Pharaoh's Fury Dark Ride Lotte World Theme Park - Similar to Indiana Jones Ride

- [4K] Pharaoh's Fury is an Egyptian-themed dark ride at Lotte World in Seoul, South Korea. Ride is similar to Indiana Jones Adventure ride at Disneyland and Dinosaur ride over at Disney's Animal Kingdom, but of course theme differently. What do you guys think of Pharaoh's Fury ride? Will you ride it?
"Egyptian epic ride with Pharaoh! Motion Dark Ride that the whole family can enjoy together - - experience a realistic ride as if you were actually driving." - adventure.lotteworld.com
Admission to the park is pretty affordable at $50 per person. There are plenty of dark rides and thrill rides for the whole family to enjoy.
Video filmed March 2019 at Lotte World in Seoul Korea.
It’s like someone went to Disneyland 15 years ago and tried to remember what the Indiana Jones ride was like.
disneymatt01 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Yes agreed...but he forgot to wear his glasses and take his add meds
@@MD-cv1zo Are you referring to the Idol of Mara?
Me: mom can we have Indiana Jones the ride
Mom: no, we have Indiana Jones the ride at home
Home: *Pharaoh's Fury*
Lol
This looks sorta fun though too 😂😂😂
😂 Yo, thanks for the giggle
Lol
your one spoiled kid if you have all this at your house ;)
Indiana Jones + Revenge of The Mummy= This Ride lol
With a little Journey to the Center of the Earth
Both of which BURY this ride.

Anthony Rivera yeah you’re right
This Ride lol 🤬🤣
Indiana Jones Adventure: Pirated Edition
Seriously
Agreed

I think so too
It's like they didn't even try and hide it, it would be a direct copy of Disneyland's if they spent another $95 million or so haha! Still looks fun, I like how it went "outside" into the main area, those little monorail things look neat!
Not bad at all. Also, that's a LOOONG ride.
Ayee
I'd ride it, my only complaint is the bits when it goes outside the ride, it breaks immersion so hard to go from inside a Egyptian temple or such to the outside of a indoor park, the bridge part was cool though.
Also the projectors at 3:32 would break immersion
@@OggyTheTiger Those tilted me so much, because I feel like it's not that hard to soften out those edges. Even though I'd rather everything to be practical, screens can work well if they blend.. Maybe it's a matter that expanding those edges would mean losing quality? But honestly I'd rather have a themed wall and on theme lighting over seeing a very clearly fake projector scene. They could have even done like some super cool SFX or maybe had their design team make an emblem that they paint on the wall.
Its honestly pretty genius, I'll give it to the creators for utilizing the outside area even if it isn't very thematic.
That ceiling seems a little too low... I’m surprised nobody hit their head in the beginning....
Imagine how I feel Every time I rife mattahorn at Disneyland. I hope I spelled that correctly.
throw me into the flames ha ha I get it
It's just the video. The first room is pretty large.
@@ween6301 you are not that taller than asians 😂 average male height in USA - 175cm South Korea 173cm. time to learn the world buddy
I was thinking the same thing!
You can see the Disney inspiration on this ride. But overall its not too bad.
yeah i’d actually like to ride this someday! looks fun
Andrew Hughes not at all. It’s very well done
True!
You visited Lotte World! Welcome. I am a Korean fan of your channel. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Korea.
I hate being the person to say "rip-off" when looking at a ride with similar themes to another ride, but this one is quite possibly a rip-off in all legal definition.
That said, it still looks pretty neat.
I agree with you. The company that makes rides is limited and can overlap themes. I don't think this is a problem.
Getting nostalgia seeing these rides. I remember pretty much all these rides from when I was a kid. Pretty cool to see them again and be like 'I remember that part!'

For a non major chain park, this ride is incredibly impressive!
3:12 even this light effect is from the indiana jones rides, and that part with the snakes after that, AND the skull scene after that. And inside the skull you go "hyperspeed". Even the castle in the park... OMG. copy cats.
edit: that fire on 4:34 😂
Well at least the ride as a whole is a pretty good experience :D plus it feels good to see this kind of ride not in a disney park
Yes I agree with your opinion BUT, it was a sensational epic ride when it was first opened. Korean loves this ride.
They used to have real fire and stuff in the large room with the skull. They got rid of that scene because it was dangerous or something 🤪
It was made by a company that made Indiana Jones.
@K S I don't judge people on going to Lotte World, I'm just saying that this park is... VERY similar to Disney, in an almost bizarre way. I know there are more theme parks in the world, but plagiarism is plagiarism
I rode this when I was 6 and I was scared shitless. My eyes were closed for 90% of the ride even though I conquered a looping coaster a few days before.
More than a decade later and I'm addicted to coasters :P
lmao why are comments so angry like yeah u can see some inspiration but what’s wrong with an alternative you probably don’t have to spend thousands traveling to (if living in korea of course.) looks fun though i’d ride it someday if I can
Me: I've never heard of this theme park
* Spends the next 3 hours watching videos of it
Thanks for sharing!
Intamin made this ride if y'all didn't know. (Also made California Screamin', AKA Incredicoaster at DCA) And I'm actually very impressed! Good theming and a very well made recreation of the Indiana Jones ride tech.
They've only got 2 rides like this, the other one being in Taiwan named Sultans Adventure.
To those who are unfamiliar, Lotte World is an amusement park next to a huge mall. It's been about 20 years since I last saw it though...
インディーをモチーフにしてるならまだしも、おんなじパターンやないかい
Wow, very cool! Never knew they had stuff like this in other parks haha
I like it. It’s fun. Some parts are a little derivative of Indiana Jones but I think they try enough new stuff for it to not feel like it comes from a fan and not someone just copying what’s popular
The yells and laughs from the other riders makes it sound like a fun ride.
This is definitely one of the better foreign theme park dark rides but honestly these rides will never compare to a Disney ride. They lack to the visual narrative that Disney excels at. Feels like a high production fair ride in that it’s a collection of different scenes loosely tied together. Disney is amazing at creating a solid and easily followable narrative through their rides. Overall great aesthetic for this ride but not a ton else.
3:52 is where in the Indiana Jones ride, the ball starts rolling towards you, this it’s just a ball of light, then you quickly go down just like the IJ ride at Disneyland
Interesting to see these parks and their rides from all over the world. I would take a park like this if we didn't have 2 Disney parks already. Even if it is a cheap copy of Indiana Jones ride, still awesome and would work for me!

Like a bootleg version basically. They even stole some of the same segments (like the scarabs lit up in headlights) but it's all done on the cheap
It is!
But you need to see that it is built on the top floors of an indoor theme park. They really had to cram in everything they wanted to make it their version of Indiana Jones. And I appreciate that.
@@gunwoolee6960 it really does not seem like they tried too hard. Disney difference I guess.
and the jeep wagon idea
Longer but not as violent. A faithful recreation by someone who clearly enjoys Disneyland. If Disney has no problem with it, neither do I.
It’s actually very to Indiana Jones at both Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
this ride seems awesome! obvs its similar to indy but it still seems different enough! i'd love it if this was in my local park!
The Pharaoh's fury and the Indiana jones also think that each individuality has its own. I heard that Lotte World has a huge renewal around the 40th anniversary.

In my opinion the ride is like Revenge of the Mummy and Indiana Jones combined the ride has great theming nice video SoCal 😃 this ride has a great immersive experience 😃
This looks pretty awesome 🤩🤩
2:12 こいつめっちゃ綺麗に骨残して食うなw
This ride is a real masterpiece, but breathtaking.
思った以上にインディで草
Imagine spending upwards of a million dollars on theming a ride that mimics one of the best thought-out dark rides in the world just to have your design team think it's a good idea to have not one, but two lift hills that aren't submerged in scenery... These rides are successful through immersion, through journey, through experience, and most importantly through bringing out the child in every rider.. I was completely at a loss when it went from theming to showing off that you're just in a big dome and everything is "fake".... Even if the back of my head is saying "none of this is real" the point of a themed ride is to make the rider feel like it is.
The best way to make a themed ride is, imagine if an alien were to come down to Earth and then went on a themed ride, that alien should believe that everything that just happened REALLY happened. There shouldn't be a time where the alien is like ??? THIS IS FAKE? and those lifts REALLY would have sold the alien on everything being fake.
Honestly I'm surprised at the theming and the ride system, then outside of being a similar technology like the motion vehicles on Indiana Jones, but they managed to add some drops in it.
the atmosphere is fantastic
ディズニーを真似して作ったんだろうけど、、

Hahaha so funny
Pretty decent "alternative" version!!
インディーの乗り物にそっくり笑笑
I tried to figure out what it was with this ride that made it feel awkward. It’s the lack of Audio and the low ceilings and tight rooms that take it from being Disney-esque
I agree, in the Disney ride, the higher ceilings made the space seem much more expansive, like you actually were inside an endless temple and could get lost. This just feels like a cramped room, the charm that just that _little_ bit more space gives is broken when the ceilings are so low. Also, the lack of audio or any sort of them music kinda makes me uncomfortable. You don't really notice how important the music is in setting up the mood of the entire experience until you're left without it.
When I see the ceiling I feel like I have to duck my head. XS
Not gonna lie this looks pretty cool
This looks cool. Much cooler than the Indy ride.
What a good and beautiful ride in a world of the farao's its beautiful making with all the details and the jeep I think it is in Florida USA gr Jeffrey 🍀🌞☕😘🌴.
Pharaohs fury: Can I copy your work?
Indiana jones: Yeah but just change it up a bit.
Honestly find lotte world’s rides the best because they have thrill and speed to the ride
In Taipei in Taiwan, there is a 'Sultan Adventure' multi-motion jeep ride.
2:10 Four dudes chilling in a hot tub, two feet apart cause they're all dead
That ceiling is UNCOMFORTABLY close.
I know it's a rip-off but I'm still impressed. Might be the best dark ride I've seen from a park that isn't Disney, Universal or Efteling.
Efteling?
@@mlpartclub412 It's a park in the Netherlands with a fairy tale theme. They have bunch of dark rides that are genuinely on a Disney level of theming and storytelling. Look up an on-ride video their for their most recent trackless darkride "Symbolica", and tell me it wouldn't be an headline attraction in any Disney park's Fantasyland.
I’ve been there like 10 years ago and it still looks the same. Im shook
Designer: What do you want your next ride to be themed to?
Lotte World: Egypt.
Designer: How much Egypt?
Lotte World: Yes.
The first shot made me laugh already... like how dare you putting an off-the-rack gyro drop next to a castle with forced perspective? 😂
外に出たり、映像が綺麗に四角形になっていたりして乗ってても楽しくなさそう
実際に乗ると面白いです。

Fully adapted version but very well done!
Looks fun. Ty for sharing.u are brave.
It's almost identical to the temple of every midnight in California but except it's Egyptian themed and it's slower and it's like a lot smaller because basically I'm tall and I can literally put my hand up and touch the ceiling
Disney steals so much IP that I am not even mad about this being a cheap knockoff.
I like the idea of runaway vehicle stretches.
Korea has competive themeparks too. I bet you visited Everland too!
I gotta say, for the duration of this ride, it's so worth the queue
I legit thought this was another version of Indiana Jones in a different Disney park at first.
Is the 50$ per person (as listed in the description) priced in usd conversion or the currency used in South Korea. Also if North Korea would stop using money to build nukes that could build some really good rides and parks
For not being Universal or Diney they did a pretty good job. Its a really long ride too.
한국 오신건가요??ㅠㅠㅠ 환영해요>>
the set is beautiful
This is actually pretty cool
Did they say anything about you using a GoPro on the rides? I want to film here whenever the world opens up again lolol
This is actually pretty good
Thats a pretty damn good ride
パクリなのかはまぁいいとして、ひどいアトラクションだな
What type of camera do you use?
I mean, you can tell these guys copied their homework from Disney, but hey, they added their own little spin on it, and it's really not all that bad, sounds like everyone was having fun! :)

Its an amazing ride wow
This ride and park is clearly geared towards locals cause any tourist who has been to Disneyland and has ridden Indian Jones will compare this and be tremendously disappointed.
Can confirm, rode it a few years ago and was tremendously disappointed.
"Similar to Indiana Jones Ride". (spit takes coffee all over his computer monitor while laughing hysterically!)
people are mentioning the "inspiration" from the india jones rides in tokyo disney sea and disneyland, CA, but the treasure room sequence and exterior of the entrance look very similar to the universal studio mummy ride
That was like riding a real life Coaster Planet mod
Love the theme!!! :D
Not as intense as Indiana Jones. Seems a bit watered down. It kinda reminds me of a tram ride at universal studios. I was waiting for the speed to pick up, but it never did. I’m assuming this is also a Disneyland as well though correct?
Wow that is really cool!
やっぱクオリティが違うなぁ…
At 1:20 and 2:52 when the jeep goes out into the light, it looks like the Indoor Waterpark of a Kalahari Resort.. XD
Lmao the little smoke "balls" at 1:38
Second hand cars from Disney?
Reminds me of the rides in Las Vegas in the 90's.
