Hi, this is kinda random but I wanted to ask you if you could make a video about the solist Eyedi. She basically disappeared since 2020. Besides a confirmation for a new song in 2021, which was never released, she hasn't updated her social media. Her entertainment, base camp studio, stayed, until now, silent. Nobody knows what is happening, but the fandom is to small to use public pressure against the entertainment.

So all of this hate is basically because female fans were jealous of girl groups, there was a dating rumor and the thought of their idols being in couple was a nightmare for them so they decided to make their life a living hell. Honestly these companies have to take a stronger stance when it comes to idols safety. Hearing about all these fanwars from 1st gen idol fan honestly just sound like hell. To think that a dating rumor back then could cause injury or potentially death is terrifying to me. Thanks to those freaking crazy fans that Baby VOX decided to promote more in other countries and my Thailand was one of them. In early 2000s, they came to join a big concert festival and loved it here so much they came back to shoot MVs and many more promotions over the years. It paved the way for Korean artists to come here and promote which made Thai people more receptive to their music. I might even daresay that Nichkhun, Sorn, Lisa, and many later were results of this entire story.
PS: I still own Baby VOX cassettes and DVDs to this day. Everything started from them. Much love

I was a huge fan of Baby Vox back in high school, still a fan. Had the big crush on Shim Eun Jun. I remember buying their album in ktown, a lady angrily asked, why I listened to that crap and not buy their album. I told her, make me its a free country and I can listen to or buy whatever I want. This was back in 2003, how times flies!
Between the bullying scandals actively hidden by the company, the literal street brawls over groups and this extreme anti fan behavior it really makes you realize how far kpop has come since first gen.

i only discovered the group in late 2019 and honestly I spent the whole quarantine binging on their music, performances and interviews and i barely found any english or translated contents for them. I was super shocked when I found about how they were terrorized by antis i really thought they were loved just as much as s.e.s and fin.k.l because of how talented they were. Dr music was always a mess that's why their groups (post baby vox) are hardly finding any success

It's good they have a CEO and company that tried their hardest protecting them, it's just they were up against a fandom from a big company. The members had so much patience. I would have gone all out. I would have carried my own eggs and throw it back at them or flip them off as well while I was performing. I would have press charges even if they were minors, I was a fan to many K-pop groups at that age but never thought of sending blades to idols that are caught in a dating rumor with my faves, I didn't even show anger. I would be happy for my faves. Having this kind of behavior is not normal, doesn't matter what age you are. Even though things have improved, it's not better, there is still a lot of flaws.

Honestly, this always happens. The female idol always gets the short end of the stick and the male idol is left untouched and unbothered (refusing to address or defend the female idol). I’ve just recently got into baby VOX and I found out what they went through and I was so heart broken like people need to chill seriously even though some of this behavior has died out in recent years it’s still a fucking mess like sorry to break the news to everybody but the odds of you actually dating your faves is very slim almost to zero once you get that through your head your life will be so much easier
As a current White Angel (who was born after this incident), I am so sorry this happened to all Baby Angels. Seriously, there are so many people to blame- the psychopatic fans, the hate train, the people who started the rumours, but Miyeon is not one of them.
I do respect and admire these guys, as they have been helping me understand life, but hearing these things, and realising Heejun hasn’t helped out and spoke out on what has happened, I couldn’t say anything but I have less respect for him rather than any of the other 4. I do have slight less respect for some of the other members, including a member (who I would not name) being arrested for illegal gambling.
This isn’t a hate comment to him or anything, so don’t think I’m some sort of hater towards him while I respect the other members as a whole. Idols are humans. We all have our pros and cons as a human. But sadly, this is a con for him.

Miyoun has spoken about it. She said that one day she received a lengthy DM from a woman who was a H.O.T. fan in her teenage days and was "hating" on Miyoun. She didn't do anything physical but joined the hate train to not be bullied by her friends. Miyoun said the woman apologised to her saying she now has a daughter who is into idol groups and seeing the kid made her reflect on what a dumb teenager she was. One step on the right direction.
There are a few stories of 1st gen antis growing up and reaching our to the artists and apologising, I hope there are more that we just don't know.

I remember leaving a comment saying you should cover them. Now, you probably didn't do it because of me but I think it's cool, and obviously sad. I was both a H.O.T and BBV fan back in the days and since I was watching from afar, I didn't know all the drama that was going on (news travelled at a different pace in the early 2000s). When I learned about it all later, I was very disappointed in Moon Hee Jun's demeanour. He never acknowledged the gravity of the situation, nor did any other member look back and see it from BBV's point of view. I'm pretty sure it's to avoid angering their fanbase, even years later. And I loved H.O.T, but still disappointed it was never properly addressed...both groups members are almost all over 40 ffs.
Moon Heejun and Kan Miyoun have met a lot on varieties over the years and NEVER did Heejun even properly say sorry for giving Miyoun the worst time of her life. On one hand, he clearly is not responsible for his fans but the least he could have said to Miyoun is "hey I never wanted it either, it's a travesty what happened. If there's anything I can do to help you heal from it tell me". Not even that. All he alwasy said is "our fans were very obsessed with us" "we were marketed to be like boyfriend's to them" yeah and? This talented woman was ripped to shreds and you can't even say a word of sorry?

I was just a fan, their songs had meaning for me 20 years ago so that won't change. I believe I can like what they did music wise without liking who they became as men. The fact that SM NEVER stepped in until their name was mentioned by the other CEO! This reminds me of the Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett and Sabrina Carpenter situation. Especially since Rodrigo has way more freedom of speech and actions than Kpop artists especially in this day and age.
I get that often celebrities get heavily bullied and may receive D threats (I am not justifying!We just are all familiar with it more or less), but with people actually attempting to KLL them, not doing anything is disgusting.

I made a post on r/HobbyDrama on Baby V.O.X., this incident and their careers and despite of how often I see and hear this it still terrifies me. Miyoun is one of my favourite singers and she's so talented and beautiful, Baby V.O.X. is one of my favourite groups ever, it's a mfing travesty what happened to them, and the effects this incident still has on the ladies, especially Lee Heejin and Yoon Eunhye. There's a good reason I don't vibe with H.o.t. songs - they wrote about school bullying while their own fandom terrorised and bullied everyone else.

No your favorite idol most likely isn’t going to date you, and they especially wouldn’t want to date you when they found out how obsessed/dangerous you are. These types of fans are absolutely delusional. I know K-pop’s marketing is part of the reason why lots of fans are like this so I hope that changes, but I also wish these fans get help.
This breaks my heart. I really like Baby Vox music. I stumble upon their music when I was getting into more Kpop back in middle school. The actions of these individuals are sickening. Fans should know their place! You are just a fan at the end of the day nothing more.

I used to be a fan of baby vox from 2004 until their disbandment and from the older fans back in the days I've heard a lot.

crazy all the shit theyve been through. i didnt know about the threats and violence they endured because of dating rumors bc a lot of info is scattered around the internet and not really talked about but even before this i would think, as a fan who mainly listens and indulges in their music, that they were so talented with so much bad luck :(
now that i think about it this is probably the reason why some companies don’t allow their idols to date, which is kinda sad that some fans act like this :(

I've been a K-pop fan since 2018, and I still don't understand how someone can be a fan of just one group. If I enjoy a style of music, I pretty much always end up becoming a fan of almost every artist or group that performs in that style.
Lee HeeJin was my bias back in the late 90s early 2000s, along with Kim Eugene! But indeed, kpop fans back then were extremely toxic!
It's scary that some of these were MINORs but nothing could be done because SK doesn't really like to punish minors (or their parents get fined/punished rather than the minor). I wouldn't have let that anti-fan get away with anything. You gonna pay for what you did and you're going to learn your lesson. Face the consequences of your actions.
This is sad. I really like their music. I still have their songs on my playlist. I wasn't a fan of them when they were active. Just became a fan last year. It hurts to see this.

@@hollybrooke322 at this point, the word boomers isn't referred to only those born from the 50s baby boom era anymore, instead of anyone who is not from the current-gen z generation. Like how all the real old boomers born in the 50s call any young person today millennials even if they are not millennials. It is all now based on the conversation context to understand what people mean. For instance, un fass is clearly younger ( the way they express in their comment)and could be from the current-gen z generation who refer anyone older or with contradicting to be boomers even if the real context of the word doesn't make sense. The word boomer now has more expanded meaning and other slang terms in the new current generation vocabulary and way of usage.
fandoms have always been toxic, this problem has been going on for decades with each and every fad and trend with celebrities. When old fandoms die down and calm down, new ones will appear with new fresh, and high-energy manifestations. It's a cycle. Besides the current K-pop fandom is no better than the past generation when you look into the events and problems of the era and before that. !st gen k-popper may see it calmer or less tense due to the lack of international and commercial involvement at the time. At least the fandoms now are active.
Anti fans are literally bullies pushing self harm. Don't like someone just stfu and listen to someone else. They rumored to date someone u like? U never stood a chance anyways. Your behavior would turn off the people you like, love. The same people anti fans love and admire have their own anti fans, so there's 0 chance they'd like you if you're an anti fan of anyone because of their experiences with anti fans themselves.
I was introduced to Baby Vox by a korean friend back in 1999/2000. They were amazing people.
I loved KARA, and look what her ex had helped push Goo Hara to do...along with many others who take their own....because of online bullying and harassment... breaks my heart. 💔

I used to watch Baby Vox on Channel V and I also used to envy them. I had no idea that they were plagued with such unfair and dangerous situations as I am from the Philippines. It's sad that there are antis and sasaengs in every generation of idols. I think they should be held accountable even if they are minors, too.
