had to do with my lazy eye. I can't say that it was the worst surgery I have ever had but when I had pre cancer on my ovary, then my breast reduction then my eye. My cyst i had was the size of a grapefruit!!
Same here I had eye surgery on march 10 to fix my lazy eye and they were red for a few days but here I am now all better no more lazy eye
Aww the anaesthetic makes her nose itchy, it does that to me too.

What did Scarlett have surgery on? What was wrong with her? I hope that she feels better.
Her adenoids were enlarged making it hard for her to breathe and was causing speech enunciation issues.

Some one's sleep.
I could have sworn Scarlet already got her adenoids removed. They burned them off (or something).
Recently it's a tool that generates an intense heat which cuts and cauterise so that helps which helps the bleeding.
Layla had a lip and tongue tie release in a previous video. Scarlet has never had surgery or any type of invasive procedure, other than some cavities filled.
