I just don't like the furnace in the attic. Nice installation however, and apparent that a lot of care went into the design and installation of the unit. With such a nice system, I think that having a conditioned attic space would be a huge improvement to keep the ductwork at the same temperature as the rest of the house. .

The perfect install? That’s laughable with the miles of flex duct and “so called” mixing boxes for a duct system. Why not run a metal trunk duct whether round or square and take all the runs off much shorter and straighter? It can still be zoned properly without having flex duct feeding distribution boxes that are feeding other flex ducts. It looks like an octopus with all that spaghetti mess of flex snaking and turning everywhere. I’m not sure why that became the standard these days and metal trunk lines went away but that’s certainly not how we install and it’s certainly not perfect.
