This band is phenomenal. Truly top top top shelf music for 21 years and counting. You can literally click on any random Shinedown song and it's going to be a really good song. Not only are the legends, the band Spiritbox would not even exist, because Shinedown got wind that Spiritbox was having bad financial problems, and Shinedown gave them like 40 thousand dollars to help them. It doesn't get much better than Shinedown.
If you know the band Shinedown, they are all about ones own mental health and the process of dealing with one's own Monsters. Unfortunately, not all are able to defeat their monsters.
I always thought the lady at the funeral is the younger girl grown up. She walks away with the dad at the end. Never escaping him. She looks back at her older self like please say something or try to stop this and save us.
I always thought she was the little girl grown up and attending the funeral of her monster. That's why I thought the little girl looks back at the end. But i never thought about she might have killed her monster. Quite perceptive there professor Wolf.
My understanding is the little girl is the younger sister of the widow who was also abused which lead to her monsters and her cheating on her husband while he was deployed where he ended up dying.

The lead singer's monters are his additions. He was addicted to coke and heroine in the form of Oxytocin & also alcoholic.
