I have caught ( two days ago on a full moon) Orca sized, 5 lb, largemouth bass with a senko worm wacky rig in my highly pressured lake. Man, THE BEST and simple way to get bass
Tyler you know how you measure success. When other channels give you props. I was watching a top water video and The gentleman said the Ark popper was suggested by you. Hands down I believe you have a awesome channel. You teach not preach.
Your videos are so informative and well thought out! You have inspired me and my fishing buddy to try fishing new lures and techniques, and all of them have in return caught us lots of big fish!!!
Always find your vids informative when im struggling to find fish and their patterns in certian time of the year. Thanks for the great fishing tips content, always helps me out down here in TX! God bless!!
Got back into fishing recently...when I first started, I got so damn frustrated simply bc I realized I didn't know jack squat!!!!! I live in TN and have learned a ton from you!!! What lures to use, when to use them, why to use them and how to use them!!!!!! Thanks boss....
The EZ swimmer style you showed us what we use on a local headpond here in New Brunswick that has blueback herring as the main forage. Get on 20-25 foot points and pull that bait about 10 feet down and hold on!
Tyler I would love it if you came up to Washington state and did a video on PNW bass fishing. There’s some secret gems up here and I’d be curious to get your take on our lakes.
thanks Tyler! I actually bought one of the JT Evergreen dates a few months back. I have not used it yet, but looking forward to on calmer days on Lanier when everyone else is throwing non-silent, topwater baits. 👍
Ironically, I went out this morning throwing your Number #1 bait. It was the Reaction Innovation(walking bait) in the Bone color that I had added a feathered tail treble hook to last year. It paid off, caught a 20 inches 3lb 14 oz largemouth. It works, it worked last year too.
I've been taking the skirts off a swim jig and using that as a swimbait jig head for years. Here in the deep south with our super shallow lakes that are choked with vegetation, it's a great way to fish a swimbait in and around thick hydrilla mats. My favorites to use are a 6th Sense Divine or a Strike King Hack Attack swim jig.
Just went fishing this morning in southeast michigan, I think the bass are done spawning here. Fished a flat weeded area and caught a few until they completely shut down there and we moved into shallower more covered water.
Awesome videos!! Happy Bass Fishing from Pennsylvania - Its July now and the month of 3 seasons up here believe it or not - The mornings can still be 50 to 65 degrees, by 10 or 11AM it could be 95 and degrees, and back to a beautiful mid 70s in the late evenings. My top 3 lures this time of year seem to be the Horny Toad (by YUM), the YUM DINGER or Senko (by Gary Yamamoto) - And the Flappin Hog also by Yamamoto Lures/baits. I choose the Horny Toad because of the versatility of this bait. Its loud on top for one, which is great!! It can stay afloat with slower retrieves as well as faster (obviously). You can add a little pause and jerk action to it while still being top water effective (buzz baits I also love, but July is weed water month up here....lol). Currently, im still fishing the primary shallows during the mornings and near dark of night into the dark of night. Mid days tough up here as I bank fish and its tough to reach those suspended fish sometimes. I think the flappin hog being a creature bait as well as the senko kinda speak for theirselves....texas rig them both or weightless depending on the pattern....those two baits alone are extremely versatile and true bass locators. Tight lines and hog heaven to y'all!!
A couple of these lures are what I call “Boat Only” lures. Deep diving and big worm baits have not done to well fishing from the bank. But as soon as I get in a boat….they produce.
Hey Ty, thanks for some fresh content. Much better than the same old same old. Probably a couple weeks out from summer patterns in Pgh. Pretty sure I'm not using a big enough spook but gotta start somewhere.
I caught my PB today on Fort Riley in Kansas. 3.52 lb 19” largemouth on a top water white rubber frog just walkin it over mats and this absolute slab just inhaled it’s he jumped like 5’ in the air! Was also the first cast with that lure.
Along with the spook, A Zel Roland Pop-R with a feather tail is a must. It wii catch thoses fish who will not hit the spook sometimes. It;s a killer top water for Smallmouth.
I live in Florida and we are true blue Summer. But that deep diver helped win me a tourney last week with a giant 23.5" 8lb 5 oz monster. It was 100% directly off the current too.
Have u ever considered fishing conneaut lake in pa. I have fished there for about 5 years now and there a lot of big bass in there. Small mouth and large mouth. It would be great to see what u would have to say about it. Hope to hear for u soon. Thanks
The sexy dawg has been catching me fish since April. Here in Arkansas. I've caught them on a berkley fusion underspin with a strike king rage swimmer. Today they destroyed my zoom trick worm. Greenpumpkin and green fleck. I had a good day.. didn't catch big ones but I did slay alot of couple pounders. I caught them at the back of docks and isolated logs and overhang. I still haven't caught a bass on a deep diving crank bait. I'm trying though
Great video Tyler! The river I fish in has a lot of downed trees and sticks and other things to get hung up on. I like the guarded jig head. Who makes it and what is it called?
I think we have to visualize what vibration feels like. A noisy bait is going to have a fuzzy profile, but reach out further. A silent bait is going to have less sound waves going off it, so it's more likely they know exactly where it is. It's all about timing, if they are striking on the cadence, that last pop it should be right *there* when they strike, so they need clarity not noise otherwise they'll miss.
Dude, I love your channel. I have several faves and yours is one of them. Unfortunately, I don't have a boat, so what baits do you recommend I use when I go early mornings or late evenings to get these that may be cruising the shallows for food. I have ideas, just wondered what your take on it is. God bless.
I truly believe that Matt Stefan(BIG CONGRATS TO WINNING ON THE MISSISSIPPI AND ALL THAT COMES WITH IT) and Johnny Shultz have created the perfect swim bait jig with their T.U.S.H from Core tackle. No exposed jig head and weight attached to the shaft of the hook is a near perfect design IMO.
so i was looking to get new rods for father's day and remember you had some videos that promoted the buy 1 ark rod and get 2nd at a big discount.. is this still valid?
@BassFishingHQ - Can You Pleaseeeeeee recommend some spots to fish in NY - Im new and gaining interest in the sport. I dont own a boat . . . . . yet 😏. but if you can please recommend a rod setup and location for me to be able to get even a bite - that would be awesomee. Huge thanks in advance. New York as in westchester county.
As always, great advice. I recently learned of Sportsman's Outfitters and have placed two orders with them already. Got a couple of nice rods, baits, and fishing line at excellent prices with great service.
So what you're saying is feather or no feather, sound or silent, white or green, fast or slow, small or large there really no rhyme or reason for what fish will go after. They will bite anything they see!! Just go fishing.
Soft plastic swim baits have legit been my saving grace… just stared fishing, got a bunch of gear handed down to me. can’t catch even a nibble crank baits and jerk baits it sucks.. but soft plastic minnows with jig heads juts kill it for me Wish I could get more confidence in other lures
The goat when it comes to these tips a Trick videos 💪🏾
I like how say a lure is effective but also “a way to have a lot of fun” I speak for myself here but having fun is the best part.
LOONEY JUNEY
TRF AND BASSFISHINGHQ!!! 2 Great informative channels!!!
Yep
Love these guys

Meanwhile weather has been so cold and rainy in Colorado I haven’t even seen any spawning yet

I’ve been using a texas rig but with a swim bait and a bullet weight and it works like a charm. I fish areas with higher levels of water plants.
So…..a standard Texas Rig? Every Texas rig uses a bullet weight.
@@willdenoble1898 yea, but I know some people use weightless Texas rigs and consider those as true Texas rigs

I would agree with deep diving cranks, but big worms are fantastic from the bank

The shirts I bought from You at the Expo are absolutely 💯 👌 loved wearing them. Wonderful shirts man. Now time for the gloves
Geat video & awesome tips!! Thanks for sharing!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!
Thanks for the info on the baits.
I agree. Keeping it simple, I always catch more fish!! Love your videos, but still haven’t caught a fish on a deps scat bait yet though 😂😂
Tyler great selection of baits thanks for sharing 🎣 👍 Come to Kansas and show me how 🤔
Up in the northeast they just got off the beds.
Yep. Here in MA and I noticed the same this week.
List is spot on

Have you tried adding the feather on the middle hooks?
Where should you go in oregon for bass

Water still in the low 80s in south ga
Does color of your line matter for bass fishing. Whether it’s top water or diving
Memorial day the largemouth where still on their beds in mid michigan 2023.
what rod would you use for a 4 to 5 oz swim bait. affordable if possible please?
Daiwa DX x heavy swimbait rod or Dobyns Fury big swimbait rod
Just caught a 6.6lb Friday on the zoom mag worm
So I'm also from OH, how can i tell if it's spawn, post spawn or summer time fishing for bass? Any tips?
so i was looking to get new rods for father's day and remember you had some videos that promoted the buy 1 ark rod and get 2nd at a big discount.. is this still valid?
We’ve been catching indiana bigguns on beds this week on the stupid tube and wacky rig
just caught my personal best smallmouth on that transparent jerkbait 4" rapala.....didnt think a feather on the end of the bait on my treble
My two biggest fish this year came on the lure in the thumbnail (different brand same concept)
Your videos can not be beat!
How about a top 5 June baits just for smallmouth🤷🏼♂️? TIA!!

New York as in westchester county.
What's the weedless swimjig head?
As a fellow JT i have to say, we arent all great at catching fish... 😂
I'm interested in the jighead in the picture at the beginning of this podcast! Name please!
Great video ++
Sportsmen is owned by bass pro.
You forgot the drop shot I think it’s deadly all the time
As always, great advice. I recently learned of Sportsman's Outfitters and have placed two orders with them already. Got a couple of nice rods, baits, and fishing line at excellent prices with great service.
I beat them by using night crawler's, chicken livers and chicken breasts laced with garlic and red jello.
Teach a man to fish!!!
Hey people on Rayburn!! Keep throwing crank baits. Don’t listen to this man. The swim bait doesn’t work. Keep throwing those plugs and cranks please!
Let's goooo
👌👌👌👌👌🤝😎
So what you're saying is feather or no feather, sound or silent, white or green, fast or slow, small or large there really no rhyme or reason for what fish will go after. They will bite anything they see!! Just go fishing.
1st
2nd.. close tho 👊🏼
The lucky Craft Sammy 100 is way better than the Strike King sexy dawg. Gotta try it
Soft plastic swim baits have legit been my saving grace… just stared fishing, got a bunch of gear handed down to me. can’t catch even a nibble crank baits and jerk baits it sucks.. but soft plastic minnows with jig heads juts kill it for me
Wish I could get more confidence in other lures
To get confidence in other lures, simply try new things, and if they aren't hitting a swim jig switch to another lure.
