- Here are 5 happy chaos combos in guilty gear strive that you can use as a new player.
I explain them slow so they are easy to pick up.
These will help give you a game plan for your matches and some technical skill.

As a new player this video was spaced very well! cutting parts of the combo into sections. helped my lil small brain understand(and get muscle memory to kick in). if you added time stamps of the combos that would make this video even better then it already is! Thank you!!

It also made me want to experiment a bit, i don't know how good this is, but one combo i found and i feel it's pretty easy is air dash > 2K > 5S > 2D > 236S > C.S > 6S > H > H > Deus Ex Machina

Yeah man that's a good combo, i'm glad you're trying stuff out. My recommendation is to use two stead shots (2,1,4,S) instead of the double normal shots, as you can reload bullets after each shot, helping with some bullet conservation.

Hmmm I’ve only ever played Mortal Kombat, I’d say I’m average at it. I bought Guilty Gear for two reasons. For the sound track, and because I think Happy Chaos’s character design is insanely cool. This video is very helpful I still feel like I may have bitten off more than I can chew just getting this game and trying to learn this character lol.

Hello, I've been practicing all your combos for a while now, and everything works great except the 5th combo, I seem to run out of focus way before you do in the video. Is it still possible or has a patch killed that combo? Great video btw :)
focus got nerfed, you may have to change the combo to use a focus inbetween or use meter
Although I appreciate you for making easier combos, most of these combos I do not recommend. It takes too much focus and bullets to execute. The moment you're in neutral, you're at a huge disadvantage already. Chaos is an execution character and going for an easier way out is detrimental. It took me a couple 30-0 from my friends (me having 0 wins), just to learn the damn character.
I'd agree that the roll combos are too far from optimal to really be worth it in a lot of scenarios, but just learning these as a way to have *a* conversion from stray hits in your pressure is a good stepping stone to start learning the character without getting discouraged. Long term, none of these should become habits though. You can learn the combos in this video basically while it's playing, or even just from watching the clips at the beginning if you have experience learning tech characters before and are familiar with HC's buttons, so it's not like the investment is too high.
tbh they look very easy for any kind of newbie, the onyl thing id like him to add was that i was necessary some timing, specially the 236s 6h into 6k part stuff, one of the combos i had the hardest time was the "uno reverse" one due the roll being incredibly frustating, i dont have baiken so idk if its character specific to be easy, i did sometimes on ky tho
world would be really better if combos were explained like this lmao

I’m having trouble hitting the side y right after the shot, the part where he punches into the wall, it’s because they end up too far away, is this a timing issue or do I have to dash cancel?

Is there some trick to getting the height on the air dash right, or do I just need to try it until it becomes natural?
The height is just a normal jump with the dash at the apex of the height. If you’re talking about the distance needed to land on top of them, the way I learnt it was by playing on the stage called “L'oro Di Illyria” and starting on the left side of the screen. There’s a rug on the floor and if you place the opponent at the end of it, and you stand as close to the left corner as possible, that’s the correct distance for the jump dash.

Kind of a stupid question, but I'm able to do everything, except the 2K into S. And when I do, (I put the training bot on block after first hit) the bot just blocks it. Any tips on landing it, and can the opponent 𝓫𝓵𝓸𝓬𝓴 it?
Nah this is a great question. I found I was getting blocked after the 2K as well. The way I stop this now is by using the bullets as a sort of link. To keep the pressure going and stop people blocking, you have to fill those gaps with a shot. This is kinda hard to explain but I will try my best.
So after you hit the 2K, you want to instantly hold HS to pull out the gun, then let go of the button just after, to fire the shot, then 2HS to put the gun away>S>2D>236s

i'm having trouble to jump, dash, 2.K, mid-air.S, the opponent always have time to defend the mid-air.S :(
How come whenever I try to do these combos my 2D -> 236S launches them diagonally away from me, messing up the combo. Where as when you do it they get launched pretty much vertically?
Yo, I've been trying to replicate the diagonal thing you're talking about and here is what I've concluded. In GG each character has a weight class, "light, medium, heavy, super heavy" and this determines things like how long someone stays in the air for. For example, I tried the combo with Bridget (light) and Potemkin (Heavy). Bridget is much lighter so she flew further and more diagonally whilst Potemkin falls pretty quick. I don't know which character you are practicing this on but the issue you're having may be because of this. Try adjusting timings of your first shot, to make up for this, if you are playing against a light character. The only other thing I can think of is when I finish my "236s", I don't let go of 6 as this lets me stay underneath them, so maybe this is the issue. Otherwise I'm not too sure. If you want to upload a clip of what you're doing and then tag me in it, i'm happy to look and see what's going on. Anyway, let me know if any of this works :))

Its not a mod. It's the 10th color for HC. Maybe you don't have the DLC that gives season 1 characters extra colors?

the third combo is still viable?, they shortened his dash in last patch and i end up in front of him instead of the back
Yeh I found that as well, the new way to do it is.
2D > 236S > 5K > 214K > H > Cs > H
did any of these combo's change with the season 3 patch or should they all still work?
They all still work the same and are in fact easier with the simpler input after you use 236s

@@blxckstrrr so when HC is using steady shot (214s), before, in order to cancel out of it to roll (214k) or reload (22p) you’d have to put that full input in. Now, when in steady shot, you can use the new shorter inputs, so roll is now (4k) and reload is (2p). Makes it a lot easier
Does the first combo still work with the new patch ?
Yes it does
question for the first combo. What is the timing on the 236.S, 6.H,6.K. Because when I do it the 6.K always misses. should i let opponent drop lower before I 6H, or am I meant to delay the 6.K? And second: on the very rare occasion that I do hit the thing i said i struggled with after I 6H again after 6K the opponent flys too far away for my 6.S to hit them, what am I doing wrong?
You have to dash into the 6k after using 6.H for the first time.
After trying few things i think it's because you take too much Time to cancel thé 2D with 236S if you do it fast enough they will go straight UP and you'll be able to connect
