Thank you for your videos...have recently discovered them and have been enjoying the scenery and stories.....it's baking hot here in Australia at present....love the snow shots!
Quite a few reservoirs up there, Blackstone Edge Res, White Holme Res, Light Hazzles Res and Warland Res. I think all these were constructed by Rochdale Corporation Water Works as it was known then. An elevated but flat section of the Pennine Way that straddles the Yorkshire Lancashire border.
This looks - terrifying to me 😢. I have a fear of flat still water, especially combined with steep hills/mountains guess what I'm not planning on a holiday in the lake district 😱😱😂
Warland Res was built by the Rochdale Canal Company ( RC) the letters you mention but the dates on the stones dont add up as it was built in 1857. Abit confusing..
Hey fella, subscribed to your channel a while back, slowly making my way through them. I'm intrigued with the music you often use as it usually works really well. Who's music do you normally use? I've tried looking but I can't see any mention. I say intrigued because I bet a lot of the music you do use would make a pretty decent 'compilation'?
Thanks. A lot of it is just public domain music and sadly without a name. I use a couple of pieces quite often..... it just came from searching for music after getting copyrighted before. I've probably not explained that very well....but, thanks, a lot of people seem to appreciate the music 😊
Both eerie and soothing at the same time, wonderful.
😊. Glad you enjoyed watching
That music is perfect for the video, thanks so much!
Cheers 😊

Whoah, its windy and cold up there in the Summer. Do be careful.
All good...I know the paths, and, just for once, i behaved myself and stayed on them 😁

Was it like that only around the reservoirs or was it that foggy on your journey to get there? Driving in that is a nightmare!
It was like this on the roads on top of the hill, but dropping down into the valley it cleared up 🙂
It's Littleborough not ripponden.
I'll change it...... wasn't sure with it being at the top of the hill
