    I started my channel for myself, to see if I can do it, and also mostly, to have fun with what I love the most. And shortly after I started getting subscribers, some views, and well .... now I really want to grow and succeed, because this is something I enjoy doing with my free time. Thank you for these tips, I am gonna try them on my channel. Let the numbers and fun grow.

    I do memes and Gaming and started doing like realistic path
    currently looking for an editor but since I was doing just shots and lifestream I want to make one or couple of videos to have examples of what I will be looking for when it comes to editors, I'm starting to make some money but I still didn't hit the threshhold to withdraw money, I will have to put money from donates at 1st before I could be paying editors

    You're 100 percent going to be bigger than filmbooth, I honestly almost didn't want to comment because I don't want other people to find you hahahaha. I'm getting these comments in early so when you do release a course, a paid course, that I would ALREADY pay for from the videos you've made, but it's still cheap as you've just started, I get first dibs. Seriously man, truly epic content. None of that begineer nonsense this is intermeditate to even expert level and this is what I need. Long gone are the days where I was looking for information on SEO or search terms or CTR, I need that next level stuff and you're providing it in the best way I've seen so far. Well done lad, keep it up, I'll be here, everytime. I'm off to do your free course, which is just insane to me that it's free but don't change it yet hahaha. Just one point though that really holds me back, my videos take me a very long time to edit, due to this reason, I get analysis paralysis on which video idea to go with next because if it flops, it sucks, I can't lie, but... I'm also not at the point of being able to afford an editor. It's not ideal currently but I'll get there haha. Peace. 😎

    When it comes to UA-cam-thumbnails I think we are right between the ending of an old trend of super-polished highly edited thumbnails and the beginning of a counter-trend of natural unedited thumbnails (and videos)! People are getting more and more sick and tired of those overly edited video- and thumbnail-styles and are craving more raw authentic footage and thumbnails.
    The UA-camr "The Wizard Liz" is a perfect example for this! She grew to 5 million subcribers within a year by just creating raw unedited videos with subtitles. That's it! As thumbnails she just uses some screenshots from her videos! People argue that her being pretty is what caused her success but I disagree. 1) There's MILLIONS of pretty girls out there, lots of them even prettier but they haven't NEARLY the success that she has! 2) The topics that she talks about aren't of any interest to men but to young girls. With MILLIONS of videos from other pretty women available here on UA-cam and other platforms like OF, etc, I highly doubt the group who would click on her thumbnails because "thirst trap" and regulary sit through the her whole videos.
    There's this other UA-camr (I forgot his name, sam something?) who is a bodybuilder and films himself working out and just uploads raw unedited footage and thumbnails which seems to work because (I guess) people find him more relatable?

  • @sen_sf
    @sen_sf 4 місяці тому

    I started doing videos with all of this in mind to be honest, but I was quite flustered when I learned how the impressions worked, as it shows the thumbnail randomly to people whether or not they actually are into it. My channel is about story-telling on the Project Zomboid niche, but because it's gaming and it's oversaturated, most people assume it's just another playthrough.
    I initially wanted to just do videos about hyped video games when they came out, just to realise the overwhelming supply on these videos.
    And as I was playing this game when I started the channel 2 months ago I thought it was a good idea to go into the storytelling, roleplaying niche.
    At this point I just want to be seen. As this project was simply a work of passion. And my worry is that only the current subscribers I have will be able to enjoy it.
    Will your course be able to cover my current concerns? As you said, money is money, and if I could monetize the channel and do this full-time I would like it as I actually enjoy editing.
    Or perhaps I'm overthinking this and just need to be patient and wait? While keeping my production value up, as I'm producing something that I would watch, doing similar things that got me into the game in the first place, as I started playing due to a couple of storytelling videos on Project Zomboid that blew me out of the water.
    Sorry about the ramble :D
    Great content!

    Good video. Like your advice. And your British accent is crystal clear to us Americans. However.... this advice is pretty useless for those of us on UA-cam who are not interested in monetization. Many of us are here for politics and to promote political viewpoints. In my case, libertarianism. Have zero interest in making $$ on UA-cam. I have a day job. Now... if you really want to help folks like me, make a video on how people with day jobs can find the time to make UA-cam videos.

  • @facelessanon
    @facelessanon 4 місяці тому

    I really have to emphasize the value of... value. The Hidden Metric.
    I am the owner of a UA-cam channel that grew to a reasonable size, pretty big for its youthful age, and that's because my channel was dedicated to creating value to my niche. My first video, which didn't provide a sought value, obviously didn't get many views, and same with the second. Few videos later, I realized that the main point of my channel shouldn't to be about controversial undiscussed topics, but instead to provide value, so I started creating more videos that provide high value among competitors, and I easily earned thousands of views in weeks for those videos, and my most successful one, which had the highest value, has more than 40K views, which is incredibly high for my channel's age and size.
