Im getting one, was wondering if you have used this on a pistol, and if it was useful as a muzzle break or compensator ? silencerco.com/asr-single-port-muzzle-brake.html
Good Day, My inquiry is about the omega. Based on what I can gather from your website and the manual, is the omega interchangeable between 5.56, 223 and 308? Meaning, I have an AR and 308, so I can switch between platforms as long as the proper mounts are fitted to each weapon. So if the omega comes with the ASR mount (AC824) with 7.62 5/8-24 and the ASR Brake (AC142) 7.62 5/8-24 which would go on my 308 Ruger Precision Rifle then all I would need for my AR is the ASR Muzzle Brake (AC142) 5.56 1/2x28 which would allow me to just unlock and unscrew the (AC824) disconnecting from the 308 and screw and lock it on to the AR (AC142) using the same can. Thank you for your time and understanding while trying to make out my gibberish, your explanation and information will be helpful in assisting me to make my purchase. Thank you
Does the ASR adapter mount work with the Omega 9K? It looks like there's 9mm ASR flash hiders available. But not sure if the 9k is set of use the ASR mounting system?
Hitman0341 I totally agree ! I have 6 trifecta flash hiders and trifecta mount. Waiting to see how they will go about fixing this ? Will they help me out or screw me over ?
Caleb, it does not hurt to ask! My trifecta MADD mount failed, siezing the mount/can to the muzzle device -- my smith could not remove it w/o taking the muzzle device with it. He did so and shipped the whole kit back to SilencerCo. NFA items usually produce unusual lag times in sales/service/etc. In this case, not so. SilcencerCo turned the job around in less than 7 days and supplied warranty replacement with the ASR mount and new muzzle device through my dealer DONE in less than 2 weeks. The ASR system is far superior to the MADD mount system - ask and I'm sure they'll take care of you.
I know this video is old but I don't know if anyone else happen to notice that the end cap for the saker 556 looks like they might have had a little alignment issue and the end cap has obviously had a round hit the side of it😢
So is the asr mount that is used on the saker the same asr mount that you use with the hybrid, and omega? In other words if I buy one asr mount for the saker, can I use it for the other cans as well?
+Chris Boerstra The muzzle devices are the same, but the mount that goes into the can is different. The Hybrid, Omega, and Harvester Big Bore share the same ASR mount, but the Saker uses a different one.
The threads from the flash hider to the ASR mount in the Omega aren't 5/8x24, there's a thread pitch that I haven't seen on anything else before. At this time, there's no sort of thread protector for the muzzle devices themselves.
Personal preference really, it gets into the AR vs AK or 9 vs 45 line of debate. The trifecta is a faster on/off method and can be used to mount the suppressor under a rail... but the ASR has more compatibility with other SilencerCo cans. ASR is also less tolerance dependent than the trifecta.
Kevin Lynch I had issues with my SAKER and swapped it out for the ASR. if the can was extremely hot, the trifecta mount would not disengage, which meant i had to wait for it to cool down before I could get it off the host. My saker can be pretty hot and its still extremely easy to take off, which means i can let it coll down on the side as i put gear away or swap it to another weapon faster. i have met a few people who had the same issue as I
Mike VonDebag Yep. Mine does it all the time. I'm waiting to see how Silencerco will help me out. Beings I have 6 trifecta flash hiders and their trifecta is junk
+Lee Harrell We were using the 556 end cap on the Saker 762. We accidentally forgot to remove it & shot 300 blackout through it. We were lucky that is didn't do more damage & its a great educational tool that we use.
Any mechanical part will wear out, but I've never seen anyone able to do so without abusing it or doing something wildly incorrect. I suspect it would take thousands and thousands of mounting and removal to do so... but by that time, I imagine the gun would wear out far before.
Some of these videos might would be pretty good if they would speak up. It doesn't do a bit of good to explain what's your doing if you can't hear what you are saying. Speak up please!!!!🙄🤔😟☹
thanks great video, got the Hybrid this week and am now learning the accessories.
Awesome demonstration man, really appreciate you all showing us how the ASR system works! #fightthenoise
Our pleasure
The best video yet showing how all of Silencerco's mounts work thank you I've been looking for days to fully understand these and you guys nailed it
Fantastic demonstration! Kudos!
Great video man. Very informative and to rhe point. Thanks man. 👍
Thanks for the video Jorge. Very nice. Funny because I just spoke with you yesterday as I was ordering my Omega.
Anytime brother!
Looks like that second suppressor walked loose on you and you didn't notice the way the exit is blown out 😂. Good video though
love my hybrid. the true swiss army knife of silencers.

They have the ASR for the Octane now.
Very nice!

You're correct. All you need is the correct thread pitch on the muzzle devices, and you can move it between rifles without changing out extra parts.
What about the 9k?
Awesome video! Omega or hybrid tough choices
That's why I got both
It's looks like the ASR mount has a slightly different black (darker black and more shiny) than on the original Saker and Trifecta mount.
can you please make a video or give more info on that adapter for your AK to mount the suppressor, please!
Does the ASR adapter mount work with the Omega 9K? It looks like there's 9mm ASR flash hiders available. But not sure if the 9k is set of use the ASR mounting system?
the saker trifecta mount was horrible. thankfully they let me swap out to the asr mount for free.

What model is the first can you demonstrated?

What’s the white holding thingy around the suppressors lol
It's called a Curved Non-Metallic Penial Supporting Device
Anyone know if this will work with the Banish 30?
+Capitol Armory what is that adapter on your Krinkov? looks like an M24 to 1/2-28 converter? never seen one with teeth that engage the detent before
Currently waiting on my omega 36m.
Is silencerco the only manufacturer that makes and uses ASR mounts and muzzle devices?
Lantac but the can uses the Charlie mount so you can use deadair, Q plan b and rearden mfg are just some as example.
Is the ASR better than the Trifecta?
How much length does this mount add to the suppressor?
Its compatibile with this blackhawk.com/products/sound-suppressors/accessories/centerfire-rifle/muzzle-brake/barrage-muzzle-brake or no???

Hi, are the threads from the flash hider to omega 5/8x24?
And is there something included to cover the threads on flash hider when not using a can?

So basically go with the SAKER if you wanna use the 51t breaks from AAC but an SCo can.
Have you had any trouble with the ASR Mount when properly used?
Negative--- the only trouble I've seen with them as been user-error related.
Is it a fine thread? what kind?
Turn up the AUDIO👆
Looks like the Saker K 556 was kissed by a .30 cal.

ASR sucks. I've gotten carbon lock every time I've shot my Omega 300 at the range . Gonna switch to the Dead Air Keymo
