I see so many YTers turning upside down to get blocks in on the bottom. If you press 'B' twice to change block placement to 'Align to local grid' you don't have to do all that. The only annoying thing is it doesn't set the alignment mode as default, each time you pick/switch a block to place you need to reset to 'Align to local grid'. Not that much quicker I suppose but handy if you're out of (or low on) H2 for your jetpack.
Thank you for the tip. Despite using 'align to local grid' from time to time, i hadn ever considered using it for that purpose. I always enjoy learning new tricks after all the time I have spent playing SE.
