This is one of the few times in my life where the word "awesome" seems inadequate to its task. (No surprise that it would be Band Maid that would bring this circumstance about).

I'm glad they released an official live video of this. Last summer in Minneapolis, I was lucky enough to be right at the front rail (about 8 feet from them) to witness this magnificence.

It wasn't until seeing and hearing HATE? live in MSP last year that I "got it" - this is a top-tier BAND-MAID song. Of course, this being BAND-MAID, just 3 months later in Yokohama, the performance is twice as good.
The more I listen to Kanami and Misa's play, not just in their solos, the more I am impressed by the role of Akane and Miku. Miku's rhythm guitar, in particular, seems to stand out in this song 🙂. Thanks for sharing!

I will have to spend the afternoon guiding reporters through the Shizuoka mountain tea fields in the afternoon, so I needed that reaction of yours to put some juice into my body! LOL There is an expression in Japanese, "moo soto ni arukenaku nattane/もう外に歩けなくなったね", literally meaning "someone will not be able any more to take a walk outside"... Saiki's lyrics (I doubt Miku could be so nasty, lol) about the husband (probably disappeared from society now) of Lisa, a famous singer, Saiki's friend, who showed utter human disregard when he cheated on her during the Covid hiatus, of all times. The lyrics go as far as attacking his (lack of) virility, the supreme insult that will stick on his face forever. As a "man" in Japanese society he is basically finished. Now, this live version of Hate? is definitely the best so far and it only suggests what is next about to come! The next official live videos could well be Influencer, Brightest Star and Magie. Pity we do know nothing about Go Easy. This series of live videos is not only a tool for posterity but a very intelligent ploy to make us patiently wait until their next album! for not english speak country only , I guess. You guys are so usual that songs are in your native language, than when there isn't one , you are go quick for subtitles. For the rest of us , there isnt sub , and most of the time dont even know what the lyrics are and you listen a song for instrumental , music , beat or a good singer voice. @@RyanMear
