I’m a 69 retired medical coder, that loves to learn anatomy and Zack is my go to guy for learning! Zack, you are incredibly knowledgeable and your teaching method is so amazing and interesting!
I am crying inside out of happiness and gladness that I found your channel and it is a light in my unknown world of studying anatomy. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge so clearly and so organized free of charge. Thank you, thank you, thank you soooo much
Hello Zach. I'm a 70 year old man who retired in Spain after living in USA for 47 years. I was watching your program / lesson on Neuroscince and all that involves our neuro system... WOW! thanks what a wonderful way to explain how our neurosystem work / function. Thank you, your way of explaining this, makes it so simple to understand . Again, congrats on your wonderful program and way to articulate such a wonderful information! Regards EC
So grateful for your passion and dedication to teaching Anatomy and Physiology and your attention to detail. Nice clear and easy to understand and relate to what we learn from the book and Pearson. Ninja Nerd you are amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
As someone who has a degree in Neural networks and artificial intelligence i totally love how the diagrams are used to make this 100x better to understand than reading a text book. Thanks for putting in the extra effort !!
I'm going back to school as a more visual learner than I used to be and I have to say the pictures you use while you walk through the detailed mechanisms and the science with word cues covers a ton of processing styles making it easier to learn. Your speaking is also good and easy to listen to. This is one of the best lectures I've watched from an educator. You manage to make something dry a little fun, too. One thing that always helps learn but I feel educators leave out is the why behind a function and what it leads to. It creates a fun journey of events to understand the macro micro and I feel gives more value and integration.
You are FREAKING AMAZING. I teach college biology (cell and molecular) and I like to include as many "real-life" physiological scenarios as possible. Your videos have truly helped me review what I learned years ago, making my teaching, and my class, so much more exciting and fun. YOU ROCK!!
Highly recommend this neurology lecture series to anyone who is studying neural anatomy/physiology!! You'll find life is so much easier when going through the textbook.
the fact your brain holds this much information and your ability to teach this, in a way that an average joe can understand is baffling lol. Thanks so much Zach. i love this channel
I got bored with Guyton and Hall, so I wanted to watch something more interesting, and I gotta say this series is not just more interesting, but also somehow equally (as much as it is possible for a video) informative. Good job, man! Amazingly clear and beautifully illustrated.
Thank you so much for all your videos, PA Zach! You got me As in Biochem/lab/Advanced Biochem and I've continued watching your channels because it is so much more fun & interesting than traditional lectures! I also like the art skills!!
I have an exam in 2 days that got changed from multiple choice to short essays at last minute and I have been struggling stress that's been inhibiting learning and memory. Just found your neuro videos and these are the only study aids that keep me engaged and help me learn at this point. I am so thankful to you for making these videos and sharing your teaching talent globally.
Zach.... you're unreal! The amount of knowledge you have...and the way you're sharing it to us all... I'm speechless. You make us WANT to study...and that is just amazing!! May god bless you with utmost success and health Zach🤞🏻🧿 Love and respect! 🙌🏻
Going through this lecture was probably the best experience as a neuropsychology student. I just want to get a portion of your spirit! Thank you so very much.
Brother i am amazed at your teaching skills. Your lectures help me understand and enjoy my study and also motivate me to learn more . I really hope to meet you one day and want to learn a lot from you. May Allah bless you. I am really really grateful to you. You know i am from Bangladesh and i am a med student for almost 1.5 years now. All these time i have tried to learn from your lectures as much as possible. And it was worth it! Thank you so much for helping uss. You are literally a hero . You know my elder brother also watched your lecture on enzymes and he is not even a med student. But he learnt it for his versity education. About 2 months later i will be sitting for my 1 st professional exam. Please wish good luck to your little sister . ❤❤❤❤❤❤ from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 😊
I am so happy I've discovered your channel before my exams😅These lectures are amazing, I couldn't catch on to these topics but I totally understand these lectures. Thank you!
perfect can't tell you how many specialist and professors have given me some b.s. explanation for my condition. 30mins from your class opens up an understandable view on how it actually works and what is failing.
Currently studying for my closing dissection test, gone through all your cranial nerve videos and now just filling in my gaps in knowledge, Thank you for making these insanely well made videos
Wow! I name myself officially a Ninja Nerd! I love watching this guy! He explains everything in keen and intricate detail and he's definitely a study resource! I hardly ever subscribe to anything but I'm subscribed to this!
My dear respected sir Zach Murphy I love to watch your lectures and to make notes from it. You explain everything quite easy and wonderfully. I am your student from Waziristan.
Just ordered Ninja Nerd Hoodie! Can't wait to sport it while I study! 🤓 ... Hey, ever thought about creating scrub caps for Frontline workers? I would be down to show that off at work & community everyday! Truly appreciate your hard work & creative teaching methods! 🙏🏼
Honestly, if publish your notes, I'm sure every Prof who cares about knowledge transfer and comprehension for the students would jump all over your books of notes (especially if they came with the videos, the transcripts, and step by step drawings, aaaaaaand if they included a few boxes with side info about related topics, it'd be mind blowing). I don't think the universities are using you guys sufficiently--i mean, the prof could ask everyone to watch your lecture lesson before class, and have the class be a discussion for further clarification and understanding. The ability to hit pause or back up 30 seconds is life changing lol.
I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for your lectures, which have significantly enhanced my understanding and enjoyment of the subject. Thanks to you and your team's efforts, I was able to achieve a perfect score of 5 out of 5. Wishing you and your team continued success and best wishes. With warm regards,

Can you build on all these awesome Neurology videos and do a video on Neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Dementia, Macular Degeneration. Awesome work!
you have a fire to tech burning inside of you. you are such a great teacher. you have made things so simple and so easy to understand. you are simply great. Thanks.
As someone who does research on artificial intelligence, I cannot thank you enough. Such videos are integral for people who need a brief overview of these mechanisms, without having to refer to large volumes that explain the exact same thing in a more time consuming way.
Na and K are both positive ions. The voltage within the cell is NEGATIVE 70 mV at rest due to protein molecules with a negative charge in the cell. Maybe you are wondering why release one positive ion in and a different positive ion out? Once the neuron fires the Na and K are not on the right sides of the cell. The NA K pump transports 3 Na ions out for every 2 K ions it lets in. This makes the outer fluid positive and ready to fire. So the cell discharges and recharges in a consistent way.
I just learned soooo much, in such a short time, and it was not painful to watch, but very interesting while still being very relevant to my A&P class for my midterm.
Many, many, people could teach these subjects; however, I firmly believe very few, and very far between, could teach them the way you do! What may be, truly, and accurately, described as a “special breed”.
