I watched this and then I watched them at Lollapaluza. One of the best live performances I have ever seen...and I'm going back almost 50 years for the others.
I could try to string a whole bunch of superlatives together...but I'm going with just one.

Life is worth living with this band in the world.
So. I saw them on Saturday in Spokane with five friends. It was amazing. My friends who go to concerts a lot didn’t want it to end. And one friend who wasn’t impressed by hearing the songs to the concert changed her mind after hearing them in concert. Gonna have to start a travel/concert fund to get tickets to the foreign bands that too my lists to watch.
Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things. They ladies have perfected their own sound, you instantly know it's Band-Maid. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 1 for each of the Maids, they deserve it.
How they manage to get all this stuff done while also touring for like 2 years straight is incredible to me. They are dedicated to the craft like none other. An incredible song and I like the message of the lyrics.

Love the relentless attack of this song, just no let up from start to finish. Saiki mentions the word "Shura" which is defined as 'a situation of endless and brutal fighting', which sums this whole experience up very well!
Akane simply went off!!! The main drum sections sounded like Back to back fills. She’s ear candy. No need to mention MISA… Goddess of bass. ❤
They have to be one of the hardest working bands. Intensive touring this year and still manages to create a new song and a video.
Band-Maid is something special. Absolutely no other band can do what they do.

Really enjoy the heaviness, and once again they make a bridge that just elevates the entire song. Its probably their most underrated talent. Most bridges are just meandering filler; Kanami writes something that deserves its own song or changes it up in an entirely new and exciting way. No filler for this band.

What an insane behemot of a song, so heavy and thunderous (thanks Akane for another masterclass on drumming) yet so catchy and, as you said, beautiful in a way. Band-Maid are on their own league since 2016 and nobody can touch them... redefining hard rock song after song!

Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘

About to see them live for the third time. They are just life changing. I've seen many of the greats in their time (Purple, Sabbath, Queen, many more) and the Maids, live can stand on the stage with any of them.

Beloved little genius Kanami deserves the title ' fast hand' - those flying fingers so perfectly accurate. Brilliant composition and arrangement in every respect and everyone performing at another level. The most talented and best performing band in the world by a country mile.

Kanami, sweet and wild as ever. I was struck by the fact that her solo was a pure continuation of the whole song. What does she have in her sleeve for the coming album.
Miku is busier than usual at her guitar, demonstrating her continuing progress. Her vocals and harmonizing deeper than usual...
Saiki is in her "Influencer mode". She will break many a heart with her adult and cheeky attitude. She is a woman, full stop!
Some infantile purist band Maid fans will be shocked! This is raw rock/metal, but so harmonious and so complicated it took me four listenings before grasping most of it!

Akane must have needed 2 bananas after that display of continuous drum fills. She hardly sat in a pocket for the whole song. I don't know how she can play like that. Her little arms are just like knots on cotton. But she was in full gorilla mode for this one.
And Misa was right there with her on the bass. They laid down such a foundation for the whole song.

Awesome mix of their older and newer styles. Us Maidiacs will have the context of all of their previous work, and being familiar with the Maids' musical vocabulary will lap this up; we have been trained as we have heard the ladies develop their sound! 😁 . Consider those new to the band though who hear this as their first BAND-MAID song; it may be a bit overwhelming, so much unexpected interesting stuff and different styles going on at the same time... 😵💫

Hey Ryan. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Band-Maid air Shambles live on the upcoming US dates or at Yokohama Arena in November. No doubt they'll end up filming that show for yet another DVD/Blu-Ray release, most likely next year. Happy to hear that you'll be catching them live yet again during their next run of dates on your side of the pond. Watched it earlier and and although it really rocks I thought it had a real smoothness to the flow.
This isn't my first listen. Maybe my 6th? I liked it the first time, especially that freakin' riff. It's growing on me even more though.
