In nearly 30 years of going to multiple Red Lobsters in multiple states and different cities within those states I have NEVER had a bad meal at any of them ever. All the shrimp, all the lobster, all the appetizers, all the desserts I have ever had anywhere have always been outstanding. After watching this video and seeing all the pics of the food I want to drive 130 miles to my nearest Red Lobster for dinner tonight!
Number 15 was my FAVORITE dish for YEARS! Ive never had a bad serving of this amazing creamy dish from the Johnson City, TN location. It lasts me two days, reheats perfectly. Great…. Now I want some lol
Being a former manager, I can tell you how all this stuff is made lol. I don’t know if I necessarily agree with the order, but Red Lobster is overrated and if you’re by places by the water...local mom and pop shops will be better, but I get it if you’re land locked.
I quit going to Red Lobster when I was served a salad that had a dead fly in it. When I pointed it out to the manager, he told me that if I saw where the salads were made I would understand how this happened. His comments did not inspire confidence in continuing to dine there.
From reading all the comments, it seems that the most important factor in having a satisfying meal at Red Lobster is the kitchen staff. Some cooks are just better at it than others. From my own RL experiences I'd pronounce many of their offerings as tasty, if maybe a bit heavy on the sodium.
Never had a good meal at Red lobster. Always moaned when someone suggested going there but I was a trouper and went. Come to find out they usually were going for the biscuits and desert. Can't believe the chain has survived.
You wrote "trouper". I genuinely salute you. I can't believe how few people know the correct word. I once read a newspaper article describing a sick baby "a real trooper".
This is so true. I rarely go because it's so expensive for what you get. But when I do I get biscuits and lobster dip. Going to have to try the lobster bisque and coconut shrimp though.
I have, before Covid-19, eaten at the Red Lobster in Grand Forks, ND a total of 3 times. After ordering a 12 OZ. New York Strip the first time, that is all I wanted thereafter. Each time it was served hot, properly seasoned and exactly as ordered: Medium Rare. Crazy idea, right? Ordering a steak at a Sea Food Restaurant? Who'd a thunk it???
From a former employee. The clam chowder should taste exactly the same every time, everywhere, since it is canned. Also, the pasta sauces are frozen in giant bags and the biscuits are a mix. Very few menu items are made from scratch at the restaurant. It all comes from a giant Red Lobster manufacturing facility, so if any of these items are not up to par, you are at a REALLY BAD Red Lobster.
Were you a server or something ? Alfredo was made by us, just the base was from a bag. We made all kinds of sauces in house, and actually most of the food too. We make some of the fried stuff in house too, so I don’t know what you’re talking about
@@thegreatsaiyafan I dont know, but people over esimate how much you can "make" food. It's a seafood place. They get fish, thaw it, and then season it. The only thing you really can "Make" In house are sauces, batters, butters, and noodles. Of course I might be missing things, but overall there is not much they can do.
I hate almost everything at Red Lobster, but I love the shrimp scampi. I enjoy Endless Shrimp when it comes around just so I can get tons of scampi. It's probably just the butter sauce it swims in that I like.
You didn't mention their fresh fish offerings, and I find the salmon to be pretty good, and I prefer it broiled rather than grilled. The key lime pie WAS pretty good, but unfortunately it's been discontinued!
Myself and you guys definitely have different tastes. That's why I won't say YOU'RE WRONG, but I will say you whine a lot. Just order some biscuits to go, and go, then leave the rest of us to savor the all you can eat shrimp and admirals feast. What to do with the leftover sauce from the excellent shrimp scampi? Pour it over your loaded baked potato. It's AWESOME! 🤣
Never had a basket of hot biscuits so I couldn't say if they make the grade. I can say that what I have been served is dry sawdust like things without any cheddar taste
Okay I work at Red Lobster and just stick with the Lobster, the pasta and or baked potato because all that other stuff just makes a mess in the kitchen and that's why we can't stay open as late because we are cleaning your mess! Mkay just bring your family on Tuesday night and have some margaritas and your kids eat at no extra cost as long as you buy a meal for the adult party. If you have friends that work in the kitchen at Red Lobster you get an additional %25 off and as always you will earn reward points.
Same with Olive Garden. I got some alfredo pasta and it was so bland even with the cheese they put on it. Only good thing was the breadsticks and salad. Way too expensive to be that bland.
I tried a Long John Silvers back in the mid 80's per my girlfriends request. The food was actually decent at a decent price. I went to a local Red Lobster 4 years ago. Not only was the food tasteless the portions looked like they took the seafood from a nursery and you got not much of that either and overpriced. Yuck!
I could never get the server to get more of the biscuits...the endless shrimp, seams to all be precooked frozen before prepared, grilling already cooked shrimp is a no go...
If you can find a "clean" Red Lobster...good luck! The one in our area is down right dirty. 20 yrs ago it was one of the most popular restaurants in our town, & hard to find a parking space, now the lot is most always empty. If U decide to go inside, there is always a wait for seating. Not due to customers, but from the staff standing around talking to each other while all the empty tables are loaded with dirty dishes. If you do eventually get seated, U can observe the staff wiping down the tables with filthy rags that look like they've never been washed. On our trip we actually got up & left...it was so unsanitary in the dining room, we shuddered to think what the kitchen was like. Maybe the chain has better places in other states, but in our area, customers don't dine there any more!
I like the The Rock Main Lobster and steak combination with baked potato and sting beans and biscuits. To top it of with a Bahama Mama drink! Sorry not served during the pandemic! Never had a bad meal at Red Lobster and the service is great! I've been to more exclusive restaurants in Coronado that are way more expensive than Red Lobster! So they are in line with prices they charge today if its not during the pandemic!
The jumbo shrimp are actually flattened popcorn sized shrimp dipped in a lot of batter to make them look jumbo, and then fried. What you end up with is an oily, soggy, doughy, minced up plankton sized shrimp that the tail that’s left on it is the biggest, most authentic part of the whole shrimp that you’re getting. I had to send mine back last night and the manager did admit that the shrimp is frozen and sent to the restaurants to throw in the fryer. It’s really a shame. Red Lobster used to be a really good place to eat. They also need to get rid of the nasty lobster tanks that hold the poor lobsters sitting in them waiting for death.
I love it when, I can get there, one of they have the best crab legs and grilled scallops, those things are better than candy! Not to mention the Cheddar Bay Biscuits aren’t that bad neither, you just can’t eat one! Always leave stuffed!
Not everything is terrible. Endless shrimp is good, especially scampi and grilled shrimp options. (Make sure you can eat about four servings!) A lobster feast during the specials (without the pasta side)--just three different versions of lobster, plus making sure the lobster arrives "juicy" is a good bet. Avoid anything fried, especially some of those nasty appetizers like fried mozzarella sticks.
Best crab legs I have ever had in m life is down in Florida, at ormond beach, at a place called Charlie Horse... A little hole in the wall, but for $20 for all you an eat crab legs and another $25 to make it a shared dinner with $15/pitcher of whatever you want to drink.. not bad for 3 people who are hungry lol okay, we might have had all you can eat shrimp as well as the crab legs... Sort of drunk that day, between the beach sun and ocean surf, and the quiet coolness of Charlie Horse restaurant in Ormond beach FL, all I know is that it beat Red Lobster any day of the week..
They used to have a Broiled seafood Platter but they took it off the menu, the remaining meals seem kind of cheap, lot of breading and now they sell a lot of pasta which is really a cheap thing to eat out. I do not go out to eat pasta, I make good quality pasta at home with quality pasta, it is not real often because it is not the healthiest thing to eat. i am not paying top money to eat breading and pasta which is basically filler.
As someone who has worked in a Red Lobster kitchen, let me just tell you all one thing. NEVER, and I mean, NEVER, order a salad from this restaurant chain. You have been warned.
It really depends on the specific Red Lobster. When I lived in San Jose, there was a really good RL on Blossom Hill Road. But others I have gone to in California, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and New York have been mediocre or downright bad.
They took my favorite platters off the menu prices are to high and you don't get much portions use to love to eat there but after mother's day lunch with my daughter I won't go back
Apparently you do not have good restaurants where you are. Ours here in Texas Houston area are good. Of course the quality of the food and service depends on management and cooks.

U wrk for Reb Lobster huh ,?
lol
yeah no kidding there are a few things that are ok but most of the items on the menu are not very good
Me too buddy
Eat the shrimp scampi, then use cheddar bay biscuits to sop up the remaining garlic wine sauce. Yum.
All I want from Red lobster are those delicious biscuits!
Ewww . It’s only tasted of butter
You can buy the Red Lobster biscuit mix at Walmart. Easy to make and tastes just like the ones in the restaurant ♥️
Same the biscuits is so good
I don't think anything is bad.
They have these at home mixes. Shits really good, especially with chili. Not kidding

The garlic shrimp scampi is the best .love the lobster also. Iv always been happy with there food

What an asshole manager , he should of been fired.
Lmao!
@@lc7918 Yeah, I didn't think it was too funny at the time.
This is why I don’t eat salad I’d rather stick to my veggies and dip
Yuck!

Cheddar bay biscuits, Shrimp scampi, seafood stuffed mushroom : nuff said, Red Lobster is a winner - “bar none”! 😎

DID THEY JUST TALK SMACK ABOUT THE NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER?!!! THE NERVE!!! THE UNMITIGATED GALL!!!

The Admiral's Platter used to be called Plentiful Platter back in the day!
Red Lobster's fish and chips are some of the best I've ever put in my mouth!
Love the crab legs and the biscuits are the bomb !

Any place that serves animals, be it seafood, beef, chicken, any portion of a pig is despicable. They want to live as you and I do.

You don't know what to do with all of that garlic butter from the shrimp scampi??? You dunk your Cheddar Bay biscuits in it!
All i want is Shrimp 🍤 fest with butter garlic biscuits.
We had mediocre meals every time. So we stopped going to RL. Better to get seafood from the grocery store and cook at home.
Love coconut shrimp! Gotta try RL’s version w/ their biscuits, of course!!!
The Admirals Feast is my favorite.
I always get admirals feast 😁
I had red lost since 5 years ago and the food was terrible. Nothing but oily food from the fryer.
I went to RL 2 months ago only to find out they no longer serve the garden salad. I was sad. 😔

yeah the worst stuff to them could be your favorite
I've always enjoyed their stuffed mushroom appetizers. Not much else, though.
I always get the Cajun Chicken Linguine! Yup, chicken!
Love their biscuits though
I've never eaten there and after this video and reading the comments I don't think I ever will.
Never had a basket of hot biscuits so I couldn't say if they make the grade. I can say that what I have been served is dry sawdust like things without any cheddar taste
The Stuffed Mushrooms 🔥🔥🔥
All the reasons why I haven't eaten there in 40+ years
I dip everything in that scampi sauce 😋
Same😅
I live in Central Point, OR Red Lobster is so good i love it
My Red Lobster must then have the best staff around, as I never had a bad meal there and I'm talking about from the 80's to early 2000's.

Go on Monday 4 endless shrimp best deal!
I never got bad food at red lobster, love it
Comparing anything at Long John Silver’s to anything at Red Lobster is pretty damn ridiculous!
The clam chowder soup and seafood linguini has always been a couple of their best items and not sure where I’ve had better….
The best in a seafood restaurant... Is the bread?!
It’s true
Their shrimp linguini is awesome. When they had the Cajun shrimp linguini was even better (but yes high cal)
Crab linguini Alfredo is my favorite.
Hi everyone
Happy Friday ❤️
Is stuffed flounder not popular?
I love Red lobster I've never had a bad meal have to listen to your thing today I think I have lunch at Red lobster
7:01 I have that same type of white plate with the symbols around it at home.
I thought about Red Lobster for Valentine's Day, but you've convinced me to go somewhere else. Thanks for the heads up.
I won’t anywhere!
Red who?!?!? They went down the tubes years ago!
Same with Olive Garden. I got some alfredo pasta and it was so bland even with the cheese they put on it. Only good thing was the breadsticks and salad. Way too expensive to be that bland.

It's been under new ownership since. Try the stuffed flounder and the crab queso
Look at what’s best for you and what makes you happy eating.
I work there and most of the food doesn’t look like that

Red Lobster is the IHOP of seafood cuisine. Find yourself an authentic place serving fresh, delicious decadent cuisine.
Love IHOP pancakes, eggs and sausage....... never been to RL.
IHOP pancakes and hashbrowns always rock wym
