That's an interesting idea when using one input and selecting two channels. It allows us to choose one or the other later in post and then apply the preferred sensitivity to both channels.
I was kind of hoping you were going to get into the internal audio camera settings, somehow interface with these external controls. Look around a little more!
I have a Yamaha Mg10xu mixer which has 2 audio outputs L & R channel, if I use both camera channels simultaneously for audio input will it increase the sound quality?
Uh so basically if I have one xlr plugged in to input 1 i can switch to chnl 1/2 and if not then i switch to chnl 1. Because if i have 1 xlr plugged in to input one with input 1 set to chnl 1 then ill get audio thru channel 1 only which il have to then have to copy to channel 2 in editting or matrixed to channel 2 in live production.
It's confusing because of the wording on Camcorder. Look closely, on the bottom of the selector switch. It says input one, so the switch is referring to input one, not input one and two, the selector is referring to input one. Inputs are external connections, Channels are the recorded place on the track. So input one is recording either to Channel one or Channel one and two.
What should be set in the channel panel if I want to record sound through a mixer using an xlr cable? what to choose between 0db att, -10 db, -20db and the input is line, mic, or +48v mic, please help to answer
I had the Deity mic the one that you can control the audio can you tell me a little bit about that mic with the Sony z90 and also have a handheld wireless mic
Great thanks! Your tutorial is pretty useful! 😊 I have subscribed to your channel.
I was so confused about the input 1 settings, but your explanation finally helps it make sense - thanks!
You should use both channels, with one of the dials slightly below 5 & the other slightly above 5.

That was fantastically explained and to the point. Thanks.
You explained this very well!
Thank you. Two words that are simple to say but not said enough.
very informative!Thx!should I turn off phantom power when using a wired handheld mic or is it ok to still use it?

Well done, but you didn't mention the mic input on the right side of the camera body by the handle
Check this 1:02 - you must have overlooked it.
Great video
Great tutorial, super clear and understandable!
If I plug 3.5 mic do I switch to mic line or mic +48 ? And if I plug XLR do I switch to mic +48V ?
Thank you! keep up the good work!

Most often, you'd select LINE and 0 ATT. Sometimes though, you need to select MIC and adjust ATT to either -10 or -20.
@@cmactv thank you for your answer
to the point
What steromicroph would be great for the Sony z90
I just bought it I need some guidance on what I should get for my Sony z90 please
The Sony Z90 has a built in stereo microphone. If you wanted a mono, shotgun microphone, I recommend the Deity S-Mic S.
I had the Deity mic the one that you can control the audio can you tell me a little bit about that mic with the Sony z90 and also have a handheld wireless mic
How do I record internal mic on one channel and external mic on the second channel?
I don't believe you can. recording two seperate audio sources can only happen via the xlr's. so 1 xlr and 1 source through mic port would n
ot work.
thank you bro
Good
