I love the fish conservation, just be careful. Looks crazy. I've noticed that reds will do that "tonic immobility" thing almost like sharks when they go on their back. I see it all the time when releasing them from my kayak. If you send them in head first and they never go upside down, they're usually good. Keep the vids coming!

I think they make 4 oz. Crocodile spoons? I think I used to Whip 4 oz. crocs but maybe they were 3? They were great for Omilu first thing in the morning at sunrise. They Fly! You can rip them along the surface for a fast gurgle type retrieve and the Omilu/Cobalt blue jacks will whack it with their head but those big trebles will gaff em most of the time if sharp. Omilus taste great, beer battered and fried, The bones can be fried crispy too. Wish our Gulf brown water had those other types of edible jacks pacific Yellow jacks are delicious.. Most pacific jacks are good to eat. Even the Amber jacks are delicious in the Pacific. The 20 pounders usually are clean, no ciguatera but any bigger they get worms. Hawaiians take the Kohala/Amber Jack fillets and hold them up to the sun.. They pull out the worms they see in the meat with needle nose pliers. Big worms like spaghetti. Some Hawaiians just leave worms in and eat the worms and say it make the meat more betta...
