This is one of my Favorites of Junior's. However, I also agree with Junior when he said Jimmie Johnson's car was competitively as good as his own. I kept noticing how Jeff Gordon had a number of opportunities to bump draft Jimmie's car based on the fact it was obviously much faster then his own, and yet Jeff seemed to be more concerned with his own position rather then assisting his then "rookie" team mate. Hell, if you see that your car can't compete to win, then at least help your team mate and owner to get the win, whether he's a rookie or not!
That was the only thing I never liked about Gordon. he was never a good teammate.and usually would wine if you pushed him..awesome career tho.I also think that was the main reason 88/48 was put in same garage. they're probably the best teammates out there n nascar

But Junior is also one of the best "skilled" Drivers around. And yes, thankfully he still has a few years to go yet. :-)
+Matthew Mcdade lol. Not. The only reason jr went to the same building with Johnson was because Gordon wanted to work with Alan Gustafson so he took the old 5 team which became the 24 and jr took over the old 24 with Steve... Gordon was the top dog and made that choice. Jr should be thankful it was able to happen. He was horrible at Hendrick before the teams switched.
32:20 - Why are the DEI cars so good? Carroll Smith revealed it's because they've assembled a driveline that has about 6-8% less rotational drag than other teams. That translates to an advantage of roughly 20-40 hp, maybe more. Knowing this, it should come as no surprise they were always out front at plate tracks!
Just for the record before the we annihilated the lead change record, that did not occur in May 1994, it was May 1984. Since those records that you see, the only two that have not changed are the fastest race, and of course the qualifying speed. -The most lead changes is now 88 (April 2010 and April 2011). -Most leaders is now 29 (April 2010) -Closest margin of victory is 0.002 of a second (April 2011 Johnson over Bowyer).
