Beautiful horse and it’s really nice that she’s part of your Grandpa’s heritage of horses. Maybe she should be named Legacy??

A beautiful horse! The family connection must be especially satisfying, following in Bekah's great-grandfather's steps.

thank you so much! i've been searching videos on how to better break my foal and every video i see is catching and holding down the horse and slapping a halter on and calling it good, there is no niceness like what i'm looking for. so thank you.

      Blue Flame Cosplay.
I'm not knocking anything from JR, but if you want to see something unsusal but looks great to me check out Perille Tube. Famous horse trainers. Check out his foal training. He has a playground like for kids, BUT IT'S FOR FOALS TO START TRAINING THEM USING THEIR NATURAL CURIOSITY.
      He uses natural training too.

Very good! I enjoy your slow, gentle approach to training horses. I always think of my dad as he enjoyed horses and used a similar, gentle approach!

Note about title: this 2 1/2 year old is not an adult horse, it is a baby. This nice filly (as he rightly refers to her) will be a mare when she turns 4. Nice & fun video. Hoping all's gone great with her.

True. I should probably change it. At this point we were very new to making videos and titles. Lots of mistakes. Thank you for pointing it out. I think we were trying to get across that it wasn’t a “foal” but a “full size” horse.

I noticed that when Bekah was leaning against the round pen fence and the horse was real close to her that Bekah was NOT making eye contact, that she appeared to be averting her eyes. I saw your friend Gregg do that too with the gray mare. He bent his head down slightly when facing her. I think that I understand why this was done but I would appreciate your addressing that behavior, its purpose. Thank you.😊

I love this!!! My colt is 14 months old. He looks and acts exactly like your horse! I will try this! We have had a rough past 7 months and somehow I didn't get him halter broke!

JR. You really got me interested in horses with Oliver. I have been watching since you first saw him at the auction.
I have been watching a lot of other channels to learn more, & I
really like the gentle way you train & handle your horses. I have seen a few that use gentle methods & others that seems to use fear or punishment to train.
Have you heard of Pat Perille ? You seem to train a lot like him.
He has a huge playground for foals at his ranch to teach them using curiosity to train them. It's like a playground for kids but made for horses to get them used to things in the environment that they might seem that would scare them.

First bonding when a horse smells yr breath do you ONLY breath normally or can you blow out more air through yr mouth? Just wonderin'😊

Looks good. Your dad talks about not doing much with horses, but I believe I saw a video where he was showing a horse, is that correct or am I confused.
