I'm working on owl videos for you but in the meantime I'd love to introduce you to the beautiful common loons. The common loons are my second favorite species of bird. In this video you will learn the language of loons and their calls. They are incredibly loving parents and father loon can be fierce at all costs when defending mom and baby.
When I was working in Northern Ontario, I used to drive to a small almost deserted lake in the middle of nowhere after work and chill out for a while just to listen to the loons. There is something mesmerizing and almost hypnotic to their calls. I have sometimes heard that haunting call referred to as a 'madwoman's scream'. Take care and stay healthy, my dear Heather!

You have some incredible footage of these hard to film shy birds who always take the centre of any waterway when I have seen them. I had never heard any of these calls before, but also never seen any with young in the UK. I love the explanation of their various calls and how you have captured all those throaty vibrations they make when calling. It's a wonderful video of gorgeous birds with such incredible and beautiful plumage, second to none. I LOVE it Heather and would have watched a more lengthy video. 💗◕‿◕

Hope your weather has changed and making life a little easier on you. I know this weather change is grsat for me, especially my back (I was hit by a drunk driver at 19 years old and have had back pain ever since. ) My forest is turning green in front of my eyes, it's beautifull 🌱. That's too amazing, awesome, beautiful to digest by one watch, Heather. These birds are so beautiful and you caught such wonderful close-ups, which make me want to study thei patterns and shades of their coat of feathers more closely... but the best part is, of course, seeing them as a family. the chicks are very cute. Makes a perfect Mother's Day video imo :-))) i am presently spending long morning hours daily at the foot of a Sacred Fig Tree with a baby owl, but i think i told you about it already. I never had seen this before.Thank you for sharing and it was very sad to read as a comment by one of my video, that you can't continue to be treated for lyme disease. Is there not a other doctor who can consult you or is the corona virus the cause that you do not receive treatment. There must be another doctor somewhere who will guide you further. Here in NL there are still also a lot of people on waiting lists because other patients have more important complaints. I hope for you to quickly find another doctor who can keep your illness stable. Thank you so much for your kind words Tine ♥️ I live in Canada and it is illegal to treat late stage Lyme disease in my country I was travelling to see my lyme disease doctor and the USA since 2012. The borders are currently closed and even if I found a lime disease doctor in the USA there’s no way I could get there because the borders are closed. There is a minimum of a three year wait list for every single doctor that treats Lyme disease it is a pandemic as well that is not talked about and that is why the wait lists are so long! What makes it even worse is they have completely taken away one of my medications I need for the rest of my life because they’re treating Covid with it. That is unfair. My doctor had 2000 patients with my disease and now 2000 of us have to look for a new doctor and get put on the three year waiting list and pray for a miracle

The borders are currently closed and even if I found a lime disease doctor in the USA there’s no way I could get there because the borders are closed. There is a minimum of a three year wait list for every single doctor that treats Lyme disease it is a pandemic as well that is not talked about and that is why the wait lists are so long! What makes it even worse is they have completely taken away one of my medications I need for the rest of my life because they’re treating Covid with it.
That is unfair.
My doctor had 2000 patients with my disease and now 2000 of us have to look for a new doctor and get put on the three year waiting list and pray for a miracle
Fantastic footage Heather! Love those babies!!! I once watched a parent trying to get the baby to eat a small minnow and it wasn't going to eat it. The parent would keep picking up the minnow and putting it in front of the baby, so funny, kids are kids! Hope you are keeping well, Ossie
