Really liked these short videos about lenses with a soul. These days people talk to much about sharpness and lens faults. But they forget the lenses that produce amazing photos without filters or presets.

I know that it isn't as fast, but the images I've seen from the latter seems amazing. As a matter of fact, which voigtlander lens is your favorite so far?
But the cost of that Leica body and the lens , if a Leica lens, is mind numbing. Why do photog professionals as a group not all have Leica gear ? It is simply not necessary to spend the cost of a house to purchase a modern Leica M digital system....get real, little men in white coats may hand pour the magic lens potions in Solms, but really, the end result is no better than competent shooters can get with other quality gear.
And My version mint was less much much less Lovely rendering great lens!! Very zeiss like to me. Comparing to zeiss c/y 50 1.7 its close in pop... Thanks again u r the best!!
I enjoy the bokeh and color rendering by lens. Saw Christopher Nolan movie last night that he shot on film, Dunkirk from 2017. Similar modern clarity & sharpness but with realistic tones that worked well for action. Have read a camera rental post say Voigtlander needs to improve on repairs for lenses. Maybe not cost effective if breaks, but happy own my Micro 4/3 one. Like work flow for all manual lens :)
I have other Cosina/Voigtlander lens, for well over a decade, mount them on Leica mount Bessa cameras and you have a better than Leica M body and great lens + the 3 M mount Leica lens that I have . Why waste a fortune on a Leica M when you have to take bottom off camera simply to load film. Appreciate this comment not really a good fit on this thread.. but just my 2 cents.....

After taste these voigts on my sony I sold my zeiss 55!. How it compare with the 58 1.4 nokton slii? Which I have.

I'd take the Zeiss 55mm 1.8 for Sony E mount.
The correct pronunciation of "Voigtländer" ist "Fogtlander". Just my 2 cents.....
