I still have a heavy heart when it comes to Momoland (knowing how they ended up and feeling glad that they disbanded). I just feel bad for Daisy: Imagine being eliminated, being brought into a group after their debut, cast aside after hitting a career high and being kept in a contract but unable to leave. Also, it's a weird blessing/curse that Huh Chanmi was in Duble Kick at the time and wasn't in this survival show even though she was the most known/popular trainee in that company.
The company literally did them dirty with all of this messy strategy and mind games. Especially Joee, she has so much potential. She reminds me of Billie Suki in many ways. She could shine more brighter 😢
There is so much wrong being done by entertainment companies that is continually being exposed yet next to nothing is done about it to protect the trainees and idols. Until there are strict regulations/guidelines and they are strictly enforced upon the companies, including large fines, taking away their licenses and even jail time for the guilty persons we are going to continue to see more of these stories about trainees and idols enduring mental, physical and financial abuse. And in the worst case scenario, news of trainees and idols taking their own lives.
the way the company kept explaining themselves was laughable. just because something is a 'standard practice in the entertainment industry' doesn't mean it's not predatory and wrong. just because someone signs a contract doesn't mean they fully endorse it 😑
I remember when they first went viral with Boom Boom. Great song, great era. I wish they could have maintained that high, but their bad company and all the scandals proved too much. :(
i’m a huge fan of momoland, i find it sad that daisy’s mom attacked the rest of the girls, especially knowing how screwed up the company was. to my fellow merries, please support each of them on their solo endeavours. all of them have social media now, daisy has instagram and tik tok; i love seeing her doing dance covers and getting snippets of her life now. she seems like she is done with the industry, which is fair, but there is more to see from all of them. thank you for making this video, momoland had such potential but between their toxic company and false rumors; they weren’t able to thrive. i know it is unlikely but hopefully, now or in the future, we will see them together again. it doesn‘t even have to be on a stage... i just want to see my girls together again. 😓
I can't believe they charged the girls huge production fees for being on the show, that's crazy. I love your channel, I'm a clueless outsider when it comes to kpop but your videos make learning about it all really accessable.
Not fair to other contestants when Daisy got offered something despite being eliminated. But it's not her fault. Nothing good coming from this company. I wonder how their boy group gonna survive 🤔
Unfortunately It’s not going well for TFN. They haven’t been promoted properly in Korea In almost 2 years. Yeah and look at Lapillus already. And Chanty.
Another excellent job and I look forward to your follow up on Momoland. I really liked the members and how they interacted with each other. Daisy was particularly good when making content with Ahin and Nancy for English speaking fans. I've always felt she got a raw deal, but the reality it a bit muddy. Double Kick produced some of my all time favorite songs, but when they became managers of their own group it was a disaster. I wish they would just go back to producing bops and I wish Momoland could live on under a better company, but we know that will never happen. They all ended up with the "death card".
Yeah but they could still release a special single since basically they’re like LovelyZ now they don’t have to be under their agency to release music but I bet they’ll all move on but I know we’ll get reunions
Man, I’ve been out of the KPop loop for a while now, come back to find out Momoland disbanded?? !? 😭 Yikesss oh no…!! 😢😢 I wish the girls the best, hope they find happiness and creative fulfillment in whatever they decide to do 🙏🏼 ❤
momoland had so much potential to be bigger, if only their company knew how to really use the popularity they received through boom boom and most importantly treat their artists better
Boys 24 and SKYE/IN2IT deserved better as well (but I’m glad the group is doing better off and) but I’m glad DKB’s Echan and HeeChan are thriving (they were former Boys24 contestants)
I saw Momoland in 2019 and when they came on stage I was so confused because there were only 6 of them, and we hadn’t gotten any news about the other members not coming besides Taeha and Daisy being on hiatus. I was so sad when Yeonwoo didn’t show up and only months later she left the group :( I was so excited to see them and it was amazing, but it was a huge letdown that Yeonwoo didn’t come and that there were no news about it beforehand either 😭
Even though MLD put so much statement, it still haven't cover a truth about them being one of the worst companies who mistreating their own idols, AKA nancy from Momoland
That was crazy with its was manipulated in a way. I never watch any survival show ever. When Daisy spoke about that I was surprised. I didn't want to believe that at first but she wasn't promoting with the group at all
Although it’s over you should watch peak time it’s so good and not rigged at all although one group was done dirty on the 1st episode (Kingdom) it’s pretty good overall. Midnight also did a vid on peak time so pls check it out
I want these young ladies to win. They could have been as big as other groups if their management did everything in their power to take care of them and their talent. It's too bad that based on what other people are saying, MLD seems to be repeating the same mistakes with their current talent like Lapillus. It's not fair at all. These kids have dreams. These kids are working hard for their dreams. And these kids have put everything into their dreams.
Its sad really. Regardless of who to blame, Daisy's mother? MLD? They were great entertainers and could have been even more successful. Boom Boom and Baam will always be iconic in kpop history. They made their mark at least.
Paying for the show seems weird but, tbh, in the end all idols (and recording artists in general) pay for the expenses of the preparation and creating of the music. I am not saying MLD are a good company, they are not, I am just saying that in the end all artists pay to be produced and promoted. In the end, read your contract because you are an adult and are responsible for signing it if you choose to. JYP also rigged Sixteen in a very similar way but because they are a big 3 company and it was Twice people got over it very quickly. You don't think Twice had to (and still do) pay off all their promotion costs? The double standards are notable. I also actually strongly disliked Daisy for the way that she handled this all.. undermining the group mid comeback like she did was a direct attack on the remaining girls themselves and was mean and spiteful. She didn't need to do it in order to win her case so it is clear that it was malice born out of jealousy. It was disgusting.

Yep unless it’s peak time
I was thinking about this reality show today, it was so embarrassing. The money spent on Finding Momoland would be better spent on the group's debut.

If it's a small consolation, Daisy is winning her lawsuit against MLD. They haven't submitted any further evidence.
