Both Chester and the The Wildflowers 😍😍😍. I loved the leaves above the fence and the shadow of the fence too. Love it when you talk about how and why you chose the colours that you do. Waiting for next Monday.
Hi! Both pieces are just so beautiful! What a amazing artist you are! I can tell you everyday and it still wouldn’t be enough. Love your work and teaching, thank you again so much for sharing!♥️♥️♥️
The wildflower piece is one of my favorites!! Turned out so beautifully! As did Chester! I enjoyed watching you prep the mandellas (spelling?) man, that had to be time consuming!! Great video!! Thanks so much!!
Chester & the flower garden are both just amazing! Loved the demo on adjusting the wheel on your nippers (& the oven mitt tip). I think maybe you had your ceiling fan on & it made your pieces look like they were sparkling - very cool!
Great video! So immensely satisfying seeing you finish and grout the pieces... can't imagine how much more satisfying it was for you XD! Checked 3 times before video was up today! Becoming addicted to these monday morning videos. Chester looks great! The fence looks awesome after grouted and I love how that one sunflower sticks out more than rest. So much work into mandalas! Loved your color selection process, "I'm not crazy!" Says lady with the leafy vs fiery mandalas on the ground. Quite funny, glad the artistic process is the same for everyone and I was actually glad you changed the leaf one to green. Would be cool if you did a leaf one red and orange for fall foliage too though. 🤔 loving it! Can't waaaait to see what new projects you come up with this week.... no pressure!
I've just started my glass journey. You have inspired me! Might I ask a question, if you don't mind...what kind of glue do you use to adhere the glass to the picture? Thank you. Your work is beautiful!
Julie I can spend all day watching your videos. I am always intrigued with each piece you do. I have a question. On the garden project, you glued a photo onto your substrate. When you do this, does the photo ever cause the tesserae to come loose? This is something I'd like to try but worry the photo will bubble and cause a problem even when sealed. Thank you for all the details you share on your videos. You're awesome! 🌹
Thank you Judith! It can be a problem if the paper is not fully adhered to the substrate as it cannot support the weight. So it pays to be diligent when adhering to make sure it is a permanent bond without bubbles.
I love watching your videos and wondering how you were able to get your patterns big enough to transfer to your substrates and what are you using for your substrates?
I made the design on my laptop and brought the file to my local blueprint shop. They have 36" wide (I think) paper they can xerox it onto. It is pretty inexpensive. I waited while they printed them and it took about 10-15 minutes.
@@mazzonimosaics8222 thank you, I have a couple pattern but am struggling to get it the right size, when I took it to have it enlarged I couldn’t tell them how much to enlarge and the woman wasn’t able to figure it out either. I’ll eventually get it worked out. Thanks again. 🤩
I love watching your videos and was wondering how you’re able to get your patterns large enough to put on your substrates and also how are you or what are you using for your substrates I wanna do my mandala but I can’t get one the size that I need to put onto my substrate?
I used Wedi Board with alkali resistant fiberglass mesh wrapped edges and a skin coat of thinset. I show the process in this video: ua-cam.com/video/xUo4U79bfYU/v-deo.html
Loved the tip of the thin strips of glass layed on their side and trapezoid shaped leaves. 💕
Thanks for watching!
Hello. I love both finished pieces and I'm sure the mandalas will turn out as great as all of your pieces. Thanks for sharing. Grazie ☺️
Thank you! 😊
I love watching you work!!
Thank you so much! 😊
I just love those little tiles you purchased for the edges!
Me too!! Glad you like them!
I’m hooked! You are amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Ha! There's a tip: Make sure ceiling fan is on for extra sparkle.

It really depends on the project and the application. Check the video description if I don't mention it in the video, I try to put all the info there.

@@mazzonimosaics8222 Thanks Julie! I think I'll try a small practice piece first to see what goes right and what goes wrong! 🤣

I prep the substrates in this video: Ep. ua-cam.com/video/xUo4U79bfYU/v-deo.html
Is this a wooden substrate?

What is the substrate for the mandalas?
Wedi board with a skim coat of thinset.
