    What a major shame, the search continues for a suitable replacement for TG-PP10.
    Stupid T-Global should have never cancelled PP10.

    I am checking out two thermal puttys, 3ks-nj1500 10w/m.k and another N-1000 10w/m.k both electrically non conductive. While the 2nd one is similar to tg-pp-10 in its physical appearance. Both found on alibab while searching for thermal putty alternatives.

      Excellent. Let us know how well they work. Perhaps I'll have to buy some and test it out. I've got some Penchem putties arriving soon and will test them out and post results.

      @@shreyasshetty9869 thanks. Yeah, I've got TH855, TH930, and TH949 on the way. Penchem products are starting to be added to Digikey which makes them accessible for small quantities (1kg or less).

    I have a question what if you where to mix Diamond powder and thermal putty together would that increase your thermal conductivity ?

    • @snarksdomain
      @snarksdomain  2 роки тому +1

      Although I haven't done that yet, I very much believe it would. You can buy 50 carats for around $30-$50. 50 Carats = 10 grams. Diamond is 3.51 g/cm3, so would be 2.85 cm3 (or 2.85 ml, 0.57 of a teaspoon).
      I'll hopefully get some 50,000 or 100,000 grit at some point to play with.

    Am I glad i didn't rush to order it? Yes I am!!! I'm going to order some Jeyi and K5. I don't see any other available options and im kind of tired looking for a replacement putty. :(

      I'm very hopeful about Penchem TH930, TH855-1, and TH949-1. They even state "Strong Electrical Insulator".
      But currently I can't order them directly from Canada. I may need to do a package forwarding thing to get some.

    hi. i want to know that upsiren pro putty is safe for using vga. (electrically isolated?) i've bought it today and never used before. so i don't know the quantity of putty that i should paste😅

      Upsiren U6 and UX putties are isolating. Safe to use on VGA.
      TG-NSP80 is still unsafe.

    DigiKey has TG-A7000 listed as a substitute. That’s the next one I’m going to try. Wish I coulda found a non silicone substitute.
