I was walking from work by my preschool downtown brooklyn and once saw Adriana. I couldn't believe it. I took my chances and said hello. Told her I happen to be a donator for the photographer's medical fund. It was really cool to see her. She's very nice too. God bless you guys!
I'm originally from Jacksonville, but live outside of New York. Jamaican Ox Tail soup around here is on point. What these guy's are doing with the Caribbean sandwiches looks amazing. I can't wait to try it.
Something I’ve noticed about NYC food: it might be pricey, but you will get a MASSIVE portion. One of these sandwiches would fill me up for the entire day.
@@sedollee7496I live in Reno, one of my favorite places to get a Mexican American burrito, raised prices and dropped the amount of food. Pretty disappointing...
Its honestly ridiculous how big some of those Sandwiches are, the one with more coldcuts on it than a human being can count... would probably be like 2000 calories lol.. Thats almost what a person eats in a whole day. If i ran that shop i would make the portions half the size they have and adjust the price accordingly. Customers are willing to buy more easily instead of being intimidated by the size and price of those things, if they want more they can always order more.
I really love these small places. Food made with love. There's a small pizza place near me, the owner is proud of every single pizza that goes out the door. 110% effort is put into every one. It keeps me coming back.
Nice! keep these types of new food videos up please. I think they are your best ones! I went to NYC middle of May. Videos helped alot! Can't wait to go back.
Hey man I have to say when I was in New York City and was walking to the Intrepid museum I passed by a UPS depot and all the drivers were getting there sandwiches from this tiny store and I thought to myself "this is what Jon is talking about finding local spots to eat at instead of corporate brands so I stopped in grab a sandwich which was excellent and Being a fellow UPSER I got to talk to my New York Brothers! Thanks for your videos they made all the difference in my trip
Yep! Last year I found a great little pizza place just walking down the street after walking the High Line. When I was in NYC last month I definitely had to make a stop there.
As a Casino Chef, it's awesome what you guys created. The sandwiches look amazing, and you earned the recognition you got because of your talent. Keep the cash flow and lines coming in. I live about an hour and a half from NYC, and I'm looking forward in trying out your menu.
This is why NYC is my favorite....all time favorite City to visit, because there will always be things in NYC that you wouldn't see and/or try anywhere else!!!! Respect 💯
Those sandwiches at Datz Deli look so delicious. I am usually not for eating anything that has that many calories in one dish, but even I would be willing to try each of those sandwiches. The oxtail is too hard to resist!!
Everything looked delicious. But the the sandwich that caught my interest was the Bomb from Sal, Kris, & Charlie's Deli. Because it had Mortadella in it.
5:50 i make them at home all the time like that. The most difficult part is finding the bread, everything else you can buy hot peppers, mustard and make your own oil and vinegar, jersey mikes makes a similar looking sandwich and they got italian sandwiches everything in the us
Love the story of Datz’s Deli of how this young man got started. Praying for continue blessings. If you want to expand and open a location in Austin, Texas reach out
I just left NY after 2 weeks there and while I really loved the sheer number of options available; the quality however was simply good for most places. Very little blew me away; except maybe Hometown BBQ - their Pastrami and Beef Ribs were awesome. For Reference, I live in Melbourne Australia and while its not known for original dishes, the quality of local ingredients/produce see's other countries food done very well.
@@mikekell920 oh boy you really believe this is quality food , for me this is diarrhea sandwich for poor people , high quality sandwich is done with italian or german smoke meat with swiss cheese ,
Born and raised New Yorker here and I must say that it’s a bit overwhelming how many good food spots there are here. I’ve been here all of my life and still have yet to touch the surface of all of the amazing restaurants here. Fun fact: You can go to a new restaurant in NYC everyday for 74 years straight!
Great video as always. Hate I missed the premiere. I once heard Lauryn Hill say, "a beef patty with some coco bread." And now I see it before my eyes. Thanks Jon. Like button demolished!!!

I find it amazing that savvy New Yorkers would pay the cost of an entree for these sandwiches! In Australia, there is no way Mate, we would pay these prices for something at a corner store- exempt the Ox tail sandwich as Ox tail is expensive.
Literally as I’m watching this video this datz is being featured on fox 5 news how ironic lol I from far rockaway and definitely will be trying this after I get off of work..looks like cutz n slices in Brooklyn have met their match

Well it used to be cheaper social media craze & tourist made them change the price
I think the crazy inflation continuously making the portion smaller.

$17 for The Bomb was a steal. So many great ingredients & sheer volume for the money.

Back in the day like 10 yrs ago it was 9 bucks for that gigantic sandwich. From the looks of it hasn't changed in 10 yrs.
at $17 you're better off going to an actual restaurant
