Won’t be that broken because each summon costs a spirit. We kinda have it with Foame which is like another Grizzly and you can end on Sluggle or Drataqua for recovery
A treeborn frog would be INSANE. CalebDOTexe and I spent basically all of yesterday refining a list for Drakking that we think has a serious chance in the format, and I would put a Treeborn Frog in that in an instant
@@23jewfan It would absolutely be broken. At best its threatening an acsension every single turn, threatening HUGE tempo plays constantly in a way thats basically impossible to deal with. At worst its an infinite nexus bank thats impossible to every actually deal with
@@SatanicWren Well its not an infinite nexus bank. You have to "sacrifice" a spirit from your spirit deck each turn to summon it. Also remember treeborn has a restriction. Nevertheless it would be good, it would make a lot of level 2 spirits actually playable
Personal Take: the deck ABSOLUTELY needs a divine rune because it's better to enchant the spirits from UW to a divine than it is to an elestral. Zeus or demeter are the preferred ones due to stat mods, with demeter being slightly better since it pumps your own guys (circumventing the inability to target chronodile in that match up)
I am admittedly very new to Elestrals, but if you're struggling so much with your spirit colors, why not just cut the earth spirits? Is Earthquake so irreplaceable that you need to juggle with weird color counts and misenchanting?
Spot removal is extremely rare in elestrals and earthquake deals with 99% of the problem elestrals instantly so you definitely want to play it if you can since most decks don't have that
So i don’t really play at all but what happens if you’re in a position where you only have like 1 or 2 spirits left and nothing on board do you just auto lose?
While it would require an ounce of effort in the editing, it would be nice to keep a count of spirits left in SD just under the SD, make the text color for each match (wind is light blue, thunder is dark yellow, etc), and then give them a stroke or a color contrasting box to go in. Or just use the elestrals element symbols rather than 2 letters. IE: [SD,8] Fi:4/5, Fr:3/10, Wi:0/5, Wa:1/5
These lists are so boring. Its almost the exact runes from the fives deck list just swap laurels with rise. Not saying its a bad deck by any means, it looks solid. But just not as creative as id like to see.
Yeah it's kinda depressing that the game is 15-20 somewhat intresting creatures and then just very samey backrow. Also the fact that there are no color restrictions sounded like the game would be very open ended, but it just ends up with most decks just playing a very similar card pool of what's best. The only con being that you won't always be able to cast everything lategame?
@Ironpecker the game is still young so I give it a pass. It's like early yugioh when everybody ran mirror force, bottomless trap hole, etc. Nothing wrong with having staples that any deck can use. I feel like the problem is that their isn't enough counter play to the runes themselves. All we have right now to counter runes is chains of prometheus and that's gonna force you to run fire spirits. Hopefully we see more counterplay in the near future to combat backrow.
This deck's been through a TON of iterations, but thanks to Swoleax, Trishula, and most of all wayward for coming up with the original concept!
This deck is so much fun. I'm glad other people are enjoying it too
when i heard "most expensive card of all time" the yugioh player in me flinched like an abuse victim but you meant spirit cost.
Now you have me wondering if a Treeborn Frog-esk Elestral would be as mindblowing in Elestrals as it was in Yugioh for strategies such as this.
I personally think it’ll be just as broken. Free fodder is basically nonexistent in this game so it’ll instantly become the best card in the game.

Funny how 20 Spirits Testing is closer to 10 minutes than 20
I mean it will always be accurate as along as they do increase the life total
I mean, it is a single game instead of 2+ a match. I'd expect it to take less time
Analysts are saying that this opening skit could be top 3 openers of any video ever.
I wonder if there is another card game with monarchs in it.
I don't think so honestly, seems kinda silly

What are you using to play this online?
It's a simulator that's in development I think, it isn't publicly available yet
Simulator link?
