Wow!! I just walked in after struggling with my by pass current settings . I just installed my system today. I thought I would look over your videos for any tips and this was just uploaded. Once again amazing!!
Thanks! There is also a change in software comming that helps us users to understand for instance what parameter is causing the balance not to run. This to help new guys setting it up.
Really good video explaining a lot of Batrium settings, there are so many values to configure that is actually overwhelming first time playing with these numbers!!! This video answer a lot of these questions, awesome content mate! =]
Thanks for explaining that. One question about the balancing on the Batrium BMS, does it log / count / sum up current and how much time each cell has spent balancing so that you can track that over time without having to look at that web UI all the time?
Sir i have a question how many years thus lithium ion will be out of usage or failure? Thus all the cell will be replace? Or if using batrium how many years it will take to be replaced?
I have a silly question, my chargers are going to stop charging my 14S2P battery at 57.6VDC so if I divide 57.6/14=4.11VDC per module cells, I change the battery type to custom and change the low cell voltage to 3VDC(I have some sony US18650GR in this cell the cutoff voltage is 3VDC), the bypass volt 4.11 so if one of the cell modules reach first 4.11 and try to pass the longmons are going to try to keep the voltage in this level, waiting for the other to reach this 4.11, right?
Is this for a solar setup? If so don't you set a cut off voltage in the charge controller? Or is batrium used more so on pack balancing voltages/monitoring
You will of course have a cut off voltage on the charge controller. The Batrium can also controll some of those dynamically. Last resort is to leave it to Batrium to disconnect the source if needed with an external trip shunt or relay or contactor. Batrium as such is not just for solar. Batrium is a BMS system ment for everything that need a BMS and is running Lithium batteries
Im making a 14s 6p system from 64ah fiat 500e cells. Should i put the a long mon on every one of the 84 cells or can i just connect all 6p together and use just one long mon per perralell set of 6. I know you have one longmon per pack but each one of your packs have many cells in p.
Recommended is to stick below 400-600Ah per Longmon. With 6 in parallel of 64Ah you get 384Ah so you are in spec. With that said it works fine to have 14 Longmons in total. If you want to be able to disconnect a string i would divide it into 3p14s2p or 2p14s3p. but it requires more longmons
It depends. I have not found any cheaper that does the same thing. If you only want simple voltage monitoring and just top balance and only need for 14 cellls there is plenty of them. TinyBms RecBms and so forth. But they are not as easily expanded and still lacking some. But it all boils down to what you need.
in your computer screen the batrium show 68% SOC and the voltage between 3.77 and 3.86, I think is reasonable. My system show 3.87 to 3.99 and SOC 47%, do you think this is right
Have you set your totall capacity? Have you charged the system up fully and reset the number or even drained it to bottom? When setting it to max good practice is to drain to bottom and you will then see if your total capacity is correct and if you have packs that goes down earlier than others.

Great explanation. A lot of people like to know what these values mean and how things work within BMS, you've done just that :)
Just came across this, some great info! I’m configuring my Batrium now so this vid will come in handy in the near future. Thanks!

Thanks m8! Yeah the batrium have alot of places that you can screw it up unless you know whats going on :)
I will be referencing this Video alot after I get my hands on this system. Thank you!!!
Thanks! More such videos to come :)
Thanks I like your videos. The Batrium is just of of my reach for now but maybe someday. Keep up the nice videos
Another Great informative vid!!!👍
Thanks for explaining that.

Yes it does: snag.gy/CbesN6.jpg Is one example. Then you have reports too that you can run every night to see what have been done.

DIY Tech & Repairs thank u lithium guru
Hi you have a strange temp readings.......have you stuck one out the window...!
Those sensors drift alot im afraid.
are there any alternative (Cheaper or Open Source) to batrium?

Jose Garcia perhaps you have set wrong capacity in batrium vs real world capacity?
so you have any idea how to correct this

can I get the battrium BMS in Pakistan 🇵🇰
My Batrium should be here today. My cells are getting old I hope the Batrium will work for me . The cheap china bms will not burn enough to balance
IF you need any help just add a post on the forum :)
I just sent you something else👍
