How Momoland ended up is a tragedy. They were being ridiculed & witchhunted by Kpop fans for everything they did while being mismanaged by their company to the point of never being paid despite the amount of work they did. Momoland deserves an apology by not only MLD Entertainment but also by the members of the Kpop community that shunned them.

Momoland was screwed over their company the most. Other groups like Twice also received lots of hate, but atleast their company was not as trash as Momoland’s company.

You can't blame the fans for criticizing everything they did, the members were getting involved in controversies after controversies.
@NCT Dream OT4 forever Of course not, but a lot of drama stemmed from clips and videos that fans took out of context to fit their own narrative of Momoland being rude, mean and disrespectful to their favorite groups (mainly BTS and BLACKPINK, among others). It's the same thing that people are now doing to not only Wonyoung, but IVE as a whole.
I remember their intervju when they said they all developed social anxiety and every time they were mentioned in headlines they were terrified of another scandal. They didn't deserve this and it's so sad to see groups like this get ruined by netizens who honestly don't know what they're talking about. I had the absolute privilege of seeing them live when they visited Norway and they were an absolute delight, trying so hard to interact with fans and even saying "I love you" in Norwegian! I wish them all the very best and will continue to cheer for them in the future. Momoland fighting!

Momoland is still iconic. They made a LASTING mark on kpop. Bboom Bboom and Baam were songs that were nonstop in the kpop community during the iconic summer of 2019, and the songs and dances are still done at RDPs, and played at kpop events everywhere. I hope the girls know that even though Momoland is gone, they still made their marks 🩷

Yeah they’re just like Loona in terms of 3rd gen. And lots of 2nd gen GGs had similar cases as well.
Jooe was my bias, she was always so pretty to look at. I hope she succeeds in queendom puzzle.

Momoland was a group I had a lot of firsts with the first physical album I ever bought (Starry Night), the first light stick I ever bought, the first Kpop concert I ever attended (2020 charity concert) and the list goes on I can remember staying up til 2 a.m. some nights for members birthday live streams back when Vlive was still active (feels weird saying that in past tense).
Momoland was the group that got me thru the Pandemic lockdown in 2020 as a frontline worker at the time I had very little human contact due to public health protocols at the time and my work in a grocery store. So those Vlives or occasional Instagram live were great since I couldn't really connect with my friends or family.
It's been said before but Momoland was a group that never really was allowed to grow by the label they were all signed to I can remember interviews where the members would say they would love to try a concept similar to Apink and well that never happened.
At the end of the day even though I was only there from Thumbs up til the group's disbandment. I have so many cherished memories with the group and I'm happy to have had those experiences.
Still, I'm not someone who once a group has disbanded still holds onto physical reminders as I think the memories are most precious not the merchandise or souvenirs.
My time as a Merry-Go-Round was something special to me and Merries were very often the sword, shield, and staff for the group and that was a good thing as a fandom we were what a fandom ought to be. From encouraging Ahin when Antis attacked her and the group and she encouraged us saying she was a strong person but welcomed and appreciated our support. To how Merries, as well as Onces (one of the reasons I'll never think Kpop fandom is all bad because fandoms will do what is right when the time comes), protected Nancy after she had her privacy violated and that whole Deep Fake AI pornography scandal happened.
So with those memories, I'm happy still gladly supporting my other main group (Oh My Girl) happily as well.

the fact that mld would be no where without momoland. they literally renamed the company to MLD. its so sad how horribly they treated momoland. the girls were hated for everything by fans and weren’t protected. they weren’t paid even though bboom bboom was a huge hit
MOMOLAND brought me back to K-Pop (I was a Gen-1 fan, Shinhwa, Baby VOX, H.O.T.) singlehandedly. I am gonna miss them and the way MLD mismanaged them was unbelievable. I hope the girls find success after leaving the agency and the group.
One of my favorite things the group did were the English language fan videos from Daisy, Ahin and Nancy. It was always well organized and interesting, much like Sorn's Produsorn series. It was superior to a lot of others but stopped when Daisy left.

Oh heck yeah. When Cherry bullet debuted in Fnc Ent 4 years ago as the 2nd gg after AOA many thought they would be the next Snsd or twice of 4th gen but sadly they just became known as the Q&A girls or group who lost 3 members.

i was there on MOMOLAND's final group performance on Ripples for Hope concert in Manila. i missed them so much because its been 3 years since i saw them in person. i'm glad that they are finally free.
At least Daisy finally got some good news. I hope the company goes back to making some of my fav tracks and stays out of management.
Besides the absurd hate the the group garnered, and the disgusting management, the song I'm so hot was not good. The producers kept holding on to a similar vibe and the jazzy, saxophone sound from Bboom Bboom and Bam Bam. By the time the song was released the sound was worn out for not only them but the Kpop genre in general (Thumbs up was good but again sounded similar to their past two songs). The producers and the company as a whole were too scared to branch out into a new sound because they felt it could hurt the money. But that decision only hurt the group more in slew of the hate train and the confessions of ex-members. It's a tragic situation that the girls went through, so I'm glad the girls are happier now, I hope they continue to grow in their desired careers and even stay friends into the future. MLD can rot.

JooE had my heart, and I'm really mad at how MLD Ent. handled them. They deserved better, especially Daisy, Taeha and Yeonwoo.

Thank you for this documentary. I started listening to kpop when I worked from home during the pandemic and Momoland was the first group I got into (and that was through dance covers by Chinese dancers on UA-cam).
Momoland was one of the first groups I listened of the 3rd generation, the generation where I really got into kpop
I still follow some of their activities, and I wish all of them well
also I always hope for small reunion activities, I think they deserve those sweet moments.
Thank you so much for this and the update on the members activities post disbandment. I loved Momoland so much. It just shocked me so much now badly they were treated by the criminals that call themselves an agency!
I've been an avid Merry since discovering them by accidentally clicking on their Bboom Bboom teaser on my subscriptions tab. It was bittersweet to rewatch their history as I remember watching these events unfold in real time because they deserved so much better not just by their company, but the kpop community as well.

I was in Korea when they debuted and saw their debut stage live on M!countdown. Since then I watched them as a proud mother❤
Momoland was one of the first kpop girl groups I knew and stanned when I got into kpop, I was obsessed with their songs around 2020 and after I stanned more groups they faded into the background, but I never forgot them and was always exited for comebacks or any new music they put out. They deserved way better and I hope they're all doing well now and I hope JooE can make into the queendom puzzle group
I saw momoland at KAMP LA and they were one of the highlights! It's too bad they never toured in the US

I've only ever heard Momoland's Bboom Bboom and Baam, but watching this video, their earlier comebacks, outfits, and title tracks sound way more my style. Shame their company, antis, and such ruined them.

I love Momoland so much. I came across by mistake with Freeze music video because of the dude in the video but the song is so good so I became a fan of them. I became in love with Nancy beauty and Jooe personality later on. When I was surprised that Daisy spoke out. I didn't want to believe at first but there are good points with rigged shows before. And Jooe work more than the other members and they didn't got paid. That reminds me of Loona of they didn't got paid as well and Chuu work the most than the other members because of her popularly as well. The same reason that they have in common of the company work them a lot and I love both groups but there are limits of working as an idols. I hope the members of Momoland are doing well for themselves.

Momoland was the gateway into kpop for us. Came across wmip via feed and fell in love with them. Jane being the bias. From there saw a few performances and noticed Hyebins personality shine and promptly added to bias. Now a few years later and only just starting on the kpop train but consider self to be a total fan. This video though shows a different side of Jooe and have a respect for the way she has fought for others in the group. Thank you Momoland for the introduction to the most colourful, bright and happy place of kpop. Am sad you never got the same.

I think Momoland caught a wave of hate because small groups coming to the fore all at once weren't as common as they are now. EXID managed to escape, but Momoland didn't, which is a real shame.
it's sad how they lost everything bc is mismanagement, this shows how choosing the right company can really affect the idol's future, since they are the ones who manage you since the day u are a part of the company.

Same thing happened with SNSD and Gee Gee. A few members (especially Taeyeon) didn't like it and yet it was one of their first songs to give them a huge boost both in Korea and internationally.

21:50 There's another song that "Bboom Bboom" copied (or isn't)... It was EXID's "Are You Hungry?" (Hyerin and Jeonghwa solo). If you listen to the song intro, they were the same as the intro of "Bboom Bboom".
EXID's "Are You Hungry?" was composed by Shinsadong Tiger, who composed "Bboom Bboom".
I can only imagine where they would be now if they were in a company that managed them correctly. It really sucks how screwed up their situation was.
Momoland was actually the first K-Pop group I ever got into. I still listen to their music even after disbanding, with my favorite songs being Welcome to Momoland, Uh-Gi-Yeo-Cha, Orgel, Holiday, and and Light Up.

I've been a MerryGoRound since 2019, and they will forever be my ult group. They are like home to me. I was obviously upset about their disbandment, but I'm also happy they're finally out of the shit-show of a company that is MLD entertainment. I think my 2 favorite memories are their LieV episode, and the time Nancy responded to my question on an instagram live where I said "can we get a 'happy pride month'" with 'of COURSE! happy pride month to everyone!!!" Love to all of them, always

And I feel so sorry for their newer groups especially Lapillus with their member Chanty (TFN as well & I’m a little worried on their yet to debut global Filipino boy group Hor7ion who MLD co owns and they had a survival show last year)
Momoland really got no love from the public and the company managing them. The only one who was giving them love was their fans and family. The world really needs to apologize to Momoland.
Momoland was my first kpop love. I had been listening previously obviously, but no groups really stuck until Momoland. Whatever it is that people feel about Boom Boom and Baam, they ultimately did make it a gateway for people like me to permanently entered into the other fandoms. And they did contribute to the overall success of the industry.
As much as i feel for her (and the rest of the members ofc) for the hardships theyve been through, daisys live still rubs me the wrong way a lil bit, like girl you did ALL OF THAT on the first week of mmlds comeback and then act surprised when u got fired?? Hii would it be possible for you to talk about the first gen KPOP group M.I.L.K.? They used to be popular in Korea in the early 2000s especially their songs come to me (which gets covered till this day) and Crystal. However they disbanded very quickly.

Please do a video about the fall of victon.. they were such a talented group but their company really messed them up after pdx.. they divided the fandom and basically didn’t even try to get them to reach new goals. They didn’t even give victon a global tour int he peak of their popularity which was in 2019-2021 which makes me question of the company ever believe in them from the start…
