They do have appeal for sure. I almost never get asked what watch I'm wearing...but with my 1970s reissue emerald green Vulcain chronograph I was shocked how often people ask me what am I wearing.
I will never part with my Aviator Cricket GMT! My wife's initial shock and dirty stare at me every time the alarm goes off are priceless. Gotta admit I wouldn't mind adding a pistachio or salmon colored President to my collection however.
Caseback is so cool. Wish the dial had lume, seems an obvious addition for an alarm watch?! And I'd like to see numerals on the dial. It should come with both casebacks and let it be user's choice. You can get vintage examples for 1k, solid gold for 2k. Or a Strela signal for $400. 5k for this seems extremely steep.
It was cool to learn about this watch and its history. I fully appreciate what it is and what it represents. I like its look and the unique complication. I am a sucker for such things. ;-) That said, it is out of my price range. Mind you, I am not saying it is overpriced, just that I cannot justify nearly $5k for such a device. For all of you who have one or will be getting one, I wish you much enjoyment with a long-lasting watch.
I've used it before on some new Seiko videos recently but yes relatively new. Only if I have extra time I do an intro or if its a big seiko release like the spb455 vid
Noticed the finishing at 3:46 to be quite streaky. I'm not expecting zaratsu polishing or anything like that, but at this price point you would expect a little more effort, I reckon.
I bought a watch from MAMACOO lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
I have a Vulcain Cricket from the 60s and still working fine.
That's awesome!
Vulcain has been tempting me for a while now. Don’t know how long I can stand without one.

@@EscapementWatch They definitely have a unique charm. The one I’ve been eyeing is the President 36 mm pistachio green.
oh very nice color
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of AMZWATCH's watch 99% of people will never see.
They really hit this one out of the park. Can't fault it.

The silver dial in this review piece is absolutely gorgeous. Overall the watch exudes a very classy yet understated vibe.

New setup? Green screen background looks cool...nice way to switch it up

I’d prefer a vintage Seiko Bellmatic!
Nice, thanks for sharing!
No problem!
Beautiful
Can we hack a second hand? Refer to the video clip it looks can't be stopped while setting the watch.
When I tested the movement on the timegrapher I mentioned no hacking.
@@EscapementWatch Thanks.
I’ve been looking for an OG cricket. Some day I’ll find the right one

5 grand for this thing? Wow. Hard pass.
There is nothing really like this
It's still possible to find vintage alarmers for way less.

Too soon back in the market for that price I feel and I own expensive watches. Nice though.
