Brotha man just some healthy advice as a trucker since 93 when there was no gps, you always called shippers and recievers because for one you need directions to there facilities and to make pickup and delivery appointments and now most people can just gps the location but it will help you tremendously if you contact them yourselves because pardon my French but brokers usually dont know shit 💩 unless they’re former drivers! Your doing a great job and you stay pretty positive in frustrating situations so you definitely have the patience for those industry be safe and Godbless

Flash back city to the first hot load I ran had to be there before 8 pm, they took forever to load so we skipped stops for food to get in there before time. Got it there and no one was even at the place knew anything about it coming or was on site to unload it.
Had to wait in their parking lot for the second shift to come in and figure this out. So now out of hours trapped at this factory parking lot with no food, I learned that I wanted open communications with the receiving location right off the bat and calling ahead to let them know your coming is well worth it. Plus now while shut down I will check the routing the GPS is giving and that there is a place that matches at the end point, not putting me in a corn field stating you location is on the right, no that is a lake. You will understand my rant when doing corn heads and farm supplies. Oh how rude of me, Welcome to My home state of WI.
How the 25ft trailer work for you would you go for 30ft if you starting out in hotshot
I was about to ask the same thing. Seems like 32ft would be ideal for the long loads with out having the extra weight of a long 40ft trailer
25’ works but do 35’ or 40
Do you cover the windows when parked overnight at truck stops?
I just cover the two back windows .
