I loved the show until the end when I got so angry. The white boy skips home to his wonderful life (he wasn't even taken; he chose to leave) vs. the black boy’s horrific death. How could the show end like that? WTF?!?!

That's sadly the reality of this life. It's good any child gets to go home, but often times missing black kids with police corruption involved will NOT be solved and the judges certainly wouldn't side with the black boy.
At least Marlon's mother is getting the closure she finally deserves, though I found it unrealistic that a grown woman would drown while a child would survive (completely dry and clean btw) drains like that

Tell me why I told someone I give it a 6.5/10 😂 you said everything I was thinking! I was looking for a well rounded review, especially in regards to the race and sexuality complements of this series, and you gave me exactly that!

Benedict Cumberbatch stole the show tbh. He deserves awards for that master class performance. Also I completely disagree about him playing the “same character”. Sherlock , Alan Turing, Phil Burbanks, Vincent, Stephen Strange might all be smart and some what rude but that’s all where the surface level similarities end. The mannerisms are completely different. Their weakness, how they conduct themselves and behave and everything else in between is completely different. The Rock and Tom Cruise play way more alike characters than Benedict. Also Patrick Melrose, Louis Wain, Greville Wynne, Alexander Masters and Patrick Watts are also characters he played that aren’t smart/rude.

I watched the first two episodes and was bored. At this point, I just want to hear how it ended

The show started strong but midway it started to dip. Vincent was plain irritating by the end but there were great performances throughout

its the epitome of trying to cram too many plots into one series.....odd & boring.

Omg, I'm glad I didnt watch this. I heard, it was inspired/about the creator of Sesame Street and I was expecting a lighthearted and inspiring story.

Given the subject matter, I was surprised to fid that this show was super boring. I barely got past episode 1. I love Cumberbatch but he was given a very unsympathetic character with little depth to offer a viewer to endear us to him. No one knows how they will act in this situation, but I couldn't help but think the entire time, "Wow, this guy is just an ass." And I don't care what anyone says, the whole thing was his fault. What kind of man won't walk his 9 yo son to school?! An ass, that's who.

it’s a bad poorly written show with a record level of every cliches stitched together in an undercooked messy story where I actually wanted characters to suffer by the end. This and TD Night Country are the creme de la creme of tasteless filmmaking.
