My dad's first concert was Green Day lol 😅 I'm 26 and he turned 49 this past year. I remember rocking out on Sundays cleaning listening to this and other stuff ❤ he says mentally he still feels like a teenager, same here lol I don't think it ever changes.

@@7James77Yeah I miss it too. The dynamics of their playing was more fun to listen to and really enhanced the songs. Thankfully there are a few songs on their recent record ‘Saviors’ where there’s a return like Mike’s Bass lines on 1981 and Tre’s drumming on Coma City. More with that playfulness are welcome :)

Andy Ernst produced this and recorded it at Art of Ears in San Francisco in late December of 1992. He also did all of the main Lookout-era albums, including Kerplunk.

Was obsessed with dookie and this album when i was 11/12 when it came out and fills me with nostalgia, i never dreamed i would go on to be a multi millionaire and never have any worries or even have to learn to cook or clean for myself, i don't even know how to make a bed. Kind of wish i was poor so could have empathy for the lesser folk. But green day were instrumental in my life, they chased money and success also and it inspired me to not care about others and put yourself first and thats what green day are all about. All there so gs are about showing people and how crap normal life is

What it is Green Day? I heard it, it was just something special and took my heart a little. Maybe a little, because i just was not adult enough of life events. I loved my classmate and liked to look cool in front of her, i would like to tell her that i have a friend, that is very similar to Billy Joe, in other amazing warm russian city Krasnodar, that in the tropics. But now Green Day is my favourite band and It's very nice to be nostalgic! Specially for this song! And now it fully take my heart, but i will never see my classmate again and she never very wanted. The bass is amazing, the sound is great, but the mix of it appearing and disappearing depending on the fancy fretwork is a little odd. Some notes are in the front of the track, other times it sounds drowned out. Awesome demo, glad we got the album cut we got. Mix be damned, Dirnt can make a Bass work for him. Wow.
