Kinda makes you wonder why they didn't do all this stuff on day 1.
The Republicans didn't want any sanctions.
Then there is no show
The Republicans did not want sanctions when the war started.
They did. Sanctions have been a massive fail.
Sanctions are just theatrics for blind supporters.

I'm perplex about the sanctions applied to Russia, surely the maximum sanctions should have been set against Russia when they invaded Ukraine in the first place, it makes me think they are playing some sort of game and not really serious.
Just some responses to accompany USA's unilateral accusation of Russia (without evidence), so as to reinforce peoples' perception of Russia. Nothing important.
_Russia is in the process of slowly destroying itself; we certainly don't want this process to end too abruptly or too soon._ - j q t -
Do those sanctions work at all? 😮
how? Their economy is doing well regardless of sanctions. And they keep gaining more territory in Ukraine. Our politicians should think about different ways of dealing with that war.
@eddiephillips6740 The maximum sanctions have already been set. These are simply made-up further punishments.
Useless
As if sanctions work 🙄🙄🙄
1) Sanctions only work when there is no workaround.
2) There is always a workaround.
Them implementing additional sanctions just goes to show that they held back on the first round of sanctions. If Russia invaded Ukraine unprovoked, then why not implement every sanction possible from the get go? It makes no sense.
😂 No, this just shows that Sanctions are not working
Biden was a coward. Afraid of provoking Putin and escalating the war. Putin will not use nuclear weapons. Many reasons for that. That said, Putin has unleashed genocide on the Ukrainians from the beginning. That will continue.
Putin is all in. The sanctions will not alter Putin’s decisions. They have and will make the economic consequences for Russia worse than it already is. They are paying a price for Putin’s war of choice. For more on that you should see what a respected economist (Joe Bloggs) has to say on his UA-cam channel about the impact of sanction on Russia. These reporters are ignorant or speaking to an agenda.
@@HATCH5TThis shows the reporters are clueless or speaking an agenda. To better understand the impact of sanctions on Russia from the beginning of this war, you might want to check out what I respected economist, Joe Bloggs has to say on his UA-cam channel. Yea it is just takes time Russia already used half of its saving account from 2023 to bolster it's war economy and Russia’s taxpayers are paying the price. 2024 their welfare check will be even more drained

You people don't realise that Britain don't want to be thieves.
Why are you messing with us?
You don't know much do you?
Why not just sanction everything and call it a day? I’m sure Putin won’t mind.
Also why is it starting to feel like Navalny was some kind of CIA op? I have no evidence for this but the fact that it’s got such a reaction out of Washington makes me wonder.
Biden keeps talking sanctions.
How about doing a once for all 100% sanctions from here on out!

@hardassteel that's why US shouldn't veto a ceasefire. It reeks of hypocrisy.
We still buy Russia oil. Russia sells its crude oil to India which refines it and sells it back to us as non-Russian oil. Even we find ways of avoiding our own sanctions when it’s so ridicules…
As long as russia has Iran, china, India, African countries and others the eu sanctions are a second thought to Russia

Russia has boosted it's bilateral ties with Asia and Africa. Much as we have learnt the past year, the country economy is doing so well while working with these. As of 2023 Russia GDP grew by 3.6%, which beats every major economies in G7 and the collective west. So at this point be concerned about Europe coz it is the one that's seems suffering, especially Germany whose GDP growth was in negatives

American companies were able to sell arms and equipment to Russia and Russia were still able to sell their commodities to the world. In other words...nothing happened ⛳

Because half of Europe became dependent on Russian natural gas after Trump tabled T-TIP for a year and denied an energy collaboration between the U.S. and Western Europe.

@@rogerjamespaul5528 What could be worse than an unprovoked war?
You really gotta ask yourself, why doesn’t the US and NATO give Ukraine some of their best weapons off the bat? That would drastically change the tide of the war, yet they’re not. They see Ukraine losing and they’ll give them a new weapon here and there but still not enough to change the tide so what’s going on? Now you’re saying that they could’ve applied these sanctions since the beginning of the war but they’re just doing it? This is a war game, or a money laundering operation. The only other reason I can think of is they want Russia to lose as many soldiers and equipment as possible, and let them take half of Ukraine and then they’ll start sending their best weapons because at that point Russia would’ve lost so many people and equipment that the offensive would be a lot easier for the Ukrainians. Although they’re already running short on men as we speak.

No nation would use our banking system. Because of our mass sanctions America is no longer the worlds reserve currency. What youre talking about is theft & will have severe consequences.
Ask Europe how the sanctions blew up in their faces & now are all in recession.
Navalniy??? What about American 🇺🇸 citizen died in Ukranian prison Gonzalo Lira???
😂😂😂 sanctions not even working😊😂
Slava Ukraine! 💙💛
Will it actually do anything? Nope
Why is it that:
1. There are still many sanctions that haven’t been so far applied.
2. No matter how many sanctions are put on Russia, that all means nothing when goods are reaching Russia via such 3rd party countries as Belarus (against which, no international sanctions exist) and Lithuania whose borders seem to be very porous.
Turkey is a major route for sanctions busting. Turkey, a member of NATO FCS!
Russia has bought many sea going tankers on the world market. All are false flagged! This is one way Russia evades embargoes on its energy supplies.
Why would the U.S. and some European countries provide the weapons necessary to help Ukraine win the war against Russia and in so doing, end this very lucrative trade. Why?
Truth is as always, there is much money to be made from conflict anywhere in the world.

Personally, I don't think any sanctions should be levied in response to Navalny's death. It's none of our business how he runs his country. I'm fine with the other sanctions given the Ukraine war...whatever they might be.

The sanctions are like those used against Iran. Below is an example of 3 units of US sanctions. Note that these texts arte prepared by US employees who similarly prepared lists of sanctions against Iran. For example they sit in the office and work 8 hours on them and then forward the result to be approved and then announced by president. The employee who prepares them must have a wild imagination but this is his or her task:
Sanctions 1: Putin will be seen as a bad guy. So far he was indeed seen as a war criminal, but by being seeing as a bad guy too, means he is fundamentally evil. The negative effect of this on Putin would be that, even after being tried as a war criminal in the West, he always will be treated as a bad guy by the US government. (No joking, the sanctions are indeed like this).
Sanctions 2: Russian army will be seen as a harmful army. Note that in a previous sanctions prepared by another employee it has already been seen as a hostile army, but being seen as a harmful army, means the US personnel must take extra precautions which means only talk to Russians after having asked for such a thing as Russians are now seen as harmful.
Sanctions 3: the university diploma of Putin’s grandchildren who has been spotted in England, will be revoked to exert extra pressure on his grandfather as he causes so much more death by his actions.
Oh no....Russia is going to get 50 year old cold war munitions from NK.
Narratives! Narratives! Narratives!
How many more sanctions remaining 😂😂😂

Nah. We're good
Reaganomics is a problem, but the GOP keeps making more debt.. The only time the GOP cares is when they can use it like the Putin supporters did to block aid, or when they GOP used it as an excuse to harm the economic recovery under democratic presidents. The Debt ONLY goes down under democratic leaders.
Bushes III wars were extremely costly , and with the trillions we lost giving tax cuts to multinational corporations and billionaires under REAGANOMICS. Trickle down was an insult, not a policy. It decimated the middle class and working people.
Time we close tax lopholes , repeal the bush and trump tax cuts and raise the standard deductions so the working poor aren't subsidizing the foreign investors.
@@jeansherwood2428Reaganomics was also called "vodoo economics" because it created large deficits while cutting taxes for the wealthy. We keep repeating it over and over and all that happens is the WORKING classes became poor and the wealthy became super wealthy. Trumps tax cut , made private jets tax deductible and school supplies bought by teachers not deductible. His giveaway to multinationals paid dividends to foreign investors without creating jobs. It's CLEAR that the entire GOP wants one thing, to put ALL the burdens on the WORKING people and none on accumulated wealth.
it's backwards, tax wealth, not work. Taxing work disincentivizes working for a living. Remove all bush and trump tax cheats and raise the standard deduction, but that's to fair and HONEST for the GOP. It's all about tax cuts for specific things so that only those who itemize can claim them. Not they guy working 80+ hours a week to live in poverty, he gets no tax breaks.
