I see it as a tribute to his rich heritage and the struggles of his ancestors shaping him into the person that he is now. The lyrics are well-written with a beautiful message of pride and hope.

I think this song is amazing! The lyrics are beautiful, the rhythm is fun, and from the music video you can tell it’s going to be beautifully staged. It’s very very rare we every get a song/artist at Eurovision that celebrates black culture and excellence and it’s so refreshing to see 💛

No its not all country or ballad with the country rock of Waylon i felt a whole other genre that i never have seen on ESC, Sieneke was a typical Dutch sound which flopped, and the harmonic harmony of og3ne was also a treat. so i alway find something new and original in the dutch songs.

It is a creole language from streets/outside life, nothing wrong with that, but just is not suitable as official language in Suriname because it is a creole language and not so sophisticated, and thats why it never has became that.
