@@kitchen_witch7208 The new album is so freaking good. I saw them earlier this year at The Pageant in St. Louis, and they're still as good as they ever were. Kevin is like 10 years older than me and has more energy than do.
I first heard this live at their return of the legends of the fall tour. BTE is one of the only bands I’ve seen multiple times live and they always put on a hell of a show. Love this song so much.
My gal got me tix to your show at the El Rey in Los Angeles tonight for my birthday. Can't wait to see you again. This new song dropping today is like a second bday present!!! Hope you play it tonight 😎
I saw this on my UA-cam and am I the only one who thought this was an Ezra Miller diss track? I never heard of this band but I really was expecting a song about Grant Gustin being a better Flash then Erza Miller! (Grant Gustin is Berry Allen/The Flash just like RDJ is Tony Stark/Ironman, and others that have become their characters)
The live version of this song (see on May 5, 2023) actually sounds better than this version. Something about the live version sounds grounded, grungier, heavier thunder to the drums, a sense of real "pain" aligned to the lyrics, sounds like the days of 'Greatest Hits' or 'Closer' ...this Video here sounds a bit too poppy / synth in....but still it's overall a good jam. Can't wait for a new BTE album!!
I was really into the song until he started singing TOPEKA. Something about that came across as weirdly comedic in a bad way and took me out of the song.
The chorus sounds a little “processed” for my tastes. I like the verses and the build pretty good then it gets to the chorus and it’s got that generic sound that’s prevalent in mainstream “country” these days. Just miss the Friction Baby, Deluxe and Garden days where it felt like they made music from a true honest place instead of making music to fit whatever the trend of the time is.
Its definitely not Deluxe to Closer style for sure. It’s Before The Robots feel vs the older ones. Kevin writes country songs in Nashville too so that might be an influence. Reminds me a lot of American Dream and Hollow
I have said forever to anyone that will listen that they are the most underrated band of all time. Just hit after hit.
I can’t believe they just released a new album I’m stoked I found out late but I love them so much

😂😂😂
Thank you for never letting the music die.
How much have I been wanting a new drop from BtE?
Desperately.
I see what you did there.
Love that Better Than Ezra are still making music. Great stuff. These guys are GREAT live as well.
You all have been my absolute favorite band for at least 20 years, which is weird because I'm just 23 years old.
You’re not alone!! Been to 2 shows and I’m always the youngest one there lol. I hope they get TikTok famous so more people our age hear them
Hey my fellow 23 year old
The Polar Bear of Good Health at 3:31! Love it!
And in music news, number one on the college charts this summer was 'Better than Ezra'. And at number two: 'Ezra'
I LOVE THIS SONG !!!!!! Sorry for yelling. But I do. In my Dirty Mind.
Been my fave since 96! Keep it coming BTE!
I’ve been waiting for a new BTE song. 🎸🎶🔥
I’ve been desperately wanting a new BTE song
I first heard this live at their return of the legends of the fall tour. BTE is one of the only bands I’ve seen multiple times live and they always put on a hell of a show. Love this song so much.

I remember running through the wet grass but this is pretty damn good to. You’ve not fallen to many steps behind.
I love everything about this! So cool to hear the recording after hearing it live, and this video is so fun. Love my BTE boys 💜

Have all the CDs, have been following them since high school and "deluxe" this is so welcomed! Cheers from Costa Rica
I always knew they'd last longer than Ezra
Bangin' drums. Great song.
Ezra been real quiet since this dropped.
Bc the songs about a 50yr old dude abducting a 16yr in his mother ship with his diett mind
New music-! And a tour, too! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I saw them at Summerfest yesterday (and I got a picture with Kevin Griffin)!
No way that’s awesome
Kind of a Killers/Gaslight Anthem sound. Digging it!
I have always liked Better Than Ezra, and I really like this one a lot, it has a huge 80s new wave throw back feel to it
Love that “Dove” you’re playing Mr. Griffin
Delicious. Very bright guitars.

Almost felt "indie ", right?
My gal got me tix to your show at the El Rey in Los Angeles tonight for my birthday. Can't wait to see you again. This new song dropping today is like a second bday present!!! Hope you play it tonight 😎

I hope this means that a new album is on the way? I had hoped with Grateful, but nothing....
It’s good.
I know that girl!
*WHAT YEAR IS IT*
OK! im digging this jam
I gotta tell ua, I’ve never heard Ezra’s music, but I infer that it’s not too good.
世界1のバンド!
日本に来て下さい!

Loren Israel
Better than Ezra Miller
Why isn’t she from Baton Rouge? Come on BtE.
Topeka is so much more fun to say!! 🤣
Ezra’s still superior to these dudes
It’s been too long…wow
More Freemasonic symbolism?? 🙃🤣
Where is topika????
Kansas
1:06. I made it that far. Check the code.
Totally explains why you are a one hit wonder!
Ezra Miller?
Fort wayne show was good. We couldn't hear your microphones. Your sound dude sucks but you guys kicked ass.
I was really into the song until he started singing TOPEKA.
Something about that came across as weirdly comedic in a bad way and took me out of the song.
craptastic
No band is worse than Better Than Ezra. Except maybe Hootie and the Blowfish. But that’s a low bar
Wonk wonk wonk

Before The Robots is probably my favorite BTE album of all the ones that have came out post 2000. Nothing can touch the first three though.
@@spiffy8576you right about that.
The Topeka part sucks
And Topeka the actual city also sucks lol
Terrible
No
